Have to get used to hearing Log Horizon without Database T_T Other than that, amazing to see this show return after so long. My girl Akatsuki is back as well, eventho she didn't appear a lot. But the conversation with the princess was nice.

Honestly, it still felt like the Log Horizon of 5-6 years ago. So stoked for more. The story is a bit hazy for me right now, as I am trying to recall what happened before all this. I am sure it will come back to me in time.

I meant to rewatch the previous 2 seasons before this one to refresh my memory but I never got around to that lol. Oh well, it's nice to have this show back after so long. Looks like the destruction of the Round Table has already begun, it should be interesting to see how things play out this season.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

Tbh, I don't care anymore, it's been too long, and in the meantime there were many other good and better anime that overshadowed Log Horizon, so now I'm really not interested in this sequel. After the first episode, I feel completely tired and not interested in what's next.

You should rewatch the 2 whole seasons and see that Log Horizon is still one of the best isekais out there, considering that you liked it and you don't remember. If that's not the case well, drop it

I clearly remember what was there - it's doesn't make new season less boring. World doesn't stops when 2nd season ended. There is nothing interesting in this story. The idea is so worn out now, characters are not that interesting either. I don't feel nostalgia to this anime because after all this time I just feel it was mediocre. New season didn't change anything so it is not revolutionary comeback of old series but something that should have been released years ago. Now it's just echo of the past.

Yep as I sad if you dont like it then stop watching. Cause the world is really interesting and rich and the character development is also amazinlgly good, even the supporting ones get developed. Well a lot of the series are echo of the past hahaha and they are amazing, even "new adaptations" lol

If you haven't watched Log Horizon season 2 in a while, I would honestly recommend going back and rewatching it, as even without having read past the anime in the light novels, it was very obvious on rewatch that season 2 was building up a lot to plot points that were not there. You could see the cracks Eins was talking about mentioned, the prelude to the war between Westlande and Eastal, and overall season 2 just felt like a build-up.

As for this episode itself, it feels like we never left. 6 years later and Log Horizon is back just as we left it. I'm excited, it feels like this is going to be great.

We're moving into new territory, at least in regard to what's been published in English...and pretty much what's been published as LNs in Japanese. Season 2 took us to the end of Volume 11; Volume 12 is in pre-pub in Japan. Not sure how far the WN goes.

Westlande claims to be the legitimate heir to the empire that once comprised all of that island, if not all of Japan-equivalent; it's been a bit since I've read that segment. They consider the Estal chaps to be in rebellion. Under that logic, appointing a Duke of Akiba is well within their rights; on the flip side, it's pretty much a declaration of war. It's also flouting the Kunai (sp?), the chaps who manage all sorts of stuff behind the scenes, as the Round Table purchased all of Akiba and gifted it to the Yamoto Server itself...and the Kunai serve as the Server's representatives.

Eins is delusional if he thinks Westlande and Plant what's-its-face actually give a damn about the folks he's so concerned about; yes, there's only one guild in Westlande...but the reality is that those in charge show as much concern for the rank and file as Stalin and Chairman Mao did; it's a totalitarian state cloaking itself as something else. Of course...as with Honesty, he's going to be one of those at the top, a token person expressing concern for those he has nothing in common with and no understanding of how to motivate them or provide a means for them to actually get their feet under themselves. Since he's failed to persuade the Round Table Council to do as he wishes he's now seeking to join/establish a government which will dictate what occurs. He's so damn sure of his righteousness that he doesn't see the evil of what he's willing to do.

Raynesia is the spelling used in the official LN translation.

She's got an interesting choice ahead of her.
Acquiesce to an arranged wedding which will remove her from all the responsibilities that have come her way as a result of her striking out on her own and asking for aid from the Adventurers in Akiba during the Goblin Invasion...which saved Estal.
Or continuing to go her own way, despite her stated desire to spend her time indolently sleeping and eating tasty food while sprawled in her jammies.
Having paid attention to the opening and ending sequences, she ain't gonna acquiesce.

The thing is...I'm not so sure her parents are really in favor of the arranged marriage themselves, but rather feel they have no choice given the strength of the Noble House requesting it.
Her mother did ask concerning Krusty, and also said she needed to make sure she had no regrets over anything left undone prior to her marriage.
If Raynesia chooses to rebel and not accept the arranged marriage...if they don't have any means of compelling her to accept it that leaves them in the clear in regard to overt actions by the House demanding the marriage.
Maybe.

Log Horizon: Entaku Houkai Episode 1

Round Table seems already cracked.

Intro Shiroe tell intro a week before happened.
So it's already happen

Eins suspect as villain, seems Honesty seems lost much funds because charge to inspect Fairy ring, and didn't get enough support from Round Table.
Perhaps if Crusty was there the fairy ring inspection would be handled to D.D.D. because the most independent Guild in Akihabara. That's my opinion.

More Missing people case increased.
Like Crusty but even worst, no contact, no information even once. Dead or log out cant be approved, since nothing any information.

Mercenary guild predict seems they log out or back to reality but it's no prove without they log in back to the game.
And something like must be accepted by the most of adventure.

Gladly What Crusty really want to be seems already achieved. No more newbie in Akihabara. All player more than level 50 now.

Well we know there's a training camp but somehow change became hell raid.

And last Wedding problem from western and eastern, this one sounds difficult because Crusty was absent, even he didn't want to.

In my opinion D.D.D. Guild is the hardest position with being a biggest guild but leader in absent out of continent, because teleported accident.
But he still lucky to available contact with people in japan server, most another people was lost contact. This is why became hard and complicated.

That still doesn't explain what authorities do the People of the Land have over Adventurer.

And if Eins decided to leave, then why not so be it? There are still other guilds in Round Table.

Also, what make Eins so special just because he has the Duke title given by the People of the Land?

I just can't see why just a Duke title can turn the table against Round Table, still doesn't make sense.

i agree, seems like a stupid story premise if any random noble (or bestowed title) can just take over akiba.

Let's clarify things.

-Eins guild, Honesty, is having financial issues because leechers are joining his guild (Basically players who spend their time doing nothing but spending the guilds resources).
This is because Eins doesn't demand anything to them. In addition to that, the old members see this as unfair, asking him to kick them, which goes against his principles.

-Remember that the adventurers are no longer owners of the city buildings, giving the ownership to the server. This happened in S2 and was done because of the astronomical rent these places demanded for use.

Even if that's the case, seems to me like Rayneshia is the one misstranslating literally as opposed to Lenessia. Just sounds more natural and in line with the type of fantasy and other names this world has set up. How they pronounce it, too. Will hate to have to get used to this.

Pretty bad take that I'm seeing all over this thread, sadly. Why the hell would you want the show to get pushed back yet another week to make room for a recap episode when, first of all, there's no way they can properly explain and encapsulate all the stuff that happened in the past 2 seasons in a way that still looks like an anime episode, and second, you can just... rewatch it or look for a youtube video of someone doing a proper, well explained recap?? Just why would you want an official recap episode?

Thats not entirly true, there at least 16 volumes of the web novel with 15 & 16 yet to be released. He planned 15 volumes but never included the Kaname/China server side stories in that estimation.

I would expect it to wrap up around 18 volumes providing he sticks to his original schedule. If that's the case the we could get a final 24 episode series in a few years.

Basically, they took all of the Akiba zones the Round Table Council succeeded in purchasing off the market, vesting ownership in the World Function that managed the Yamato region.

Zone ownership allows you to set the permissions for various groups within that zone, including the ability to ban a given individual or group from entry to a given zone; Shiro's purchase of the zone the Akiba Guild Hall was in was what allowed him to exclude all the senior members of Guild Hamlin from the Guild Hall...which is where all the Bank functions occur. Guild Hamlin no longer exists as a result. A zone owner can declare the zone a PK-allowed or not-allowed zone as well as a number of other things impacting daily life.

Zone ownership is freaking powerful.

However, not only do you need to have the upfront funds to purchase the zone, you also have maintenance fees you have to pay on an ongoing basis...and it was the maintenance fees that were breaking the Round Table Council financially; there was the very real danger of their defaulting on the maintenance fees, which would result in the Guild Hall zone going back on the market...with everyone now being well aware of the level of control ownership would give them over those inside Akiba, so you don't want that happening since Plant whats-its-face over in the Holy Westlande Empire would be quite happy to purchase the zone, just to list one group of baddies who might use it to leverage power.

The Yamato Server wasn't going to alter the default Zone settings, and maintenance fees had no impact upon it; turning over ownership to the server guaranteed the status quo in regard to permissions for a given zone in perpetuity, since once vested in the server, a zone would never end up on the market again.

Many of the things that Zone ownership grants apply to the People of the Land as well as to Adventurers. In general, those that don't have to do with how Adventurers innately differ from the People of the Land (such as resurrection).

Prior to the Disaster, certain zones were not available for purchase in the game environment, and the People of the Land could not purchase zones at all in the non-game reality.
Now, however, all zones are available for purchase, and while I can't recall if People of the Land can purchase Zones...so long as they are allied with an Adventurer who can handle the interactions with the Server that's a moot point, and the Holy Westlande Empire has allied itself with Plant whats-its-name.

I can't remember if the relationship between the game's Zone ownership system and the People of the Land's property ownership systems has been detailed, but they weren't the same thing prior to the Disaster, and just how they inter-relate post-Disaster could have a significant impact upon the political situation between the Holy Empire and Estal (sp?), should the author choose to go down that route. One thing, however, is pretty clear; Zone ownership conveys power that the People of the Land's property ownership system couldn't as a result of the power it grants over Adventurer's actions.

Anyway, giving Zone ownership to the Server removes the aspects of Zone ownership that impact Adventurer privileges' from use in political conflicts, including those of the People of the Land via Adventurer proxies.

LH: Entaku Houkai. What a name. Its looks like these season will only resolved Eins disturbance, when there were several issues in front of them, like moon communication, adventurers sudden dissapearance, and the fairy ring. Slowly but sure, eh? Its fine, Deen, take your time.

While having a direct involvement with Nureha guild, its just too far which i guess that Nureha didn't even have a control over the appointment of Eins as a Duke. So, what kind of role Plant Hwyaden had this time, and what about Nureha herself? Those closed eyes guy really took off his own guild problem into a political movement that might became a new great conflict to Yamato as a whole, especially with a history of two leaders of those two areas.

After what the fuck happened previously, i might kinda dissapointed with those guy way of thinking. But, well, everyone had their own limit that can be blown up right away after it can't even be resolved. Poor him, and too bad for princess Rayneshia point of view with that kind of engagement. When Krusty-sama needed much, he won't be there for her, really, too bad.

Its looks like, Shiroe even took a passive movement first, these time. By knowing that he was facing a lot of dipshit problems, i can't blame at all with his negative respond to Eins in the conference table, like his usual persuasion. At the end, a villain in glasses can't do much to prevent the current problem that indeed lead them into a disbandment of Round Table Conference.

Lets see next how they handled those thing. Despite, damn, Deen improved the quality of the arts. Thats good, even i am still prefer the first season art style much. And the oped theme song sounded and looked not so engaging. Oh well, at least they have a guts to continued this series, really, that's good point ....

So excited for this series to be back. Might be a bit too early to tell but at least for now I really enjoyed the first episode and the story seems to be heading in an interesting direction. Hopefully it will be on par with season 1 since season 2 was kind of a let down but we'll have to wait and see.
But already a decent amount of Akatsuki screen time and a bit of Minori too. I wonder if she'll be important this season since she's on the cover art. Looking very promising so far.

This story has always been a slow burner with a lot of worldbuilding and politics. Did you revisit the first two seasons before starting this? There are numerous unresolved plot points to navigate this season, one episode was never going to be enough to get the story moving.

I am very happy to be able to revisit the world of Log Horizon but even I should have known better and waited for a few episodes to air so that I could binge-watch it, but the hype is too real for me.

rock OP decent enough, comfy ED.
So nice to see Shiroe & Akatsuki back, other familiar faces dont recall names or their backstories at all.
Deen could've easily made recap episode or sell recap film for extra cash but they didnt. Will just see if new episodes gradually remind of past factions & conflicts.

Ack, it's been so long since the last season that I'm a little lost! I could go for a recap episode, which is something I don't usually say.
