| I talk about it alot for some reason but fuck it I will some more, I ended up rewatching the fafner prequal i didnt like too much to show to a friend + i wanted to give it a second try, I dont know why i enjoyed it way more than the first time i watched it but it was definetly alot better than i initially gave credit for, it had some really well directed scenes i didnt appreciate until he 2nd watch especially in its final stretch, i still think it should of at least been a full movie but even then it covers alot of ground in the mere 50 minutes it actually was. I think ill bump my score from a low 6 to a solid 7, I just again wish it were a 12 ep show or at least a movie instead |

| I'm kind of impressed by those first 2 episodes of Cinderella Girls. It's just a reeeeeally well-constructed show, every single element of it is good, and the great directing puts everything together nicely. I think I'll start spamming blog posts with my notes about the episodes. It's surreal how it's an idol show, but there's no male-gaze so far, and I don't mean it in the same sense as K-On/Love Live, where they may not show panty shots, but the camera still seems to be magically attracted to the characters' chest, legs and skirt. I don't think you can have less sexualization than this, considering the content. (I bet that the next ep is going to be 90% boob jiggles and upskirt shots) Rin is absolutely gorgeous. Also, there's a CHUBBY GIRL in the cast? What sorcery is this? The show has a basic understanding of how you have to use body language to reflect the characters' personality, which is really simple stuff that should be in every anime, but is pretty rare. This shot is a good example: |

| Man, Trails in the Sky SC is really loving this "hey, you now have to go to 27 different spots around the world and talk to a bunch of people to solve this case" formula. And since you were talking about Abyss, just re-met a girl who is likely an antagonist that really reminds me of Arietta. But it's like, I met her before right and she was with her parents, which are likely also antagonists, but the whole thing just felt so irrelevant at the time that I don't remember them at all now. I faintly remember some info they gave but really can't tell who they were, like the dad used to work in another country or something, which would be super relevant right now, I know some of the antagonists can disguise themselves pretty well too... And of course now I'm taking her on a super secret mission... Just waiting for shit to go down. Too good, I'm kinda anxious and on the edge of my sit here. |
