If anyone remembers, in one of the firts episodes Munakata stops chasing Naegi and the others when they close the door, so we thought that ''open doors'' was his forbbiden action. Do you think that is related to the secret door Izayoi found?

I half expected Seiko to commit sudoku by finally eating Ruruka's dewicious sweets. She actually died...feels bad man. A tragedy they didn't get to make up at the end.

Chairman died too. RIP Former Super Highschool Old Man ;( He must've thought his "I can never tell a lie" situation would go through a megalomaniac like Munakata. Why he do dis ~-~

Hagakure doing what he's best at led Izayoi to a secret passage. Can't wait to see what's there.

That doping at the end plus him being conscious makes it hard for me to not see Council Prez as the main killer around here ,_,

Sucks that Seiko died, but I honestly don't completely dislike Ruruka because of this. Quite sure there's more to her character, despite how she was shown, much like other Danganronpa characters like Koizumi being a lot more nice to girls than guys, and Byakuya and Saionji being so mean.

But still, THE CHAIRMAN! I absolutely can't forgive Munakata for that. Legit killed someone. Practically the only one I really want to die besides that boxer because of that. Screw him. :(

sooooooo many "translations" of what tengan said r going arround...

well, i was thinking while walking...
how does he know who the killer is?

what if, the killer alternates...
and he was the first killer, killed chisa, then when bullbro died, he just figured that the killer alternates?
the same can be said that he killed bullbro and someone killed chisa...

i think that gekogahara/monaka killed bullbro and made that fake asahina death to make naegi feel/show despair... monaka is weird...

oh, btw, hakakures helped yzaioi(?) find an secret door...
that means that they r on the same building...
so why would the mastermind take yzaiois(?) kunai from ep1 from the wall?
and they repaired the wall as well...
why...?

So, Munakata could be the new Byakuya/Fuyuhiko type? Being an ass at first and he'll somehow become nicer on the way? Who knows. He's just a red herring, people are thinking he's the traitor because he's an ass with delusional ambitions.
I don't believe that the traitor is a single person, it could be either no one, alternates, or everyone is a traitor to themselves.

Personally, I thought this episode was fantastic, I loved how they portrayed Seiko & Ruruka's relationship. Prior to the Nagito episode, I considered those three among the weakest content in all of Danganronpa 3, but as of this episode, I think they're probably my favorite thing so far, in the Future arc at least, which has been okay so far. This episode was great outside of that personal story though, I'm not a fan of the whole quiet reveal trope they pulled here with Tengan but I can't deny it was effective. I especially like how they tied it into his forbidden action. Really excited to see where the series goes from here, I especially can't wait for the series to shift focus on to Kyoko, pretty interested in her findings.

Im gonnna throw out a random idea from completely left field.

My possibility is that monaca dies right now and the pharmacist girl dies too. But what if we never find out monaca died and pharmacist girl death is ment to distract us from monaca death. Its just super suspicious that Izayoi found the secret door (I dont believe monica is the killer and will die soon) and thats it, we dont see from him till everyone falls asleep. That would imply izayoi is the traitor is would be next to be suspicious.

Just trying to beat this series misdirection by being completely unreasonable with the information we got

Good lord have mercy on me with that Seiko & Ruruka back story. Ruruka's inferiority complex she held toward Seiko was some of the silliest shit. I've seen a bunch of people trying to "defend" her, talking about she just wanted to be recognized by Seiko and She never hated Seiko etc etc etc.

Yes I understand that Ruruka isn't a "Bad" person. Yes I understand that she really did want to be Seiko's friend and at first she was.

But Ruruka girl please. There were plenty of things you could have done to get Seiko to recognize your talent without killing her.

Could have had her help you make your sweets.

Could have had her watch you make your sweets.

Shit as someone said if Ruruka was so good at making sweets, she could have just made sweets that Seiko could eat.

Fuck lets expand on that, could have started a joint project with Seiko to make a sweet she could eat.

Hell lets think long term. Let's pretend the great despair never happened.

Graduate.

Open a world famous sweet shop. ( Best sweets ever? Fuck money, she will make it there someday.)

Become rich as fuck.

Invite Seiko to your Willy Wonka chocolate factory.

Tell her to eat her heart out.

So many things she could have done, yet she held it in and became jealous and spiteful toward one of her best friends for something so petty.Wanting to be accepted and praised by Seiko because of her talent doesn't justify the way she treated her.Now don't get me wrong, i'm not on the Ruruka kill train. But until they start the Ruruka redemption (please Ruruka be sad.) when she finds out Seiko is dead. I will be in the Ruruka's a jealous bitch corner. Because at the end of the day, she is just a jealous bitch.

I really love the OP and ED for Miraihen more than Zetsubouhen.

Ugh, that sweets bitch is annoying. Seiko can't eat sweets because it interferes with her medicine. And realistically speaking, some people are allergic to certain food and things and cannot eat it. You can't force someone with a nut allergy to eat your fucking nuts because that person could fucking die. You can't hate someone who's allergic to someone just because it hurts your fucking feelings.

Juzo is definitely gay for Munakata.

Motherfucker, Munakata is nuts. Poor Chairman :( I liked him a lot.

NOOOO NOT BEST GRILL AND CHAIRMAN

"I hate you cuz you wouldn't eat my sweets", uhm, no, because she COULDN'T! The candy girl better get killed off real soon

I sincerely hope the killer isn't Munakata, that would be WAY too boring... I still think it's Mitarai. The way he reacted when Kirigiri asked him why he wanted to know how much she knew about the killer is simply too suspicious for me to brush it off

Just want to remind everyone about this.

This can still be true. Seiko was murdered by the attacker and Tengan was killed directly by Munakata, not in the sleep time or by the poison, so that's why he is different than everyone else. I don't want this to be true, because that would mean that Munakata and Miaya will survive and Asahina will die.
Wait, isn't the chairman the one who's facing backwards? Then that theory makes no sense whatsoever since a) he wasn't allowed to lie and b) we could clearly see that he was killed by Munakata

It's probably just a red herring

That Ruruka is a massive fucking idiot. She hates Seiko because she won't eat her candies. Even though she's fully aware that it's because of her health issues. She knows sweet food will kill her. She even used her when they were young, asking for various shit. And the most annoying of all is that she somehow convinced her stupid self that she's the victim and she's the one who's been wronged. Sadly, there's no medicine for stupidity. Someone kill this bitch already.

How does one exactly become a remnant of despair? By wanting to see people suffer? Because for all I know that bastard Munakata is one of them. Someone should kill this bastard too. Also that stupid boxer. And that yoi-chan guy who has a sweet-tooth yeah kill him. Kill em all.

Wow, this show is really getting better! I'm watching it with the another one and just the last episode which I know what it meant to watch an episode here and the other there.
To be honest, since the second ep I planned to complete this by itself (as its easier to deal with by knowing the characters from the first season).
I don't know what have gone on in the second game. But I'm just liking this show!
These kind of shows where there are a lot of characters with lot of relationships are always a bonus!
To be honest I thought this would be boring, it turned out to be better than the first season, what do I know ?!

Guess we had to get these characters out of the way at some point right? I didn't find the Chemist, Confectioner or Blacksmiths story that interesting. The candy bitch is just too terrible a person. And I just can't get invested in three characters who are part of a last ditch resistance against evil homicidal teddy bears. But are still pettily squabbling about who got who expelled from High School. Glad their story seems a little wrapped up now. To say the least. And while I just want to see the cast of the first game figuring this shit out. I did like some of the flashbacks there was some alright character stuff there. And I did find her condition being the shadow thing, and that whole conflict in general to be interesting from a plot stand point.

Speaking of which my friend totally called the Chairman's condition before it was revealed. I was proud of him, good deduction. And yeah the Chairman was a tough bastard really thought he was dead already. Well now Munakata knows who the traitor is. Or at least who the Chairman genuinely believed the traitor was. Who was it? What will Munakata do with this information? Anyone's guess.

- Sigh, I think the producer wants me to feel despair as they keep killing the characters I like and leaving those I don't alive. It's like DR1 and 2 all over. RIP Chairman but I really hope Seiko isn't dead, she's the last ano hopefully surviving member of the new cast I like.

If she's dead I don't think I'll care about much of this arc apart from Monaca, the rest of the recurring cast and the inevitable twists. But then again this is DR, I might grow to like someone as I did with Fuyuhiko in DR2.

- That fortune teller guy, do not understand why he's here. Where's Byakuya?!

Finished the fifth future arc episode. thoughts:

-so poor seiko has diabetes. this just makes what happened to her during her whole life, and her death this episode, even sadder. this is legit the saddest person in all of Danganronpa history. she never knew any sort of real kindness :'(
why is it that characters named seiko are usually great people who have terrible fates? first Corpse Party and then here :'(

-this episode makes me reiterate what i said here times ten:
"this episode made it pretty clear that sweets girl is not only a b****,but the WORST kind of b****. I legit LOATH those kinds of people, the ones that claim to be friends just to use you. it is the worst kind. she got what she deserves for sure. i am legit sad that pharmacist girl got fired though. our poor representative didnt deserve it at all :'("

-tengan's forbidden action is weird. i am quite curious that specific forbidden action was chosen for him.

-well,f***. poor tengan. he was the best one in the whole group by far :'(. atleast he died in battle...

-the final scene was constructed so we think "sword guy killed seiko and the scene is happening during the sleep time". fairly certain that isnt the case. the scene happens after they woke up and he most likely just stumbled across her corpse and searched her.

damn. i am already quite depressed today and thinking about this episode made me depressed even more :(

EDIT: f***. just realized she was actually trying to help asahina's wounds not attack her. as if i needed any more reason to feel bad for her :(

Hagakure is a comic relief as always ...

Damn, this was one intense episode. A little slow, but very character focused.

That sweets lady was being a real bitch. I understand she wants her "friend" to enjoy her stuff, but she's taking it to far. I mean, does she seriously think Seiko is lying? What possible reason would she have to lie? It doesn't take a genius to realize that there's something wrong with Seiko, so why can't she understand that?

I'm pretty sad to see the old man die. He seemed to have some sense, unlike that Munekata bastard.

It's kind of a cop-out not to show the audience what the old man said. But I'm guessing he said Munekata is the killer. Not sure why, dude's brain must be busted or something.

I'm guessing he also killed Seiko, or had his henchman do it. Since he's seen shooting up her medicine at the end.

I still want to know if the tomato sauce and knife on Aoi is ever going to be explained. And I don't understand what's going on with the little green haired girl either. I guess I'll wait and see.

The more this goes on, the more I doubt I’ll like either of these anime arcs. Future arc had all the ingredients for me to love it, but I like when Danganronpa is self indulgent rather than self serious. I’d like to mention that watching this in tandem with the Despair arc is brilliant in a few ways, but most importantly because we get to characterize the people in battle by seeing them in life before all of this came to fruition. However, at this point it’s not enough for me, the sad backstories of characters I don’t care about and melodramatic scenes like the girl bashing on the glass don’t do it for me. Backstories being given to make something meaningful can work, but typically once we already came to care about someone, when we’ve yet to care, and I don’t, having displays like that can be too much.

Plus, a huge appeal of the games past self indulgence is that the characters all stand out immensely. They pop and I am forced to love them or hate them, they have a serious presence and the time you spend with them helps create a group dynamic which is then disturbed by murder. Yet, the only characters I care about are the ones which I know from the games, the others are often not gripping in design or personality for me. Rather than forcing me to love or hate them, I tend to forget about the conflicts going on and the flashbacks attempting to make me care when I don’t just make it worse. I did think the old guy who died this episode was pretty radical though, he gave some great lines to the extremist hope. ‘You’re cynical but naive’ iirc, and this time ‘victory is not the prerogative of war alone’. That and his weakness to be unable to lie solidifying his final moments as a badass.

Hiro was stuck outside like a chicken with its head cut off and actually wants inside which is antics which I’ve come to love. Reminds me of Justice Robo days.
