I Am a Hero 8/10
The zombie genre has definitively moved towards the eastern half of the globe.

I Am a Hero is a superbly balanced zombie film that simulates iconic genre examples and blends it into a wonderful film with a clear sense of identity.

You'd think there is not much left to explore in this particular niche of the horror genre and you'd be right. But once again, like recently Train to Busan, a, for me at least, culturally different approach and style imbue it with a new vigor that is more than welcome.

Nasty, funny, disgusting, touching and disconcerting, I Am a Hero's 2 hour running time whizz by, sporting the perfect anti-hero and a perfect balance of genre elements.

I'm rewatching Rogue One. Still boring, pointless, sometimes embarrassing.

If what's-his-name, the uninteresting one with the Spanish accent who is always with Jyn Erso, has a Spanish accent, what language does he speak? Are there Spanish-speaking people in Star Wars? I don't approve.

I never thought Star Destroyers had hover capabilities. I assumed they were like sea destroyers and that going into a planet's atmosphere was like a ship stranding itself on land. I don't approve.

Silence of the lambs 6/10 a totay ok thriller, Hopkins is captivating but honestly not that great a movie. Not sure why it was nominated for academy awards that year.

Valid point, his Spanish accent makes no sense, also why do some of the rebels now have English accents used to be only the imperial officers did.

There were a few Rebels with English accents, but it wasn't that common. Mon Mothma and Admiral Ackbar from Return of the Jedi.

Really good revenge film about a young girl avenging the rape/death of her mother. I love the cinematography and the acting is serviceable for the most part. A lot of good actions scenes. Not the biggest fan of the ending, but good thing there's a sequel!

Dolemite

It was entertaining as a blacksplotation film. However, I didn't think it was entertaining as I've heard some people make it out to be. It is bottom of the barrel in several respects as well so you have to take that into account when watching it. I'd say its worth a watch though if you're a fan of something like Black Dynamite.

A movie that begins with a tokyo college girl having sex with a wolfman (while in wolf form) and then raising their two wolf kids after his untimely death soon relocates to the mountains and becomes a rather touching portrait of single parenthood. but Mamoru Hosada continues to churn out reasonably strong 2nd-tier anime features.

Aragami

Based on duel project, a challenge for two directors to make a feature each self, with the story based on simple premise and frame, two main character, fight and delve each other, in one setting, and the film must be shot within one week schedule.

For aragami, the story pretty much cliche but it still has the fun, the two mc also embodied the characters well, and ofc with ryuhei kitamura's trademark for cool fight~swordwight sequence.

Idk much about his complete filmography but in comparison, the recent I'd seen from him, more big budget lupin III live action, he should've keep himself make low budget indie flick, just like versus.

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

Well this movie didn't need to exist.

The good - The interior sets look amazing, the costumes are great, the acting/voice acting is mostly decent. Kevin Kline (Belle's grandad) and Josh Gad (LeFou) are better in their roles than the original animated version.

The bad - No reason for this movie to exist, it adds nothing, CGI is over animated as if they had too much budget and had to blow it on something. Emma Watson is not a good enough singer for this role and as a consequence she had to be auto tuned all of the time.

Conclusion - Once again, this movie did not need to exist, it excels in a few areas but fails hard in many more.
