Oh Jojolion at rank 4 this week, cool. Also, I wonder what Tokyo Ghoul RE will rank this year later on. Good to see Nanatsu no Taizai getting more attention ever since the anime started airing. Nice. Now it just needs more viewers so it's more useful on FAL teams Good to see NT volume 11 at top of the LN list this week as well. |

Even the mangaka's oneshot compilation ranked well! The anime also had a high viewership so I'm expecting more from this series sales-wise in the coming weeks. *7. *86,131 *,*86,131 Koe no Katachi Vol.6 10. *64,346 *,*64,346 Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi Vol.59 14. *53,774 *,*53,774 Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso Vol.10 15. *52,045 *,402,025 Bleach Vol.65 43. *24,977 *,*24,977 Q.E.D. Shomei Shuryo Vol.49 Now for some one-off comments: I'm hoping to see an anime announcement for Koe no Katachi but I think that there's only one volume left to come out as the series is ending in November. Was that Kenichi's final volume, or is there one more? If it is, at least it ended in the top 10 ranking. I think that this is also the second last volume of Shigatsu wa kimi no uso. It's ending April if I recall correctly. Maybe one or two more volumes? Bleach... its got staying power, I'll give it that. But I have to say Kubo is probably the #1 in the industry in regards to the [sales generated]:[work put into manga] ratio. QED is so far ahead that scanlations will probably never catch up to it in my lifetime. Could have been higher if Index III was announced. (Wishful thinking). Either way, sales are par for the course. Like Bleach, its got staying power. *6. 10,990 *10,990 Amagi Brilliant Park Vol.5 10. *7,313 *17,393 Amagi Brilliant Park Vol.1 11. *5,842 *10,815 Amagi Brilliant Park Vol.2 16. *5,337 **5,337 Amagi Brilliant Park: Maple Summoner Vol.1 18. *4,967 *32,003 Amagi Brilliant Park Vol.3 19. *4,745 *30,567 Amagi Brilliant Park Vol.4 Not bad. How about looking at the others? Ansatsu and Kuroku are also down by a lot, there was just something off about them this time. I'm not familiar with the others so I don't care about them. Bleach's sales I find interesting because of how they seem to be steadily declining by the volume. There may have been something off about Vol 65 because it's sales dropped a LOT harder than usual but the manga is amazingly getting worse all the time so it might be why. It's not just this volume though there's a very clear pattern of the dwindling sales. They remained consistent between Vol 56-59 but then it just got worse and worse. |

@scabab, yeah it declined an you have a grudge, but this volume especially along with a lot of others declined too, so you can't use this volume as a comparison. And the other volumes are still maintaining the 500-600K average, it's just that alot more manga are being released so you can't see it in the top 50 anymore, but it still sells well per week. some covers |

This volume is 84275 after 9 days - a drop of 2.3%. It'll be interesting to compare the yearly rankings for volume 16 when they come out with the yearly rankings data for volume 13 (which is currently the highest seller of the series by the data we have). The volumes will have had exactly the same number of days of sales as each other by that time, just one a year later than the other. A similar comparison should be possible between volumes 15 and 17. |

Topping the chart doesn't matter much, it just depends if a manga has any other strong competition or not during a particular week. A better analysis would be to compare the 1st week sales to its previous volume. Here, Vol.14 has managed to beat Vol.13's 1st week sales by almost 10k despite having been on sale for 2 days less. The anime has definitely done its job well... but it's done that since Vol.13 anyway. Is that true? end of week 3 sales figures: v1 261509 v2 406844 v3 453678 v4 522851 v5 500603 v6 533934 v7 574310 (includes LE) v8 574400 v9 572944 v10 530699 v11 503627 Thanks. I guess it's because everyone in jump now have 250,000 - 600,000 copies per volume and 500,000 doesn't seems so impressive anymore. |

So I must say I was disappointed they didn't announce it on volume 26 but volume 27 would be OK too. If that passes without an announcement then I will be worried that season 3 isn't happening. We now have enough books as s1 was 1-8.5, s2 was 8.5-17 and now we have 18-26 so enough material and also actually a good stopping point at the end of v26. So... please, please, season 3!*6. 126,032 *,255,330 Chihayafuru Vol.26 Third season when? I really wanna a third season of Chihayafuru <3 The manga sales seem to be down a bit as well so I think it is time for another boost. Please! |

I think it will pass TG, they sold in 2 weeks what TG sold in 4/5. If it keeps selling like this it will pass TG 100%. Next 2,3 weeks will tell us. |

Just kidding. Kind of. Though if that's what it takes to get another season of Chihayafuru... |

There is only 4 weeks left to be counted for the 2014 yearly rankings. 2013 yearly ranking covered the period of 2012/11/19~2013/11/17. 2014 half-yearly ranking covered the period from 2013/11/18~2014/05/18, so the 2014 yearly ranking will definitely cover up to Nov 16th. Who knows, Nanatsu does have some chance of passing Tokyo Ghoul, but Tokyo Ghoul has experienced continued anime boosts for around 3 months more than Nanatsu due to when they both started airing. If the gap between them is currently more than 1.2M units, then I don't think Nanatsu will beat Tokyo Ghoul in the 2014 yearly ranking. |
