Have it ever crossed your mind that the anime will connect those dots in the next episode, so you are effectively spoiling many people who haven't realised why Anaak's parents were actually killed? You are using yet unrevealed information to make the inference.

It's easy to be amused by people not being attentive enough, while you know the source material, but still, be respectful and let people discover the twists and turns of the story by themselves. What is more, don't forget that anime can switch things around and reveal things at its own pace.

Well, what I could infer as an anime only was this:
Anaak Jahad isn't the lizard girl we've seen so far, but her mother, and she was chosen as a princess and given the green april, at some point she broke one of the princesses' rules: don't love, and she moved and hided because of this; later, they're both murdered, first his lover and then Anaak (this comes from that line about Anaak's only problem being that the chicken cakes cooker was murdered), and their daughter, having survived this attack (and witnessed it, apparently), with Anaak's green april, has decided to take revenge against those who she ensures murdered them: the Jahad family. As Anaak was a princess, and the princesses seem to treat each other as sisters, Endorsi considers the lizard girl her newphie, also, this might happen with Yuri too, if she ever finds out.

So its reveal that everyone has a class they belong to. It looks like you don't travel up the tower individually, but as a guild?

Bam attends class for wave controllers and that gimp suit gal, Hwaryun was also in his class, her design looks awesome and showed no ill-will towards Bam. I wonder what is her story, since she is an able body fighter and a wave controller.

Rachael daydreaming of Bam and friends leaving her behind on the tower. I guess she really want to see those stars badly, which I'm sure there more to it, then that.

Rest of contestants become friends, due to a assignment by the Admin.

Anaak backstory is tragic and it answer why she is so bitchy.

This episode was so good! Holy s**, this anime is getting even better. The way the plot is developing is absolutely insane!

I feel bad for Rachel, they did great by showing her scenes...it develops the character, but as Khun said, she's the weak one.
And again, Rachel and Bam missed both the perfect opportunity to settle up everything, but i guess it's too soon, and that makes sense, otherwise, i think that Bam maybe would lose his motivation to get stronger right now.

Gotta love how Khun convinced Bam to fight and get stronger in order to climb the tower with Rachel ;) Nice one xD

Those last minutes! Wooow! So The gree princess of Jahad is apparently dead???
But i feel her, her reason is very tragic yet i doubt that Endoris was involved with this.

Can't wait for the next episode!!

Anaak is out for revenge and nothing else. It means very little to her at this point to kill Bam to get a more powerful weapon (black march is a higher ranked equipment than green april) to better get her revenge (although at this point good fucking luck). Spoiled certainly isn't the right word. She grew up poor and is an orphan.

I don't know why they translated it as Anaak is an orphan, but NO! Anaak IS the daughter of Ranker Anaak

So... it seems "Anaak" will still be around for the time being. Such a shame since I'm finding her extremely annoying but well. At least, I hope her character becomes interesting now that we know more about her background and motivations. Her revenge journey isn't really original, narratively speaking but if it's handled decently, I won't complain.

Kind of a characterization episode overall. There was some development for both main characters (except for Rachel who really needs to give some reasons for her behaviour, by the way) and side ones. There were also some parts filled with a fair amount of Rachel angst and some family drama regarding Anaak and Endorsi but honestly, I'm not sure if I will care for any of that. Only time will tell.

P.S.: Bam with his new clothes looks... way less badass than I expected.

Not gonna lie I binged the last 6 episodes. Its way better than I expected. My main concern given how its an adaption of an unfinished source is the ending. It will definitely be open. And Idk how long we have to wait for sequels.

The "reverse Made in Abyss" vibe is gone now though. Feels less mysterial than in the beginning.
There is lots of potential for cringe but so far its fine.

Lizard princess is entertaining to watch, so is the other princess.

I do feel like we are forcefully underinformed for the sake of curiosity, which is fine as the MC also doesnt know shit, but right now he isnt interesting and holds the other characters back.

Hey don't you get it. It's mystery. All of these unanswered things and dropping shit left and right without build up is mystery. /s
I mean the first episode made me believe this is about different kinds of tests like courage, wit etc. Now its basically a battle tournament. It still the setup phase for the world, but its not really perfect when the "main" characters right now do know basic stuff we as viewers havent been told because we are supposed to follow bam.

That's not how it works but whatever. To me this is not mystery. I also hated this in Re:Zero where every other character used to know something important but no one bothered telling poor Subaru about it.

This episode we learn about more of the side characters including Anak and Endorsi and their family issues.

I enjoyed the part when everyone is having interactions with each other and casually becoming friends, it was cute. Also, Khun is such a great friend with Bam trying to protect his feelings on Rachel.

this world-building is getting better and the animation seemed more exciting and lively to me.

I miss part where Bam wasn't clueless blank protagonist sheet as he make fun of shipping Endorsi and Hatz together.

The episode is fine concerning it adapted the source material faithfully.

But other than that, I have to say I am pretty disappointed about the quality of the show so far.

The art style is a little "simple" at some points and the fight scenes are mostly rough, unpolished, and sometimes even awkward.

I would really appreciate Telecom Animation Film if they were to put in a little more
effort; if they happen to do so in later episodes I would easily crank up my rating to a 6 or 7.

Another week and another episode of Tower of God.
Without a doubt, this is the fastest growing series of the season, each episode is better and the 6th was no exception.

It seems that the dynamics and relationship of the team is getting better. Interesting secrets about the princesses of Jahad are revealed.
Rachel doesn't want weaknesses ... and Aguero doesn't want her to be a weakness for her friend.

This is hooking us more and more .. by far, the number one contender to Anime of the season and maybe, for AOTY.

We will have to wait for the next week!

It was a good episode especially with Anak and Endorsi at the end. The way the episode ended with Anak shouting Endorsi was well done. They should have shown who was in each position a bit more clear though. In the webtoon they showed a list of the characters and what position they were in.

Season 1, Episode 33. Although I would suggest to read it from the beginning since there were a lot of scenes and details that were cut in the anime, but at the end of the day it's your decision.

I hope you don't skip the first season especially the last parts. The ending is what got me to really like the ToG and now it's the only manga/manhwa I read. (Mostly because I usually don't have the time to read. I know there are a lot of good stuff out there though.)

I would provably wait for it to end in the anime and then continue with season 2 of the webtoon (assuming the anime cover all of the first season of the webtoon).
So it provably depends on how they will adapt the rest of it to an anime if i see this scene in the way you saw it.

Comparing for the other previous episodes, this episode slightly better my judgement. Only one slight of piece for me, just that all.

Not surprising when Anaak revealing it was not the real Anaak. This show really like to make some sudden twist in such a fastest way ever. I just want to see some battle, hope this lesson time over in just 1 episode only. Not much i can say for Yoru, i just hate that guy nonsenses mind. Okay, next.

I just dropped the show. This is simply too boring. Character development close to zero, not a single really interesting character, an unengaging plot. It has been a while that I have seen a show that was as dull and generic as this one. I really do not understand the very high ranking of this show. It is not even remotely on the same level as for example "Vinland Saga" or "Made in Abyss".

Let's see. The original Anaak was a mother to a child who, for some reason, got murdered by her step-sisters. Consequently, her child took up her name and went on to climb the tower, attempting to hunt every Jihad's princess. The question is, why did the princesses mercilessly kill one of their own? This is intriguing.

I am with Khun about not letting Bam see Rachel anymore. The girl rubs me the wrong way. Even Khun is cautious of her. Maybe it is my pessimism talking. But she did seem to care for Bam, to an extent, at least, when he got injured. I think her desire to see the stars far outweighs her compassion for Bam.

Interesting episode. So Rachel told Khun about her and Bams past. But we still don't know why she doesn't want to be with Bam. I personally don't think it's because she doesn't like him. So if Rachel and Bam are together they're weak and a handicap for each other? I wonder why. I guess Khun can understand the whole situation because he made a similar experience. I just don't think that lying is the best way to handle it.

I had a good laugh when Anak gave Shibisu the Black March so that he could try to speak with it. The result was an instant decline haha.

That upcoming test with the different positions sounds cool. I was also hoping that they would explain more to it, but I guess that has to wait when it actually starts.

I really dig the new outfit of Bam. Suits him very well. What in the world was that giant thing he made a contract with? And why was that thing saying it isn't a contract but rather a bind for Bam? Hoh seems like a nice guy but damn was the strained from making that contract. Bam is definitely not weak. I guess with some training he will be stronger as most people in the tower.

I like the fact that Bam, Khun, Shibsu, Hatz, Laure, Hoh and even Endorsi became friends. As expected Endorsi is also a Jahad. To bad that the fight between Endorsi and Anak was so short. At least we now know the reason for Anak seeking revenge against the other Jahad princesses.
