| Kaguya-sama hands down. Consistent big laughs every episode. Comedy is always a little subjective but Kaguya really worked for me. I rarely see a story as complete without romance and that side of it was done incredibly well considering it doesn't really go anywhere - they're kind of back to square one by the end of the first season - yet somehow I was so invested in the ship. Some of the best use of narration and internal monologue I've ever seen. The art really worked for me too. Loved the clean look with the rich colors. Super cute girls with super cute voices never hurts. Honorable mention to Asobi Asobase but it really lacked consistency in how much it made me laugh out loud. Another one with a great, distinctive art style and cute girls. |
