I'm so happy they stay faithful to the manga, so we can finally see Jean, Erwin, and LEVI! FUUUU!    I'm just so happy to see these three again, especially Jean who's been MIA for 7 episodes. Ugh. The next episode will be action-packed most likely. P.S. 4 episodes left, folks.  |

Hahaha! well...i usually don't mind slow episodes if it just give me something good to watch .. this episode is basically a flashback , and with a 12 only episodes this was a total waste of an episode imo. Actually, the flashback was an addition and it wasn't in the manga, but I think it's necessary and no that episode was not a waste. | A nice chill episode. Loved the flash backs and nice to see Mikasa showing more emotions besides anger. That last scene has me hyped. |

Episode 5's flashback was cool, but Episode 7's was shitty. |

| By the looks of people's reaction to this episode, most people will not like the next arc at all. Next arc is all politics and buildup (which was good), so yeah. As for me, I think the episode's alright. Not much really happened and the backstory was too long, but the buildup was good enough. Some of the buildup was necessary to make a certain scene later on seem more impactful. However, Mikasa and Armin eating was pretty cringeworthy. 4/5 |

| Other than the last couple of minutes, this does not seem to have gone anywhere in terms of advancing the plot. Sure, we got lotd of nice character moments with Armin, Hannes and Mikasa, as well as seeing Jean again for the first time in a while. Still, the flashbacks felt completely like filler, but my gut feeling is that next week will be a solid episode seeing as it looks like the plot will get moving again. |
| I love this anime, even the slow paced episodes are great. Mikasa, Armin relax, the food is not a titan. *People complaining about this episode, the usual. |

| The flashbacks are being nicely used. In an arc as fast paced as this one, we need flashbacks to increase the quality. Apart from the one today (even though i enjoyed it even as a manga reader) and the one in the first episode, there is no flashback that is useless or irrelevant to the story. |

| it was a fun episode i really enjoyed it specially the flashback scene it was hilarious, never thought i would laugh this much in an snk episode lol the scene when Hannes tries to cheer Mikasa and Armin up was so sweet and the ost used was perfect also all of Erwin's scenes was awesome i miss him so much and Jean too <3 |

| Good buildup chapter. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but this flashback didn't really happen at any point in the manga, right? I just had a look at Chapter 45 (the one this episode ended at) and nothing in it was related to it, but I can't remember if it ever happens in future chapters, been a year since I've read this part and the next arc is probably my least favorite. |
