| Finally some good Rory action, this season was lacking in that. Lelei got some good action, too. Idk how to rate this season. I'm happy for Lelei, she got some good feats this season. But on the other hand, I feel like JSDF was too OP? Plus the whole Zolzal/Tyuule conflict didn't get resolved yet. so I don't know. Frankly I wanna go with a 7... |

| Poor Itami.. he only wanted to buy his doujinshi. But in exchange he has a harem now. He should be happy :) Amazing series. The whole medieval vs modern plot was really entertaining. I found myself at the edge of my seat several times. Hoping for a season 3! |
| Loved the ending. Everybody's happy (except Zolza and Tyuule)... Also I like how half the squad got hooked up (romance in anime? never...) in the end lol... and then Itami going no fucks given and going full circle back to his doujinshi as per episode 1. Kind of knew the girls would follow him though and mess it up.. :P Going to be a shame if there is no season 3 though, the show has such a fantastic bunch of likeable characters and it be a shame to see it end here. I don't really know if there's anything new as I don't read the source material at all.. but if nothing else comes, I guess it went out on a good note that made me smile. 9/10. |

| I cringed when they started showing who they ship with who. First, BOZES IS FREAKING PREGNANT??! I'd understand if they came out and said they were dating. I had no idea. Second, Beefeater's boyfriend. Doesn't he have a wife and a kid already?? And the age gap is too huge. Thirdly, Yanagida and Delilah??! I'd think they'd become friends but what in the hell are they thinking..Falling in love with someone who was trying to kill you. And isn't Delilah supposed to be in the wheelchair??! She received multiple bullets from Yanagida, whereas Yanagida only getting a stab from a knife. Lastly, I don't even have to tell you guys about Sherry and the diplomat. It's borderline pedophilia.... Overall, I'd expect this to have season 3 from the way things are going. I was sortof expecting another enemy for season 3. I didn't realize it was still going to be the dumb-ass Prince. Disappointing. No powerful enemy at all. I can't believe the JSDF's main enemy is a dumbass Prince who can't even control his temper and acts like a spoiled brat. I was kind of expecting an enemy, with the likes of Lelouch V Brittania. Who can actually give the JSDF a hard time. I guess I was expecting too much. Next season will probably more fan-service and cute cute crap moe moe stuff. I'm disappointed thinking this was hardcore military vs. military stuff. |

| Even this anime is one of those who see the right perspective only when you end them, a similar ending was conceivable, too happy, oh well! This series for some time, had given the signs of how the story would be closed. I do not call myself a fan of this anime series, so if there will be a third season that is fine, but not be so happy. |

| The last episode ending was so fast and rushed, and looks like Itami and company didn't even struggled on rescuing Pina, and the enemy is only a giant ogre that was wrecked by Rory & Lelei! All the shipping partners were nice! 5/5! 9/10. |

| More or less the same as s1. The Itami worshiping by JSDF personnel is still as cringe-worthy as ever but the constant action made up for whatever deficiencies this anime had. If they didn't have that weird section of Itami acting as Tuka's dad, I might have given this a higher score than s1. 7/10 |

How it was rather selfish of him to drag his team on a personal matter which might result their death. Among the members he mentioned Kuribayashi and how she was very picky in regards to men Itami introduced to her. A little quote from the novels. MoeGod said: If they didn't have that weird section of Itami acting as Tuka's dad, I might have given this a higher score than s1. I think this part was either left out or explained in first season. Basically Itami's mother is in asylum. Her husband (Itami's father) began to physically abuse her and one day she grabbed a knife and the rest is labeled as self-defence. She then had to take care of Itami on her own, blamed herself for the death of her husband and ended up having same symptoms Tuka had before Yao. Prepared dinner for 3 and always expected him to return home, etc. At first her behaviour frustrated young Itami, then made him sad and then angry. At some point he gave into anger over her mother's behaviour and screamed at her "Dad isn't coming home, you killed him!". This pretty much broke her mental state and at later point she tried to set herself on fire. She was forcefully administered into an asylum and Itami still blames himself for what he said to her. Hence his reaction to Tuka was in a sense, his backwards attempt at atonement and preventing a second tragedy. |

| Great final episode. i really really like how they executed everything and how they ended this season. really love it so much. someone got pregnant tho :o XD it's too obvious that Itami will rescue pina and the emperor so easly but the way he did it was really cool. And look just how stupid the prince was. he was trying to mess around with Rory. that's what will happen if you mess around with her XD The relationship is pretty good XD what happened to Tyuule ? crying ? LOL! a little bit confused. so in the end who is Pied Piper ? that is still a question now but well, whatever :D "Hobby comes first" hell yeah... it's damn good to be back again huh ? XD but too bad XD i seriously like how they ended this episode and put the first OP song in the end because that is one of my fav song from Gate XD i give 9/10 for Gate!!! This series is one of my fav of course XD i obviously gonna watch another season if the story still continues. |

| Wonderful followup to already great franchise, I will miss it dearly and I suspect we will see more of GATE, because it's already a legend, at least in the otaku circles. Cheers! These questions are consistently being asked so I would like to be of some service. The current LN chapter: geopolitics. What main events the anime did not cover: civil war and the geopolitics. |

| I wonder if I'm weird because towards the end I only cared about the Sugawara+Sherry shipping. Anyone could tell how Itami's would end. With that said I think the ending was wrapped up too fast and convenient. I was hoping for maybe one more 12 episode season, even if I knew it wasn't realistic. :le sigh: Time to binge watch it all in one go for Easter. 2nd viewing are always the best. |
| A sweet finale to the series. I know a lot of people are going to ask for a 3rd season, but I thought the ending was satisfying enough the way it was. It was nice to hear the first opening theme again during the end credits. |

| Having picked this up when the first chapter of the manga came out, and subsequently picking up more any more content for this show, I cannot help but feel that watching this last episode of the season gave me some bouts of nostalgia. Seems like it's been a long time since I immersed myself in this world, and the way that they set up the episode, what with all the ship reveals, and all the conclusive implications with Pina's coronation and all that, really made it seem like they were ending the adaptation at this point, instead of continuing with the rest of the LN. Personally I do understand that they delved into more geo-politics in the later half of the series, which might be less interesting to most viewers, but being someone who is quite OCD about completion of things, especially when it comes to stories and such, I'd much rather have a complete and comprehensive story as a whole rather than being cut off half-way. You introduced Hardy, the bastard of a journalist, the Pied Piper and some other characters, and don't develop them further? That would be a travesty. They have sufficient content for another season for sure. I for one would hope that they come out with a Season 3. 30 minutes after finishing the last episode, I'm already missing it. And seriously, someone please confirm Beef-eater's "boyfriend"'s maritial status? I'm feeling really peeved about that for some reason. |

| Oh my, this was even better than the first season. I am glad Pina was rescued by Itami and Company. She suffered quite a bit being a prisoner (despite being a princess) What surprised me the most is that Boze is pregnant lmao.. Did not see that coming, but I guess she wanted the Child Support lol I wonder what Pina's reign as Empress will be like and if she is still included in Itami's Harem. Officially, it would be Tuka, Lelei and Rory in the harem, however unofficially Pina and Yao would be included.. 8.25/10 |
| Wow, love the happy ending especially with several real romances shown at the end :D honestly though, I feel that that arrogant Prince and Tyuule would be better off dead, they are lucky to be alive. Itami is still single lol, he has so many more options to choose from :P Pina's other brother is another minor, leaving and never shown returning. |

| What an ending. They save Pina pina so easily and then peace is established. The last part with the couples and then itami was pretty funny, lol. Overall I loved this season. A-1 really impressed me with this show and how amazing it looked and felt. REALLY hope another season pops up sometime, but who knows. |

| What a funny ending. I expected Zolzal to get destroyed and humiliated, and I was pretty sure Tyuule would have some regrets. Now I guess it's Furuta's time to get a bunny warrior. Those couples at the end threw me off, like they were forcefully shown so fans would get some kind of closure. It was just like Itami to miss a coronation in favor of his manga... Overall, I'm gonna rate this lower than the first season. Partially because I guess the first had this unique feeling about it, but mostly because I really didn't like Tuka's arc and how she still calls him dad. The 2nd sentence was a statement, not a question. Sure call me Pedo-Bear if you like. I meant I liked their shiping the most because once Sherry had decided Sugawara was going to be her husband there was nothing stopping it. Guy got put in lock by a child 1/3 to 1/2 his age. Everyone from the Gate (Imperial) side knew it. That was their culture, and it helped that Sherry was not one to be deterred. Not to mention it made for great humor. |
