meh if i didn't already love Ririna (probably my top 5 new girls this season), and if i didnt enjoy the kiss scene with misaki, i would probably drop this right now

i mean, i couldn't care less about him being gay but that kiss happening like that didnt make any sense...and they are both boring anyway...
oh well, let's forget about that last minute and keep watching lmao

That plot twist though. Poor Nisaka!

So they've mentioned divorces a couple times, does that mean they can simply divorce one another and choose someone else? Makes the forced marriages not seem nearly as bad. I'd like to hear more about that at some point.

Wow Riri's request was a strange one. Its funny seeing the troubles that the main cast are having though. Hmm to think that Yusuke once got mistaken because a guys assigned wife wound't stop talking about him after seeing him. Jealousy is a ugly one sometimes. To think that instead of calling a teacher Yukari called the police instead lol. Ririna is cute when she's embarrassed lol. Wow to think that the meeting was for the three of them rather than for the two of them. Ririna really is completely innocent about love eh. Ririna is really trying to help the two eh. Its nice to see that Ririna and Misaki get along so well. Yukari looks like the odd one out though. So Ririna is using the two of them to see what its like to be in love eh. What was most surprising was the fact that Misaki was willing to follow the instruction though. Ririna's watching the events like its a tv show lol.

Its interesting in that both girls get something from this arrangement. Riri gets experience at friendship while Misaki gets to be with Yukari. And Yukari is stuck in the middle. Hmm so Misaki actually wants Riri to fall for Yukari eh thats surprising. Riri's reaction to Yuusuke's comments though was quite funny. So it seems that Misaki is serious in trying to get Riri fall for Yukari. The two of them really are sweet together though. Though it does feel like Yukari is cheating on Riri with Misaki i guess. Hmm so that was the secret eh. But the final phrase about lies and love are pretty true.

Linina had to almost force him to kiss Misaki so i wouldn't exactly say he should receive credit for that, but regardless the way he constantly acts all shy and bothersome right afterwards is what is annoying. If it was his first kiss sure it migh be cute to see him act like that, however he constatly acts like this no matter the situation.

How is a self-insert type mc that does almost nothing throughout the course of the series yet somehow everyone falls in love with him any better?

Okay You have to understand his situation before Getting into his character...Yes He didn't propose Takasaki for 5 years, But when he fall in love he was like 10-11 year old. It wasnt "Love" as a real "Love", I cant find the word, lets say he admired her or simply just liked her.

Now take the setting of his world in to count, Nejima is a guy who knows Love is forbidden in his world..Yet he doesn't want to marry someone else without even telling his feelings to takasaki. That takes courage, He practically broke law at age of 16..Its a huge deal.

About the kissing (BTW he did kissed her infront of Lilina in the manga)...well did you even read the situation at all?? I mean How can you kiss someone infront of Your arrange partner or anyone for that matter. ..Its also awkward at the same time and Nejima just kissed her only 1 time before. Look at the school scene, was there any distraction?? NO RIGHT? He and takasaki kissed 3 time!!

And lastly "Self Insert" Not at all. His relation with misaki Is indicating "LIE"...There's more to it then half piece of Eraser, its also the reason I am still reading the manga. His relation With Nisaka is also complicated. I would say both of the relation is Not "Normal"..We will get more into it. You will most Enjoy the development between Lilina and Nejima cuz We get to see how they fall in love with eachother. I say their love is the "TRUE" Love.

Koi to uso tells different kind of love (Check the last scene of episode 3), Right now they are introducing Characters and their different types of feelings toward MC..Story will further explore and surprise you with the twists. As a manga reader who also watched quite ammount of Harem, Romcom..Koi to uso certainly has more than similarity, It has its own unique taste...And cliches too, you can't help it its anime after all cliches are everywhere lol :D

I understand his situation, what i don't understand is his lack of initiative. He was 10 at the time so that is to be expected, but he still acts the same way now so there is no excuse for his behavior. If you are in love or even admire someone you would at least try to still retain at least some dialogue with said person, not shut yourself completely. If this law never existed he would probably would never had confessed to Misaki.

I said "self-insert" because that is what it is, the author painted the mc as this bland introvert type of character that lacks any social skill (aka someone the majority of watcher/readers may relate with), that still somehow other characters end up falling in love with over the most trivial reasons.

I have no great hopes for this series getting any better but i will stick around and see, still the mc is a complete wimp in my eyes.

I see your standard is very high. I will still defend him. His shyness is also a plus point for him. I mean this kind of people are everywhere around us. In Japan this number is probably higher. There's nothing wrong being shy and introvert, Most anime fans are like that too lol.

I told you he did kiss her in the manga and even if he doesnt like Lilina, He is not an insensitive guy, He knows its awkward for misaki too and He obviously has integrity to not do this stuff infront of his arranged partner.

I think MC protrays traditional, Asian architecture than the Western..Its pretty normal, I am a asian so I might not get your definition of "Best guy" but in my book Nejima is not a wimp. His VA might giving this wimp vibe to you, but IMO he is not a wimp

We are discussing the anime not the manga, so i very much appreciated that you restrain from drawing comparisons. I am judging the anime and the anime alone.
If he thought it was indeed awkward he should have denied Lilina request all together, not accepting it only to act all bothersome afterwards.

First of yes its cliche/trope, Then again its Anime..Anime and cliche goes hand to hand. Your favorite animes also has cliche.
In this case I like Nejimas character because He takes action when situation calls for it and he is average that's why I can relate to him. Those Harem MCs who sees dozens of panties aren't Real cuz In reality that shit never happens and they act way too unnatural when Situation asks to use common sense. Nejimas Every behaviour is so far most normal to me and that's what I want. No need for over the Top MC with funny humor but total puss when time calls.

And The manga comparison..Well I wouldn't it if you knew how MC Is. You are giving your thought on just 3 episode where I know him for 136 chapter that's why I am saying give him a chance, you don't have to like him but you won't hate him either that's all. Well Even if you don't like him, I don't care..Enjoy :D
