You talk about generalizing when you just sent a message saying that you cant understand why a person would vote in EDM instead of Jazz. Ignoring their basic features. EDM is a genre that shall and will produce a more diversed dish. I'll give you that, in any case, I should have said "How can people pick EDM over Jazz in those particular matchups?". Just because I like both genres and, as I said, there is good and bad stuff in both. However, your argument is going against yourself since Jazz has a bigger repertoire of notes than EDM, and also there is a larger amount of Jazz artists who are qualified classics, EDM exists since early 70s, so the argument of the genre being new would be dumb. I for one, I am not usually fond of the EDM that's generally used for the contest, not just because of tastes, but the music itself. Even if I weren't really fond of a song in regards to tastes, I can tell whether it is a good one or a bad one. Gordon Ramsay should go back to the kitchen. |
