Hey guys, I'd love to know what song found its self on your playlist today. What did you like and/or dislike about the song? What is your preferred type of music, and what bands are a good example of that? Here, I'll go first. Alone in the Dark by Testament. Man, this song is a classic and I find myself reciting the chorus in my head a lot. Earworms, huh? I love a lot of things about this song, from the grinding 80's tone of the guitars and bass to the power that the drums and vocals bring when its all molded together. I'm a big fan of a lot of music, but I'm pretty partial to metal. Death, Taake, Coroner, Dethklok, Megadeth... these are pretty good example of the style of metal I'm really into. ![]() ¿ |
the fact you mentioned Testament gets a thumbs up from me... last song I listened to today was Shot in the Dark by Ozzy Osbourne, a downright catchy classic, but before that, was Serious Hits... Live! album [2019 Remaster] by Phil Collins, blasting "In the Air Tonight" as I was driving back from town was so damn good, when those drums started makes you wanna air drum, every time you hear the song ![]() |
I see metalhead are around here. I salute you all gentlemen! This is the last thing I listened. It pumps me everytime. Fight to survive baybe! ![]() |
Last song I added to my general playlist today was Black Sheep by Gin Wigmore. I added to my metal playlist Dyson Sphere by Allegaeon. Added Wolf by First Aid Kit to my indie/other playlist. Added Hearthome City by Insaneintherain to my classical/game playlist. I try to listen to everything. Every genre has something different to offer that fits into different daily vibes, but I predominantly listen to metal and rap. Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, NF, Bliss N Eso, Hilltop Hoods, Logic, Rings of Saturn, High on Fire, Veil of Maya, Whispered, Melechesh, Spectral Lore. ![]() |
I am going in the old days and listen an old song but I assured it is still most favorite song of every listener, "Smack That" ![]() |
Yesterday morning, before my connection suffered tremendously throughout what should've been a great Friday, I was reading this article about the roles of jazz and classical musicians in their respective music, and by the end of it, I took note of this instrument called fortepiano. This was the instrument that the classical pianists would've played in the 1700's until modern acoustic pianos made them not-so hip anymore. Many famous composers were around this time to flex their fast fingers on the keys, which is quite a skill they would've likely used in bed as well. Having known its brief history, I got curious what their compositions sounded like as they heard it, so I took off to YouTube as always and searched it up; clicked the second top video, since it's Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"; I listened to it, and boy, it's got some air of melancholy and mystery from the sound of that instrument, and made me appreciate it a bit more. I'm more into jazz at this point in my life, so this is just one of those days where I go explore other music... ![]() |

I also found in my playlist old songs today I haven't listened to for years. Some of those are Nightwish songs and I adored and still adore that band very much. Especially these two aren't so well-known and I also haven't listened to them for a while, while others more regularly on my playlist. Wonderful sound and she / they got an amazing voice. ❤ ![]() Modified by _Maneki-Neko_, Oct 2, 2020 3:57 PM |

Never been to a rave, nor do I live in a time period where this would be played in one often. But MAN this really takes me into another reality ![]() |
The last song I listened to was Black Hole Sun - Soundgarden. I just simply love Chris Cornell's voice. As the song says, no one sings like him anymore. And well, I'm a metalhead and also a bassist. ![]() |

There’s this lo-fi hip-hop song that’s been stuck in my head. Breath by Nohone and Retro Jungle. I usually listen to electronic and dubstep, but this song carries so much emotion and melancholy. Before long you find yourself reflecting on the road behind you. I cried ngl. https://youtu.be/LZpYe_Roo9Y ![]() |
could you change the title to "what was the last album or song you listened to?" instead? I just feel queer to talk about a single song. .. ![]() |
