So that's how Megumi gets ready every day in the morning :3

And her conversation with Kurumi was also interesting.
The zombie stuff is still pretty evident with the scenes shown on the cell phone. That and the way the zombies invaded the school track fields...

Thrilling episode imo. The second half really picked up the momentum with the shit going down. Lol camp.

So they adapted Megu-nee's diary (bonus chapter) that came out yesterday... and the chapter 4 for a full Megu-nee's episode. From the preview of the 4th episode they are probably gonna skip aome chapters so they'll be able to adapt miki's backstory (prediction)
(I didn't watch the episode yet, i just saw the images)

There where no new changes in the opening. That was disappointing.

Also Yuki x Miki best combo

There's been nothing the last episode to warrant any changes in the OP, think a little. Changes will come, but only AFTER certain character changing scenes have been shown.

So they covered the outbreak which is new to me and chapter four. I really enjoyed the lead up to the outbreak since I hadn't seen it before.
The new perspective on Kurumi x Shovel's scene was really well done.

Judging from the preview it's time for Miki's flashback, and after that we can get to the really good stuff. Even though they'll be skipping a chapter or two, I'm sure they'll be able to integrate them in well later.

Was pretty sad this episode. Megu-nee <3
Really good adaptation, they are definetly gonna skip some chapters. But it's okay.
Can't wait for the next episode.

Again i felt so uneasy the whole time, i dont think any anime has done that before to this extent. The rooftop scene was scary.

Really liking Megu-nee's backstory, i really like how she isn't the normal teacher figure but also a friend to the students.

Oh wow, I was really impressed at how they've shown the beginning of the zombie outbreak in the anime and we even witnessed how the three girls met. The middle part of the episode sure was intense and R.I.P. Kurumi's crush, who got crushed...

Back to the usual slice of life at present but the last bit where Megu-nee was writing a report.. The fadeout was creepy after the camera zoomed out away from her.. Watching that made me feel uneasy. :s

It seems that we'll be seeing Miki's flashback in next episode. From how I remember from the manga, their meeting was interesting so I wonder if it'll be the same here in anime form.

Wow they just revealed one of the main mysteries of the manga, how they all met and how Yuki got delusional.
I find Yuki less cheerful in the anime than the manga for some reason.
Next week more flashbacks with Miki's story, see this is what happens when you jumble events, we could've had all of it happening in the main timeline but no they go and make it a flashback and spoil the outcome just to have more girls in the first episode.

Kurumi X Shovel is best pair. She was so pro at killing her crush with it and butchering him to bits. Senpai noticed her a bit too late unfortunately.

So glad they went with original material for adapting how the outbreak began. Love how they also adapted part of Megu-nee's diary to help build up to the past events. That rooftop scene sure was unnerving, especially seeing Kurumi bashing her zombified crush serveral times on the head. Also liked how they showed how three of the girls met with each other. The ending though. Can't wait for next episode on Miki's past.

Something seems off with Megu nee. Either she's already dead and just Yuki delusion or it's death flag.

Since the ED doesn't feature her and MAL does not list her as main, I've a feeling we won't see her long in this show.

Dammit Yuki, snap out of it. Wake up. Is Yuki still delusional in the manga?
ZapredonJul 23, 2015 8:41 AM
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

Oh it was pretty good. We actually learn now how they got on the roof and the relationship they had before the apocalypse. But I feel that the pacing is really slow. I think it's 1-2 chapter per episode.

Edit: But why was the senpai here...didn't he graduate? I guess he just went to pay visit to the track and field team and the apocalypse came but it's still felt a little out of place for him to be there.

This was great when it was dealing with how it all started. The gradual build-up of tension, shown both through the escalating chaos and the character interactions was excellent. Then, naturally, it returned back to the present and removed all sense of tension. This would have been a fantastic episode if not for those last few minutes.

The SoL could be better but I guess that's also because most of us don't really come here for the SoL but the SoL parts do a good job here.

That was really good. The start of the apocalypse was really well done imo. They really nailed the atmosphere.

Before I thought Megu-nee wasn't actually real and just part of Yuki's delusion, but now apparently she does exist. But I still don't buy it, I think she might have died and only Yuki can actually see her, because the other girls usually don't talk to Megu-nee, they only do if Yuki starts the conversation.
But I might be wrong so whatever.

Good episode, the second half was thrilling but I still have a lot of doubts and questions about how they managed to separate themselves from the zombies as for the reason why they can't reach their place or attack them, can't be the tables blocking the way!

Yuki's delusion is caused by shock so it should calm down ones she starts excepting the situation.
She isn't showing any signs of excepting the situation tho.
I also suggest you look at the way how Megu nee talks with the group.
As for the room at the end i guess it will be explained next time.

I have too say tho that the manga never covered the part how about when the school was taken over by zombies.
It never explained the zombie outbreak either, it does explain some other things but saying those would be spoiler territory.

Okay episode. Everything about the buildup, the outbreak and the action on the rooftop was handled pretty great.

However it feels like the SoL parts of this anime kind of ruin it. They build up such a good atmosphere only to have it reduced to nothing by the SoL. It's an interesting concept but as it is now the SoL parts are actually a bit bad imo with non-interesting interactions and the characters are pretty boring during these moments unlike the more intense scenes where everything is pretty great.

Hope it gets better, as for the zombie things, I love it!

I havent read Megu-nee's diary chapter yet but its good that the start of the apocalypse actually got explained! Great episode, loved seeing the videos that Megu-nee's mom sent her, really sets the situation at hand. Next episode seems to be about Miki's story since its called "outing".

Spoiler just in case (to manga readers):

That moment Yuki tackled Kurumi to stop her while bawling, that hit surprisingly hard. Fantastic voice acting coupled with great direction on that one.

The outbreak. I don't remember this in full from the manga, I'm assuming they adapted some bonus chapter I didn't read. This actually works well for the anime as Megu-nee's backstory is more coherent and "full" this time around (for those that didn't read the outbreak chapter).

Now, what about Miki? They meshed her in with the earlier chapters in this adaptation but she doesn't appear in the backstory? Maybe they will go through with how it was in the manga, but since I'm so dense I fail to see where that would fit in.

Why do people have such bad taste? Anime isn't subjective anymore.

Altough Yuuri touches bite wound and Kurumi takes zombie blood why didn't they become zombie? Do they already have immunity or infection only bite?
Next episode is "Ensoku". I already read this episode by manga, and I felt sad. But I'm looking forward to next.
