I had a feeling it was one of the three. It'd be really interesting if it were Emma cause the audience wouldn't expect it, but I was suspecting either Norman or Ray because they're both WAY too smart for their own good. I found myself thinking, "aren't they a bit too similar...?" but this solves everything. I think.

I don't know why.. but I find it lacking in shock factor when Norman knows that Ray is the traitor. I first know that Ray is traitor because i read in comment on KA so i already know when I read the manga but still! I feel shock when Norman say it.. but when it animated. I don't feel anything. And i always watch the episode late because it gives feel and I'm preparing for it. (Like the episode 1 so heartbreaking) And i thought I can handle manga well because no music, no nothing (that will add to your feels) you just read. But I feel so much on manga than the anime! I prefer the manga of this. I feel that there's lacking in this anime huhuhu

And they skip scenes and add some (like baby doll of Sister Krone) but the manga is already good so they should really include all the chapters of it.. I feel they rushed it ;( and it's not good to force all chapter 37 in just 12 episodes (they said)!! So many good details that should be included.

Ray wasnt the one who told them, it was Norman. He just said to Ray the location he would tell Don and Gilda the ropes were (i wonder why~).

Norman told that to Ray because Norman suspected him. He purposely gave Ray wrong info abt telling Don that rope was under his bed. He actually would have told Don the rope was someplace else. So the only one who knew that the rope was under norman's bed was ray.

I know, i just didnt say anything because i read the manga and telling what exactly happened would be kinda a spoiler, lmao.

Now that finale was unexpected!

What I really love about this anime is that it gives us a lot to think about after each episode ends. It's not like "okay, another week - another episode passed", but - at least I - like to think more about what I've just seen.

Can't wait to see how's gonna be Ray's response to Norman. :DD

That seems like a bit too much of an amateur move on Ray's part. He specifically knew Norman was using misinformation, and yet he swallowed the bait anyway. That's the exact type of situation where doing nothing is the smart play. By doing anything with just one of the ropes, he had very little to gain but a lot to lose. At best he fractures their unity by a margin, at worst he gets outed. The first thing a double agent would watch out for is exactly that type of situation. It doesn't make sense for someone as smart as he is supposed to be not to realize that.

Interesting, I am excited to see the explanation on how Ray became the traitor. More and more threats are popping up to their plan, if you ask me, I'd go without the others and leave the hindrances behind. But Emma's request is making it harder for them to escape effectively.

Hmm, there's a big possibility for the protagonist becoming antagonist...it's interesting...they make us think that the traitor are between Don or Gilda, but what about the main protagonist, Ray??? Yeah, Mama Krone is really scary, yeah scary, with that looks and how she behave...but I think Mom is scarier than her because she's quiet but when the time comes...you know what happened to Conny...so far so good, they need to keep the pace of the story.

I was expecting more in general. This is the 2nd highest rated anime of the season and it's been pretty average so far. Episodes are basically the same, with poor dialogues and no actual development. The art/animation, although okay from a technical standpoint, is pretty standard and there is nothing really good about anything so far. A weighted score of 8.67, that's very strange. What's the appeal of it? Is it because the manga is actually better and people who read it give this a higher score?

Anyway, not bad, so far 3/5, let's keep going.

I don't really get Ray's motive for passing information to Isabella. It's not like Ray is in a position to negotiate for his life. Passing information doesn't give the demons a motive to not kill him anyway.

Nooooo, my boy Ray's the traitor 😭

This does make total sense for his character though. He'll take the highest chances for his survival.

I wonder if Norman can turn him into a double agent by convincing, threatening, or somehow else. I want the next episode! Waiting weekly for this show is suffering :P

So I think it's safe to assume that Norman never told Gilda and Don about the locations of the rope and only told Ray that he did.
Ray took the rope from Normans bed so that Norman would start to doubt Don then, huh.

Good thing you mentioned it. It supports my stand as an Anime only consumer. That being said:
This is probably why most manga or LN readers are disappointed when the anime doesn't live up to their preconditioned expectations. Rather than enjoy and appreciate the anime as its own adaptation; they'd prefer to bash, nitpick and split hairs.
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.

this whole series might be a masterpiece! and we're just only on the fourth episode!
one thing i'm confused is why did Norman said that the traitor was Ray and who send the paper to Sister Isabella!?!?

I find Krone's temper kinda funny this episode.

Looks like the kids are living their regular lives although Norman, Emma, Ray and others are still making their plans to escape. There may also be trust issues though as drama gets even more tense. Good usage of music and character connections.

While the kids know the stakes, they're not giving up especially Ray.

I really enjoy this episode, I love what Emma said about traitors and not giving up on them!! it may be ray a traitor but like Emma said I not giving up on that dude!!.

Mom is scaring even Krone, exactly the same way she's terrifying our rebels. And by Krone's reaction, as well as her behavior otherwise, including in the previous episode, I'd say she sorely lacks the temperament to be a Mom.

And looks like Ray completely fell for that trap.

Wow inter-cutting 2 scenes: Gilda & supposedly-Don-but-not, rivaling Boogiepop to confuse us. So Gilda tried to tell but stopped before too late. Don turned out to be Ray, the real traitor. Surprise, but well he was the most pessimistic bout Emma's save-all plan.
Overall some interesting tense camera & editing.

There's a big possibility that there's a traitor among them but they won't get anywhere until they start taking risks, starting with the two other oldest kids, Don and Gilda. They took precautions before recruiting them but it just turns out that they were wary of the wrong people because the real traitor's way closer to them than they initially thought.

Krone's mostly just in it for herself so we don't have to worry about her snitching on Gilda and Emma to Mom anytime soon but that doesn't make her any less of a threat.

Tell Suspect A about Bait W.
Tell Suspect B about Bait X.
Tell Ally/Suspect C that you told A about Bait Y and D about Bait Z.

Very clever! Yeah didn't think it was Gilda just going by how the directing was trying too hard to make her the prime suspect. Don seemed to have reacted genuinely during their group discussion, so it was a hard pill to swallow regarding the initial conclusion that it was him when the rope was gone, but of course he too was ultimately innocent. But, I'm not so sure Ray being the traitor is as straightforward as it seems... How are we certain that he isn't just attempting to gain Mom's trust or pretending to be a triple agent? Either way, quite the cliffhanger.
