Which one do you think was the BEST our of the seven movies (not including epilogue or other recaps).
| Wow, I guess I'm in the minority, because I liked 4 (The Hollow Shrine) the most. In fact, it was the only one in the entire series that left me feeling more or less satisfied writing-wise. There was a lot of Touko-san, which probably added to the enjoyment. :3 It was also interesting to see Shiki overcome her trauma - both physical and mental, and learn to use her powers (although she did become OP way too quick, tbh - hardly any development there). I did not like 5 *at all*, I'd rate it below 1,3 and 7 easily. |

| Since I finally got to watch the last one, might as well put them in order, for the sake of future reference: 5>3>1>7>4>2>6 Glad that most people agree that the 5th one is the best, and the Azaka's story is the worst movie :> Although I honestly don't get the appeal of the last movie, huh... to each their own, I guess. Plus, I'm really not the fan of Shiki's backstory episodes, both of them were pretty boring for me. |

| 4 > 5 > 2 > 3 > 1 > 7 > 6 This series had a good start, a great middle, and a boring/predictable end. Wish I would've just watched 1-5 and called it quits. |

| i gotta admit i'm surprised with how this turned out, i mean it's a nasu ln, i was expecting the worst. i hate fate, yet this somehow works. 7th and 5th by far the best, 2nd being close by. 1st and 6th worst ones. the rest are meh. |

| I'm conflicted over the firth versus the seventh who are superior to the others, with the sixth being the worst one. I think the fifth is the best since it had multiple conflicts from Souren being the mastermind in attempting to kill Shiki for her eyes, Tokou's fight against them, and the unique concept of ying yang being connected to the apartment complex that he created to have a loop of the victim's deaths inside it. Although, other than more variety of thrill in different aspects, the seventh could be the second or the best out of all of them since it finally reveals Shiki's behavior to an extent and who the killer was, to which in the end leads her to peace of accepting herself and her love for Mikiya. Overall, I think Kara no Kyoukai deserves a 6/10. I'm not sure how fulfilling the novel is in superiority with its true depth, but the anime is flawed in not delivering important context of the character's behavior which made most of the movies feel mindless throughout the mystery of the whole story. Individually; 1 (4/10), 2 (5/10), 3 (4/10), 4 (5/10), 5 (7/10), 6 (3/10), 7 (7/10). Ultimately the flaw of the bad mindless lack of context in the behavior of the character's and their flat mindsets is what makes this story a little dumb and mediocre to me. Although enjoyment does play a factor and I'm not very certain on how exactly low I should rate bad stories. To say the least it's overrated, even though it was somewhat interesting. |

| Best anime series of all time for me by a wide margin. Movie 7 is my favorite among them, movie 5 I'd say 2nd and I even love the OVA so much of the non-stop talking between Void Shiki and Mikiya. But tbh, every movie for me is a masterpiece in its own way except the 6th one (Oblivion Recording). Each movie plays a fantastic part in building the impact, the world, the characters, the concepts, the tone and so much more and Movie 5 and 7 is basically where that great buildup comes to life the most with brilliant storylines which are either self-contained like 5, or thrives on the intense buildup of emotions and bonds with characters like 7 with Shiki and Mikiya's relationship. On my MAL at least, I gave movie 4 a 9, movie 6 a 7, Mirai Fukuin a 9 and the rest big movies a 10 (I'd give 5 and 7 specifically a 11 if I could). Worth it for the greatest anime I've seen on nearly all fronts. |
| One of the most overrated anime movie series, imho (at least it’s pretty looking despite its overly convoluted nature). I’d say movie 5 is probably my favorite from the bunch because it was basically focused on catching a criminal. I can actually enjoy the campy fun and action of that more than with all the other movies. I’m not gonna state individual ratings, though. They’re all too much in the gray for me. In fairness, the LN source material is REALLY hard to adapt properly, to no one’s surprise. |

| 7>5>2>3>1>4>6 this is my order, really loved the movies centered on shiki's psycho persona and the big cases and I loved the grand mystery of the Paradox Spiral, the movie about the sister was boring and I didn't care about the witches, the 4th movie wasn't to my taste because nothing happened |

| I think the fifth movie is the best movie! It was awesome in every way! It also had one of the greatest plot twist! In total for me: 1. movie 5 2. movie 2 3. movie 7 4. movie 3 5.movie 4 6.movie 6 7. movie 1(Probably because I did not understand many things when I watched it! Maybe if I watch it again, my opinion will change! Anyway, what is clear is that ost was amazing!) |
