season 2 was nice but im glad season 3 is already happening because the stuff thats gonna be in season 3 is some of the best of the series imo so seeing it animated is something to look forward to not to mention the stuff that will be in season 3 feels like the real start of the series

with every arc things get better and better even with the stuff currently happening in the manga now that will be season 4 oh i cant wait

Well I disagree.
If I watched a western superhero movie and they didn't have a big action climax but instead spent the end setting up the next sequel I would be pissed off.
And I'm sure most other people would be too.

And that's why I'm pissed off with this finale.

The "big action climax" was All Might vs Deku and Bakugo. That's the fight we've been anticipating in the practical exam arc (idk what the arc is actually called). Therefore having an episode to set up the next season is fine because the final fight is over.

You have to keep in mind that manga and movies have a different story structure. Manga have arcs, each arc having an epic finale battle, each arc leading up to the final arc with the most badass final fight there will be ever in the story- a fight to resolve everything and defeat the bad guy. My Hero Academia is simply not at that point in the story yet.

I do agree with you the episode was actually pretty boring. I didn't really feel the menace of Shigaraki. What they could've done was to extend the fight of All Might VS Deku and Bakugo to halfway through this episode. Then they can set up for the next season using the remaining time.
“Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one, and only, truth. But the world isn't perfect, and the law is incomplete..." -Alphonse Elric

"Then and now, what I protect has never changed!" -Sakata Gintoki

I'll take anything like The Pet Girl of Sakurasou. Anything as good as that.

Deku & Bakugo vs All Might was training. You can't call that a climax.

And I understand that it is a series adapted from a manga (same as most anime) and not the same thing as a movie.
But they should at least try to break the series up so it concludes after a key point in the manga.

edit: Compare the finale episode of Boku no Hero to a cold open (the bit before the intro theme) from western superhero show Teen Titans.

Teen Titans does more in the first 2 minutes of a random episode than Boku no Hero does in their full season finale episode.

This season was a 10/10. Really glad I started watching it. The soundtrack is really amazing as well. Time to go purchase all the released manga!

Kind of pissed people is giving it 1/10 just to fuck with people who like it. You really watched 38 episodes just to show everyone what a cunt you are? Disagree all you want but come on, if it was 1/10 you wouldn't have watched more than 1 episode before ripping your eyes out.

Very good finale. It's pretty much a set up for season three. More people are joining the League of Villains. Deku got into a dangerous encounter with Shigaraki. It was terrifying when he was grabbing Deku around his throat along with his creepy smile. They had an interesting conversation. I'm glad Deku is okay. That was intense. All For One is planning big things for Shigaraki. This was a very good season. It was awesome. Bones did a spectacular job. Everything from the characters, art, animation and OST has been excellent. They put in a lot of effort. I can't wait for season three. 9/10

Most important issue in the series:

Why did Midoriya's mom have to get so fat? She was smoking when he was a little kid, and that was only like 7-8 years ago. She can't be more than her late 30's, maybe 40. Way to let yourself go, woman. What a waste.

Remember that they're adapting a manga here. They can't just switch out an important scene for an action scene. The main reason anime exist is to promote the source material. So switching out important scenes defeats the purpose. It has been done before, but usually the anime that did so ended up getting a lot of hate for doing that.

Plus, this is not a movie. Movies and TV series are handled differently.

If you don't like the anime, just don't watch it. It's as simple as that.

Decent finale. Gave us more insight on Shigaraki Tomura, and some character progression for him. I really love how batshit insane he is. He just wants to destroy society because he doesn't like it, and I love it.

Also, it seems like Mr. All For One wants to transplant his brain into Shigaraki? I haven't read the manga so I have no clue but it's weird. Like, what's the point of raising him to be the face of the League of Villains if the end goal is just Mr. All For One in Shigaraki's body? Wouldn't it make sense to train his body instead? IDFK.

Anyway, Boku no Hero Academia Season 2 = pretty fuckin neat. 9/10.

Last episode was done well although i wanted to see was 1-A bonding, we got an insight into Shigaraki's character and how twisted he is. We also got more time with the crazy chick (why is everyone crazy about her?) and Dabi both seem like wonderful additions to the cast. Cant wait to see whats beyond.

Lol loved how Shigaraki approaches Midoriya all like "Hey dude we're besties 5ever"
I wonder what happened in his past...
And poor Midoriya mom, she'll end up having a heart attack, that's why all our shounen protags are orphans.
Some people find the finale to be weak, but I thought it was great.

Holy shit, Shigaraki is uglier of what I thought, he need to put that hand on his face right now. Dabi was right last episode.
Anyway, the confrontation between him and Deku was pretty cool, it was obvious Deku wasn't going to die, but the tension was high, and Shigaraki's rape faces didn't helped it.

Good thing we are going to have a season 3, otherwise, the waiting would have been worse.

This was a really good finale, but I can understand why some people are a little disappointed. Fear not, however, as this next arc is going to blow your socks off.

The quality improved tremendously from S1 to S2 and I hope it improves a lot more in S3.

The Tournament Arc and Stain Arc were done beautifully and I really hope Bones show up for the Training Camp Arc.

Animation overall this season was freaking amazing. The music and soundtrack were brilliant and the adaptation was insane.

Well as endings go this one was all right. It felt conclusive enough for a seasonal ending that needed to set up the next season and I'm excited for that next season.

When Shigaraki showed up at the mall and said he wanted to have a conversation I had this weird mental image pop up of him and Midoriya buying shoes together and laughing while at the food court. It got a laugh out of me but I quickly became terrified as he just sat down with Deku in pre strangle position with in view of the public.

I don't know much about how Japanese friends hang out but I question why someone wouldn't be suspicious about a small boy sitting with a sketchy looking dude who was gripping his neck.

Either way it was enjoyable and we learned more about are villains. That's a good episode in my book.
Can't wait for season 3.

A season finale where some creepy pedo puts his arm around a teenage boy and then dumps exposition on him for 15 minutes and that's what the anime community considers good.

Was expected to be blue balled from previous episode and even moreso the way Season 1 ended so my expectations as season finale was low. Decent setup regardless and can go right into the main meat in Season 3.

They're adapting a manga, idiot. They can't just swap out important dialogue for a random fight scene that wasn't there to begin with. And there's always this period of setting up the next arc after one concludes in shows like this. I know you wanted mindless action 24/7 without any tedious "talking" but that would make for a show that's all flash and no substance.

Also, you have no idea what exposition really means do you? Exposition is the scene in the middle of Kill la Kill where stripper man spends the entire episode explaining the concept of Life Fibers. This is a conversation between the main villain and hero about conviction and motivations. It's not explaining a concept that needed to be information dumped, it's fleshing out a character that needed more detail through natural conversation.

No idea why I'm even humoring this low-quality bait to begin with. This was barely even worth my time.

I swear people have lost all sense and reason when it comes to Boku no Hero.

Almost any other superhero show I can think of is better than Boku no Hero in pretty much every way.
Boku no Hero just happened to get popular early on and now it has a massive fanbase of devoted followers who will defend the show no matter what it does.
But I won't.
