Well it wont! itll be rushed, although volume 1 they adapted magnificently, im really hoping they wont ruin it and keep this quality, every volume(arc) is 360+ pages with volume 5 being the longest in the entire series with 400+ pages.

Hmmm that’s pretty concerning. I wonder if they’ll do an arc in OVA form or will they skip one. I mean if we suppose they’re gonna adapt all volumes (1 through 5), you’d think the pace would be even faster than this, but that might just be m.

Everything will be done in these 13 episodes, since the movie sequel will adapt volume 6 and 7(the best Arc in the series, time for us all to bawl our eyes out yay)

Seems like Mai needs very little explaining. I really love how these two can just discuss everything fair and square, and understand eachother perfectly. It's such a relief compared to so many other anime.

Oh, yes... I'll never forget it...

Yup, everyone is just referring to groundhog. Meanwhile, while I was wondering how the first arc was completed so quickly, I like you guys am wondering whether we've just found out how the rest of the season will be filled (>.<)

That said, I thought the Endless Eight were @#$%^&* brilliant personally. If you actually pay attention to how they were animated, and how they must have been made overall, you'll realise KyoAni could easily have created another seven normal episodes on an equal or even smaller budget. The fact that they made the Endless Eight instead, probably knowing fully well how it would backfire from a audience-appreciative perspective, tells you just how committed they really were. The fact that the resolution of the Endless Eight was on itself completely underwhelming, only adds to that. Most people didn't even get how they served to strengthen the later movie.

Nothing too exciting happened this episode compared to the first 3. I have this feeling he might 'fall in love' with the other girl and then Mai will misunderstand and all the shiz will go downhill from there

I feel like people are giving this whole misunderstanding way too much weight when the two character involved are far from giving it the light of the day.

Mai already knew that there was more up to it that meets the eye and waited for an explanation.
Sakuta already knew that Mai will tease the hell out of him once she hears the story to the point where he jokes about it.

So in a sense this misunderstanding only supports the notion that their bond is already way stronger as if something like that would even dent it.

Of course there had to be a misunderstanding... Why does this always happen? This episode lost points for that. Even when they have a valid excuse for it.

I'm just glad Mai showed up at his house at the end to hear his explanation.

So, Sakuta is pretending to date Tomoe? Hopefully, it all goes well and will allow Sakuta's relationship with Mai to get stronger.

Though I feel like Tomoe is really selfish... She's aware Sakuta's dating Mai but she still wants to go through this fake date? And why didn't Sakuta brought her up during the conversation? Oh well, let's just see how it goes from here...

A time loop caused by Laplace's Demon...

4/5 for this episode.

I agree, I watched it all and I think it was a smart decision by KyoAni to do it like that. It is the kind of thing that will certainly never be made again. And this just adds even more to the show as a whole.

My heart and Brain can't handle everything thats going on in this anime! Like at one point I was like "Fuck you Tomoe" but then Sakuta thought about his sister and I was like "JESUS! I FEEL BAD NOW!" and thats a plus to the writers.

Damn man they picked me up with that confession...and then power-bombed me through a table when mai saw Tomoe laying on Sakuta...i was like "NO DAMMIT NO!!!!"

I hope Mai understands...side note, she looked beautiful at the end <3

I think...everything might reset to June 27th..

Tomoe waifu as heck
Mai is a bit more of an interesting character tho. The only real development Tomoe got was near the end of the episode. It was pretty interesting though.

I am going to hold out until next week, because Mai going to Sakuta's house gives me hope that she believes him. This anime was shaping up to easily be one of my favorites, after only 3 episodes. However, the Romantic Misunderstanding trope is my most hated trope ever, and I REALLY hope that it does not bring any forced tension into the relationship between Mai and Sakuta, as a result. That aside, the rest of the episode was amazing. Once again, every moment between Sakuta and Mai makes some of the most adorable interactions. Their relationship feels real and fun, and always brings a smile to my face.

Good episode.

I love Sakuta and Mai's banter as always, it's very refreshing to watch and sweet in it's own way. :)

I kinda like Tomoe as well, I just hope that the show doesn't devolve into some high school harem. I know people have been posting for quite a while that this show doesn't fall into that rabbit hole so I'll take their word for it.

I guess Sakuta is too nice of a person to leave someone in trouble alone, I guess that's a pretty classic MC trait. xD

I liked how Mai walked over to his house and asked Sakuta why he didn't bother giving her an explanation, I wanted to see more of that. Too bad the episode ended. :(
Looking forward to next week.

So we've got a time loop as this episode's main focus. Apparently, the time loop is caused by the misunderstandings caused by Tomoe and Sakuta has to fix them at the same time he tries to save his relationship with Mai. The episode was definitely enjoyable but the stakes doesn't feel as high as the previous episode, also, I really hope Tomoe doesn't damage Sakuta and Mai's relationship.

This was a big relief to read and I won't need to worry, thank you for that. I'm especially glad that it won't be one of those misunderstandings that make things complicated and instead it seems Sakuta will simply be explaining things to Mai next episode. I still don't like the idea of him pretending to have a relationship with Tomoe though, just because I like Mai and Sakuta's chemistry so much and lying to the whole school about having something going on with Tomoe just feels wrong. I guess we'll just have to see how that plays out.

I gotta say, I have some problems with this one, Things were just starting to get good, and now all of a sudden Mai´s not even in the ED anymore, really? What the hell? I was really invested in those two, my ships aside, I´m just afraid they´re gonna keep jumping from girl to girl and basically turn this into a harem. The ED just felt wrong without Mai in it. The best thing about this anime aside from the characters was the pacing, It was fast, it didn´t screw around, but still kept things natural and didn´t rush anything. I had no Idea they were just doing this to cram a bunch of girls in Monogatari style, And to be honest I don´t feel like Tomoe can carry an arc by herself. Well, I guess it could be worse, I mean at least he´s not brushing his sister´s teeth in a weirdly sexualized way.

While Tomoe's feelings of insecurity at school might be relatable, she's still quite the selfish girl. Tomoe has no consideration whatsoever of Sakuta's own love life. When you ask for such favors, usually it should be mutually beneficial and not harmful. While Mai isn't your typical female MC and definitely won't leave the misunderstanding alone, as we saw at the end of the episode, that doesn't make Tomoe's lack of consideration any better. Also, if you're afraid that you rejecting some guy who your friend was gunning for and end up getting shunned, then are they seriously your friends? Back in middle school and high school, my group of friends usually had one or two people liking the same guy, and it's never hindered any our relationships. Perhaps it's because none of us would ever really go for it. Still, Tomoe's insecurities should make her realize that if their friendship falls apart due to some guy asking her out, then it was a fragile relationship and she could get better friends.

Anyways, I'm more interested in Futaba. It does suck that she likes someone who has a girlfriend, but I'm looking forward to her arc.

I am really impressed how Futaba expressed this new problem from Tomoe with Laplace Demon, i got shocked after seeing the time repeating, "time leap" put me scary because Steins Gate!

Poor Sakuta, got dragged into Tomoe, and couldn't celebrate the day where Mai acepted his request to become his girlfriend officlially!

Volume 6 and 7 are about Sakurajima Mai and Sakuta, yes? Considering it’s the best arc? If that’s the case, i will patiently watch these episodes and wait for the movie to come. The wait is killing me. I’m sure we’re gonna see some character development here. Not that. But i’m guessing Sakkuta will also get attached to these girls and will choose Mai in the end? Thank god because I was getting scared there (Until I saw the very end when Mai came at his door)

I really like Tomoe (Especially how raw the way she speaks) so I'd hate to start to dislike her thinking that she was getting in the way of the best ship of the year

Other than that, this was a fun episode (Mainly the parts with Mai and Futaba - Speaking of her, I had a feeling that she liked the other dude lol) but I didn't like how Tomoe kinda forced this situation onto Sakuta, that wasn't cool imo
