| It was nice, the animation seems correct and the story could be interesting, I guess. I liked the MC, he is not irritating or edgy, I hope he has a decent development throughout the episodes. Although the girl gives me a bad feeling, she looks like the typical yandere - psychopath who falls sickly in love with the protagonist and who can transform the show from something enjoyable to something super unbearable. |

| In some scene, they fail build tension. I want they more straight forward to the point than MC talking about non sense thing that make me lost interest about what happened on screen. |

| Unlike what seems to be the majority, I was genuinely shocked on how much I enjoyed this. I've never been big on yandere characters, so that will be interesting to see if that how blonde girl turns out. I loved how surprisingly creative the show was, though the animation was shaky at times and the art style isn't my favorite. The fact that this blonde chick as already fallen head over heels for this guy is definitely strange. I'm detecting Domestic Girlfriend type of spice levels from that shit. Hopefully not as much of that, or at least not as out of the blue as that was. I'd say the ceiling, for me, is a 8 and the floor is a 6. |

| I thought the episode just wasn't ending. Didn't realise it was over forty minutes. haha This seems like one of those "We have blood, death, girls and that's it" type of anime, but it's too early to judge just yet. The art was ugly and the plot hardly existed, but it wasn't bad enough that I would drop it. As long as it stays watchable enough, I will probably watch it. |

| Entering this from the manga itself, I'd say the adaptation still has a ways to go to emitting the intensity of the original source. It's setting like Ousama Game, or even close to it, Mirai Nikki, but isn't like the former. Lead guy Sudo Kaname looks like the average doesn't-know-anything player who plays around like normal, but Darwin's Game being a survival horror-fest of a game, Kaname is in for a deep trouble, for a game that has no way out of escape. On his way, meeting the blonde-haired yandere girl that is Shuka, is a godsend for Kaname to understand Darwin's Game and his unintended position to rise above the rest with their powers called Sigil. Instead, it's either friend or foe in this death game. Lost but not defeated, Shuka loses to the new Rookie, not without some affection, and then his unexplained powers too. Indeed a VERY FAST paced adaptation for sure, but with 11 episodes (plus double-length Episode 1 equals 12 total), it's gonna take A LOT of explanation into these sequence of events. |

| This seems kinda beta death game design, nothing groundbreaking/ enlightening/ original. You have your typical goody two shoe mc who got awakened some op power because he's edgy/ confident, you got your harem cheek who fell in love in one instance, you got your brutal death scene, you got your fan service, basically every edgy teenagers' wet dream. Definitely give me Mirai Nikki vibe. Animation and art is really good though. I'm not looking forward to how the story progress because I knew it's going to be silly/ shitty/ popcorn worthy, but this is a surprisingly enjoyable serie to watch thanks to animation and artstyle. |

| I have pretty much avoided all death game types of series and they usually end up with a pretty bad reception anyway, but I kinda liked this. I have a few things I could complain about. I mean looks like it's just gonna be an OP MC story where he has some new type of ability that's super strong. Also dude was dodging those chains like something fierce. Especially when he was charging straight at her. The last scene with her being naked also seems unnecessary. But you know it was pretty intense and fun to watch. |
| Ok start, we got the expected exposition on some stuff about how the game should work that we can't really escape. I do like the genre even though the characters didn't particularly catch my attention yet, I'll keep watching. Not a fan of that ending though, ngl... feels out of place. And also, wtf was with the characters faces in so many shots? The position of the nose and mouth felt really odd? On a last note, it honestly has gotten really annoying how people jsut keep throwing the word "edgy" at anything nowadays... the show just started and we KNOW it's a battle royale but it doesn't mean it will automatically be "edgy trash"... give it one or two more episodes at least . sheeesh.... | I think it's gonna be enjoyable if it's action-packed like this. I liked the fact that we're as confused as the mc. Also, is it just me or does he have his luck stat on max? As in, it didn't seem to be plot armour, the other characters look genuinely annoyed. Is that canon? |

| I think they should've been more patient with the world building to build it up more dramatically. From the episode alone, We all can guess that their plan is to do whatever it takes to fit two big phase, which are Banda and Shuka's fight, into one-hour special episode. But still, I'd prefer a bit patient build up. |

His inner dialogue during his awakening , as well as not wanting to kill the cheek despite she's so desperately trying to kill him , as well as charging straight through the cheek and dodge all those chain like some super human as an ordinary student who just participate in death game for first time makes the show super edgy. All those sequence feel like some teenagers daydream about getting super power and become op and fight like pro. Do you know what all those sequence of later half of episode reminds me of? I'm not disagreeing with some of the plot conveniences you mentioned I simply don't think "edgy" is the appropriate word to use describing the episode as some are doing. I can't think of the right word to describe it I just don't think edgy is the right one, considering it's meaning. I didn't watch those other shows so I have no means of comparison. |
