The manga is selling in the 7 digits so it's cool.

Nostalgia has nothing to do with it. Far more people than you'd like to believe prefer F/SN over F/Z.

Actually I'm surprised it managed these sales considering the many alterations and deviations from the source, which Japanese fans apparently dislike a lot (look at Parasyte sales...)

Fate route won't happen because "we respect DEEN's work" which translates to some legal issues or whatever, so sadly all we have is the VN for Fate.

If HA gets an anime then I hope it doesn't adapt the whole thing and just adapts the important bits.

Pretty disappointed with Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (TV) sells, such an amazing series.
Still it got manga boost and I hope live action will be doing great.

Also nice thing, SAO sales are steady <3

Well the sales for Vol 1 of Tokyo Ghoul Root A were given, considering how butchered it was. Japaneses fans are pretty much dissapointed in it. The only way Studio Pierrot can gain trust from fans is by animating Tokyo Ghoul Jack OVA really well. Anyways if you add the sales to season 1 it totals out by about 6K which is decent.

Though the great thing is that the Merchandise is selling really well and it's getting a stage adaptation. Plus the Manga Vols are selling amazingly as well.

The figures for the Blu-rays aren't out yet probably because its been only 2 days since it was released. You can keep track of them here
http://www.someanithing.com/3103

Also Parasyte's sales are kind of sad.....

That tweet was a joke anyway :p

.. Then again this is still the first week, maybe it will sell more and reach 50K then S2 sells another 50k?

Kancolle sold well, it's not the best series out there but is highly enjoyable and deserved a second season. The game needs to sell well, I want nothing less than 100k+ sales for Kancolle Kai.

Good for Dog Days", as it performed very well at gamers as the previous seasons did. Although it is a drop from the previous seasons, which is a shame.

They waited too long after the first two seasons. Three years is way too long to wait, especially if you keep baiting your audience the way they did after S2.

Considering it's huge franchise in Japan and vol.1 comes with event ticket, 19,973 for Kancolle vol.1 is pretty low and means the anime indeed have big issues.

The anime is hated amongst the fans of the game and the light novel. It obviously would've done much higher than ~20k 1st week, if the anime was actually decent... but what can you do?

I thought KanColle was quite good, despite the many issues. I think they just didn't really know who to target, which might explain why they tried too hard to pander to the fanbase, alienating anime-only watchers (such as myself). Plus, not killing off any major characters, perhaps in fear of fan retaliation is (IMO, at least) the worst decision they could have made. Hopefully, they change this for the sequel, as they might get more bang for their buck if they can get more non-gamers to buy the anime.

Still, 20k is by no means bad. Could it have been more? Probably, but plenty of Japanese seemed to like it nonetheless. We'll have to see how the remaining volumes will do to see if it can reach a decent average. I personally think 15k is feasible, perhaps more.

It's the other way round here - UBW is (part of) the original and Fate/Zero is a prequel to it. You're right about the remake part, though I think I've yet to come across a single person claim that the movie version was superior to this TV series.
Doesn't matter. UBW came later so the "sequel drop" applies.

Japanese liked Parasyte but preferred to spend money on live action. Production comitee was perfectly aware anime won't sell many BDs even before it started airing, as that wasn't its goal.

The thing is at least Assassination Classroom's anime adaptation is decent on the other hand Root A wasn't. Plus season 1 and season 2 altogether sold decently which can't be said for AssClass.

Though really it doesn't matter as long as Merchandise and source material sell well.

So what are the chances of Shirobako Season 2 or a movie? I know people say that PA works makes no sequels, but isn't this really good sales for an anime original?

I'm not sure about the chances of a sequel for Shirobako, but I do think the sales have been quite impressive, particularly for a P.A. Works original anime. However, I don't think P.A. Works does as many shows as some of the other studios, which might make a sequel less likely. Then again, if they think they can make money, who knows...

The PS game seems to have started well. It was solicited at Amazon 3 days ago, and the "Amazon Limited Edition" is already 45th for the 2015 Yearly Games Ranking:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/bestsellers/2015/videogames/ref=zg_bsar_nav_d_0_d#3

For the hourly bestseller rankings at Amazon, the differing editions are at (as of 20:38 JST)
*1 Amazon Regular Edition (without bonuses)
*2 Amazon Limited Edition
*6 Amazon Regular Edition
*7 Regular Edition (without bonuses)
45 Limited Edition

Haven't looked at the other online retailers (such as Animate, HMV, gamers, softmap, etc) but I imagine it should sell well at Animate and gamers too at least. I also have high hopes for the PS Vita game sales, as it should be much closer to the original browser game than the anime adaptation of course.

Nearly every single anime have a limited and a regular edition. This is nothing new, as in the past the lists used to omit "Limited Edition" because the Regular Editions rarely rank at all. Of course in the rare cases where both editions rank, then a distinction is made between the releases on the list. So I have no idea why MAL has recently been putting Limited Edition on everything, when everyone who follows sales already knows they are Limited Editions.
I see. I didn't know about that. Thanks.
