I loved the pacing of this episode. I liked the way the story built up, the tension was rising in the last 5 minutes of the episode. It was unpredictable and the "scene" above the Ch 33's roof deck was simply brilliantly made. The animators gave the effect that you were really witnessing a live news feed taken above from a moving helicopter.

Yup, you are gonna love the second season. More to come. This series is worthy of much praises and accolades, comparable to top-notch detective or crime fighting stories with an epic story to boot.

Holy Crap! I missed this tension in my GitS, and this episode delivered! So all those samurai and ninjas went mass suicidal on the roof? That was crazy, so many interesting characters all at once going headless. Need to watch the next episodes as soon as I can.

Hm, who was Kawashima?

And what episode prior to this did they mention anything about a virus? How do they know about it? I almost felt like I skipped an episode :/

E - I think he was the GSDA guy in the FAKE FOOD episode who died. Still doesn't explain how they know about the virus.

The end of this episode was intense. Everyone was killed but the white haired dude has escaped. They combined all the essay's and the virus activated. I hope that Borma is ok. Can't wait to see the next episode.

WOAH! The suspense and tension let off during the last minute of the show! I would want to learn of their true motives behind killing themselves off.

Holy hell, what the fuck happened? That collective suicide was shocking, I guess it's what they were aiming for. I don't know where this is going, but I guess it will have a big impact.

So there is a virus that is activated by the text of Eleven Individual? The cyborg white guy seemed to really need their ''bible''.

5/5

I have not quite understood the significance of this episode, the story of the texts to trigger the virus was very guessed.
Plot very smoky, but intriguing. Narration anxiety-provoking and well-managed.
Drawings and animations good, very good OST.

"I found a suspicious looking file"

"What's the file name?"

"Individual eleven"

...Oh jeez lol

So I guess TV channels of the future have no qualms about live broadcasting people chopping each other's heads off.

He was the cook at the vegetarian restaurant. Section 9 suspected he was connected to the bombings, and sought to take him into custody. However, the misinformed Section 1 killed him.

Same here. I really wanted Aoi to appear, but as I thought, he didn't. According to his entry on MAL, he never shows up again after the closure of the Laughing Man case.

I really liked the van scene where everybody was stating what they have done. They seemed really nice characters, hoped for some development around some but they are all dead…oh well Kinda guessed that the white one would survive

Rooftop scene was badass

Damn that shock factor was too intense and messed up section 9's mind and thankfully the show censored the violent factor :), so good episode. The question is if did they really plan to kill themselves (at the beginning) since white-haired swordsman was alive toward the end and also this makes more strange thing about him that why he also asked them about indiv 11 book at first!? This is suspense at its finest! at least hoping Borma is alive!

Before he went out, the first place I thought he would visit was Laughing Man himself lol

And this episode is great! I thought those Individual Eleven dudes were going to attack somewhere (government building, refugee settlement, etc.) but this is even cooler (yet messed up). And I like when they discussing their achievement with pride.

Ishikawa just simply punched Borma's head lol
