really depends how much i enjoy it. i finished eva or tmohs in like 2 days (plus their subsequent movies). however, shows like klk or tiger & dragon took me a lot longer because i did not have fun with them

That is insane.

I'm currently watching Uchuu Kyoudai, and it took me 2 months to get to 27 of 99 episodes.

You think that is insane?? Try watching 50 episodes in 10 hours.

4 days, usually.
If I am really enjoying it, I can probably finish it faster.

Usually between 3 days and a week. Maybe longer if I'm really enjoying it (yes, I know, I'm weird like that).

Why would you increase the speed, though?

because people think their shit taste will never change so they keep watching their shows but at a higher speed. Maybe its better than those still in denial, watching their crappy stuff at normal speed and screaming 'subjectivity!'

OT: On average its around idk.

I remember I watched 24 episodes or so of Monster in just a day. I usually watch 12-episode anime and it varies between 4 hours to 4 days depending on whether it's good or not.

Depends on what show it is and how much i enjoyed it. There has been only twice i have watched 26 episodes in one sitting. The first being 26 episodes of the chimera ant arc (if im not mistaken it was the last 26 episodes in that arc). The last time i did it was a couple weeks ago when i watched Monogatari: The second season, which was absolutely fantastic. Both of those took around 10 hours. If not it can depend on how busy i am with school and stuff so it can be a couple days to a couple of weeks.

I think it depends..if I have nothing else to do (ex. work)
I just finished re-watching Chihayafuru s1 which contains 25 episodes - and I finished all of it in just one day.

Depends on whether or not I"m focusing on more than one anime. I rarely focus on one series, unless it's a longer anime. So for me, it varies from a couple of days to over a month. For instance, I started Cowboy Bebop a week ago, but stopped watching it to focus on the much longer Dragon Ball Z. Cowboy Bebop is taking me longer than a week to finish and it's a 26 episode anime.

huh, guess I'm pretty damn slow compared to most others. Close to a month for me, a little less so as I'll watch the last 2 eps back-to-back. An episode a day, basically. Just not into binge-watching and I like to take a bit of time to "digest" each episode.

That sort of thing is just beyond my comprehension lol. If I have to even contemplate speeding something up I'd sooner just drop it. Why waste the time.

6.5 hours wow! I'm so jealous, i wish i could do that, though i'm sure i'd probably miss lots of details in the series i'm watching if i did so. Maybe if i watched dubbed stuff, but those make me feel so unconfortable i don't even want to try. i might try that out though, so i can get through boring episodes way faster (you know, i'm the kind of person that feels bothered when i can't understand something properly, so even if it's boring i still want to understand).

On topic: I went through SnK's 25 episodes in 3 days while i was finishing the last seasonal animes. Yeah, i wanted to catch up before 2nd season or else it could've taken a little longer.

i do not nor do i ever plan on speeding anime up.
i watch on average maybe 10 episodes a day.
i have watched well over 26 episodes in a day but it's not because i want to.
i have insomnia.
if anything i'd just read manga instead.
i can read an entire season in the time it would take me to watch a full episode.

why speed it up ??? and if you've been watching anime with the speed increased, why aren't you reading manga instead?

Depends, if I'm really bored or find the series good, I probably would've aced it in 4 or 5 days. Other than that, it usually takes a week or two for me to finish depending on my mood.

It would take me just below 9 hours to complete when I marathon - not many micro breaks in between. I like to watch it how it is, in a quiet dark room in the corner of bedroom, on my bed with my back against the wall (pillow in between), wearing headphones at full volume / brightness. Wifi can be a pain in the ass sometimes so I can occasionally have to wait.

I knew the second you mentioned you speed up anime there were going to be a lot of comments about it. Also speeding up anime is a no no.

Anyway, back when I first started anime I could finish a 26 episode anime in 1 day with ease. Now I take my time on the majority of things I watch, because after I finish an episode I'm likely to go and do something else before resuming.

If it's interesting enough i can do it in one day if i don't get distracted with something mid day. Latest example was Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor, I tried it one day, Tried 2 episodes then watched the other 24 in one bunch. But i can do it slowly too, If i am not too hooked, I usually break it.

If i binge watch all of them, let's see.. usually i manage to watch 3 episode in 1 hour by skipping the op/ed, so i guess i need something like 8 hours+ to finish it.. However, if i don't need to binge watch the series, i guess 1 week sounds pretty good for me..

I took a look at my history for the ones I watched after joining MAL and discovered that it may take me around 5 days if I'm concentrating on watching that show (watching seasonals at the same time slows me down a little on the completed ones). This may include days when I don't watch any episodes at all. I'm faster when it's a break as well unless there's a whole ton of homework like right now (which reminds me, I need to get back to work now lol).

1) sitting for 10 hours straight watching a show sounds like death
2) how fast do you expect me to read subtitles?

Didn't say you had to watch it lol. If you watch subs with high speed for years you get used to it. I don't read word by word but instead I put the whole sentence in my field of vision and understand it. After years my eyes understood those 0.3 second subs by just barely looking at the phrase.

Depends if I need to work in that time or if I have holidays.
Back then when I was a NEET it took me about 2 Days to finish a 26er Anime. But today it took me around almost 2 weeks. Or 2 Days when I got holidays and nothing importend to do. I was so happy when I finaly finished Lady Juwelpets (stand 25/52) within 2 Days!!! But I really was doing nothing eals then sleep, eat and watch xD

But I don't get the point why you speed up Animes? I tought I watch it to enjoy the show and filling up my free time with it. Speeding it up sounds like it became some kind of work with shedules I need to finish it as quick a possilbe otherwise I faild the task :/

1 day, normal speed if the series is good enough, if not then it depends on many factors like 'do i want to finish it before doing anything else?' or 'do i want to finish some other anime before i continue?'

if i want to finish stuff before it like playing games and such, it can take 2-4 weeks
if i want to finish other anime before i continue, it can take 2-4 days

i never speed up anime cuz i find* the idea kinda weird and it can ruin the show for me.

Edit: fixed a typo, sorry woke up recently.
