I cried two times in this episode, i did get chills when Ram said she loved Roswaal but i cried for Roswaal when he was so desperately running to for his book and the scene was flashing past-present. And second when the credits rolled with the Ram insert song.

In any other show, Garfiel's admiration and loyalty to Subaru would feel forced, but it really works here. He has complete confidence that his boss is going to win and he's genuinely gone from one of my least favourite characters to one of my favourite in one season.

other than that; killer animation, amazing character development and really engaging pacing. this show just keeps getting better

This part is one of the best parts of this anime.

The directing and music of the wonderful text of this part and the beautiful stories and wars make this part wonderful.

Damn, episode where something finally happen. And A LOT happened.
Finale, great, is Ram really gone? Damn Roswaal still fooling around? Damn Stockholm syndrome. But after this he shouldn't be such obstruction for Subaru without his foretelling book, right?

Fight with Elsa, wtf, this gone wild. And that vampyre erotism at the end... wow.

Emilia's trials... I wish i could see more. What had she seen? Only possible future? Some sounded like what Subaru went through already. I wish we would see glimpse of If route, one where Subaru turned into arcibishop of sin, just to put some fear between Emilia and him, but in the end he and Rem(of all people?) help her through. Seriously, she doesn't even remember Rem at this point, neither I know about some closer relationship between them two.

But hey, Remember when Subaru tried to Roleplay Senku from Dr. Stoned? Because I won't forget that one soon. Did that happen in light novel? Or they just add that as easter egg right now? I was laughing hard at his fail. Power of science!

Holy shit this episode is beyond amazing. My favourite episode of season 2 easily outside of "Parent and Child"

The stakes are high, characters are developed. Truly powerful ending, 29 minutes of pure content, this episode is a big example of why I love Re:Zero so much.

Phenomenal episode, I will surprised (may not be because this is re:zero for crying out loud) that this will be topped. Easy 5/5

I don't understand what do you mean. Just because there is not as much action in Mushoku Tensei at the beggining it doesn't mean it's any worse that Re:zero. Mushoku Tensei's world and history in the LN is way more developed that in Re:Zero, for example.

I'm not comparing anything and I don't want to get into any arguments, but I think both of the series have their own appeal.

Hmmm, okay.
I don't know anything about Mushoku Tensei's light novel, however, the anime is a piece of trash so far, but some people claim that, right now, Mushoku > Re:Zero

Have a nice day, my friend. See you

How is it trash? I don't get how you can think that.

Mandatory where's ram insert song for download comment. Pretty much one of my favorite insert songs from this season. Praise to Rieshon

I see Re0 is not safe from the Attack on Titan syndrome. Though, in a less adamant way. I see less hate threads here.

Fantastic episode, great fights, and a very touching ending. Shed an invisible tear for Ram. But, as a Re0 noob, I have to ask this stupid question: is she really dead?

Nothing but praise to White Fox for these constant 30-minute episodes. Sometimes they get very dense because of all the talking, but I have enjoyed them a lot.

Holy fuck an absolute masterpiece of an episode. Emilia completes her third trial, minerva meets her at the witch's tea party to fill in for Echidna who is off. Pretty emotional interaction between the two, Minerva although with a title of witch, sure is a sweet heart. Emilia has finally freed sanctuary but is welcomed with light snow. Subaru shows his A+ in chemistry, and honestly i cannot say much, i failed chemistry in secondary. Dude has his priorities straight and runs back in for Beatrice.

Elsa vs Garf fight, start to finish animation was silky smooth, voice acting was phenomenal from both ends, art was great with the change of environments and Garf's transformation, overall amazing fight cannot stress it enough, personal favourite from s2. Garf showing how much faith he has in Subaru which was funny, his fighting resolve was also that of steel, promising to kill Elsa as many times as it took. Him ripping the hippo's fucking head off mid air had to be one of most insane things he's done, Elsa's very dark past is revealed, pinpointing where she probably lost it and snapped. Amazing job at showing how the two were fighting tooth and nail at the end, trying what ever means to kill the other, and who knew the most uncanny love could start in a literal blood bath. Garf showing start to finish how much of a fucking alpha he is, with that final finisher. Although she is practically shown as a psychopath, Elsa's final moments were very calming in a way, were i felt like she died happily and somewhat contempt, or that was how i interpreted it anyway.

Ram and Puck vs Roswaal was a great fight. Clown man really can fight when he wants to, some fluid animations in that fight. Puck giving Roswaal a scare of his life was hilarious, no on expects big puck. Ram delivering an amazing heart-warming confession, maybe on par with her sisters. Really loved it, had me liking her character a lot more .Ending had me in shambles though, it was clear Ram's motives were her own and from her heart, everything she did then was for her love for Roswaal.

Suehiro Kenichiro absolutely shredding the violin this episode, OST was hands down fantastic. The transition to the ending felt like i just finished a movie, and was reminiscent of certain episodes from season 1.

Another 10/10 episode. It took me some time to arrive to this realisation, but Rem's absence from the back of Ram's mind really helps the latter to focus on her own goal in life without holding anything back. I'm starting to think that this might be the main reason behind Rem's "disappearance", since she might have been just badly wounded in a fight and for all other practical purposes nothing would change. I mean, sure, it also gives a strong reason to Subaru to chase and bring down Regulus, but even that goal could be executed in a myriad of different ways.

I guess that this might be the single Re:Zero season to get a 10/10 from me.

I personally don't think Mushoku Tensei is trash but it's bound to get some hate since it's "yet another" OP protagonist isekai with a somewhat generic setting.
Even if it's one of the first isekais out there and it actually tries to produce proper world building and develop decent characters, the genre is so overused people automatically call every new isekai trash.
It also doesn't help that the MC is such a pervert; it kills the show for many who categorize him as a pedophile.

Of course, the anime adaptation is still very young and it will take a while before we can really judge it and compare it to other shows, but so far I would say it doesn't come close to Re:Zero as it lacks the psychology and character development of the latter and Rudeus' character is bad or cliché in some aspects (OP protagonist; so pervert it's disturbing; builds a harem overtime) to a point it starts to hurt the storytelling and the other aspects the series try to build up.

So far, Mushoku Tensei is a somewhat generic isekai with most of the drawbacks from the genre and its most common tropes, but done right. Sadly these drawbacks and tropes are what brings the show criticism and overtake a decent chunk of its good aspects.

Dust explosions, according to my knowledge, are dependent upon the area being poorly ventilated and a specific ratio of dust being scattered/spread. There's some specific chemistry about it I think someone could probably expand on, but hopefully that's a good enough base explanation.

First of all, let me say "Well done Emilia" after all, she finally completed the 3rd and last trial, breaking the sanctuary's barrier all the while doing all that with her head held up high, hopeful for a wonderful future despite being shown countless horrible scenarios. Nice of Minerva to somewhat be there to see Emilia's accomplishment when all the others are busy, all except Echidna who has been totally brought to her knees by Emilia.

And now... The climax of the multiple eps of buildups... 2 ABSOLUTELY BOMBASTIC FIGHTS!!!
1. Elsa VS Garfiel - The down and dirty, melee fight
2. Ram & Puck VS Roswaal - The fantastical magical fight

  • Elsa's and Garfiel's fight is one of, if not THE FUCKING BEST RE; ZERO FIGHT EVER ANIMATED!!! The paramount of desperate intensity, each using whatever they can to deal damage to one another. Gruesome brawl to the death that eventually ended with a nice hydraulic press action by Garfiel. What a fucking GOAT, the guy's insane as he claimed he is, but it's only appropriate to be crazy when your opponent is the naturally deranged assassin who took pleasure from feeling the warmth of others' entrails. Well fucking done Garfiel!

  • Ram and Puck VS Roswaal doesn't lose to the other battle, Roswaal's magical might is entirely exercised in this fight, especially when Ram confessed her love for Roswaal. On that note, I did expect Ram to hold feelings for Roswaal despite her smokes and mirrors but wow, Roswaal literally nukes the living hell outta the little girl who had just claimed her love for him.

Aside from the fights, 2 things that really fueled up my satisfaction is seeing Elsa die in a battle that truly captures her way of fight, her way of living; bloody, relentless without mercy. It's a fitting end for such a psychopath. In the end, the best ecstasy she felt is feeding the warmth of her own body before getting compelled by the weight bearing down from the mabeast's ass.
The second thing is seeing how Roswaal became so utterly insulted and pained after being betrayed by his own thoughts. Oh, that girl you thought hated you? She loved your ass. Oh, that book you held so dearly and so devoted to following, the one your teacher gave you 400 years ago? BURNT TO ASHES!

What can I say... This ep provide me with rapturous satisfaction!

The end was really epic, very movie-like with that music playing on and explosions going while Roswaal and Ram approached their conclusion.

Many implications there. Kinda unclear if the survived too, felt like the path of no return there.

And also:

- Minerva was most likely the one lying at that grave, that's why she didn't want Emilia to see her (so it was she not Echidna who harboured all other witches inside her)
- Whatever happened back when the Sanctuary was created with Echidna, Roswaal and Hector is still unclear, we only know he speaks as him. And that Hector did wound Puck back then.
- Garf wa bitten by Elsa, that mean her blood is now in his veins. Something tells me we will hear about her yet again (maybe Garf gets mad trying to kill the Subaru like in Emilia's vision?)
- And it's kinda unclear if the blizzard (and whole frozen future) is the result of Roswaal-Puck fight (or what exactly the barrier was guarding).

Very interesting episode full of actions and emotions, really enjoyed it. Combat scenes are excellent, Garfied showed his full talent to put an closure for the "main" antagonist Elsa of the Arc, too bad there wasn't much lore of her and to be killed off without a deeper sympathize dynamic is a shame. Roswaal crys out for the bible hits me, was thinking Ram only wants to distracts him with her confession but seems like I was bit wrong, and that ended his dream. Am looking forward to the next episode on time this time.

Great episode.

I don't think Ram is dead.

Beatrice now has to leave the mansion, will Subaru say that he is 'the one' for her now?

What was it that Emilia saw? Subaru was standing beside someone. Is this foreshadowing some kind of misunderstanding or was Echidna just playing with her? Petra's voice was in there, what was that? It was meant to be the future and Petra is a maid now so what and who was Emilia seeing?

What is the issue with Minerva? Seemed a bit too emotional to not be related to Emilia in some way.

I actually liked Elsa getting to tell her backstory. She understood that she was in real danger but still tried to save Melli, which cost her.

The Ram and Roswal business is truly infuriating. Especially considering how harsh Ram is with others.

I love the way they keep Subaru powered down, despite his amazing ability, and he has to function with all this madness going on around him.

I can not say much words. Its simply bafflingly. The two separated thrilling battles in the middle of Emillia last trial. What a direction, really a satisfaction. Even i shall put aside how nice Otto decision by burning up the whole mansion, only to get aways from those dangerous situations. Lol. Lucky, Subaru didn't forget about that loli spirit. If not, well....

Anyway, i wonder if that visual of Emilia last trial showed the real future disaster event. No fuckin way. Well, the first met of Minerva-Emillia just full of question, why its so emotional between them, until i decided to take a little peek through a certain article about the relations between her and Emillia. Even those witch-body, inside the tomb also make my mind guessed such a wild line. Well, ofc its added to the more mystery of Emillia background, either that was a true deal or not. But, left aside that first, and the later situations after Emillia cleared the trial, lemme make a minor comment about the fights.

Elsa, were you really death there? No fuckin way. I honestly feel suddenly justified against that backstory of her. But well, lets finished that, Garfiel! In the mean time, Ram, clarified that shit? And wtf with that last? No fuckin way too, right? Roswaal!!! The insanity shall be tolerated if its contained a limit. But dang you, its already out of control!

Well, i think that's it for now. Because i don't want to say more words about this episode, like i said in the first line. Lol. So, move on!

That was top tier Rezero, the fight with Elsa and Garf, from animation and direction everything was top
tier and that neck twist and roar, still need someone to tell me how come after biting her neck the regeneration
of her stopped? not 100% sure but I'm most certain Elsa fell in love with Garf for a moment.

Ram confess could have been better felt a bit fast paced but I guess they couldn't drag the episode more than 28 mins, so hats down to that, watching Rosswals bruh moment face was such a bless. 6/5

While s2 part 1 did an amazing job of building up subaru's character, they've done such a good job this season of giving everyone else development. Ram was the last character who they hadn't really given a moment in the spotlight, but when she got her moment she owned it. Elsa v garfiel was amazing but those last 8 minutes were peak, love this show
