| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| wow... that's one hell of a censor for the gourmet after reading the manga, this adaption feels incredibly lackluster. touka was much more shocked when she was being called pretty. and kimi was much more in awe of touka. booo~ they shouldve rushed it even more. ended the episode with 'that' scene. that wouldve been the best place to leave it. |

| I must say I feel like I missed a part don't know why?! But the Kagune from Touka animated it is so beautiful . How could Touka not feel pretty about it ?! The fight in the Church was awesome ,Shuu got badly hurt ,love his accent. So only defeated Nishiki in the cafe uniform was hot !! Amon and Mado appearing was spooky the fight with Jason was cool. Poor Hianami 's father The mother and daughter moment was heart breaking to see ,to run away !! It look sad as much as manga. But that cliffhanger what the hell!! I wanted to scream to Kaneki to help her. |

| The censors this episode really bothered me but strangely it's the first time I can say I was really bothered by them for this series. Anyways, Touka's wings are very beautiful. As for the little girl, she annoyed me when she let go of her moms hand to go look for her dad. I understand she's a kid but you'd think she'd understand her situation now, as in the fact she's a ghoul. Though I was sad about the ending. I don't think the mom will survive seeing as how her dad didn't but wouldn't be surprise if I'm wrong. Did notice Hide was strolling by as well, maybe he'll 'try' to help if Kaneki doesn't. |
| Pretty good episode. Gourmet is down for the count an the fight was good, but Touka trying to kill that girl felt so forced and out of place, i mean she's been quiet this whole time about Ghouls and all, plus Nishiki watches over her, so... meh. The Jason vs Doves fight was badass, but i guess it's too early for more major casualties. Rest of the episode was okay, i feel like the little girl's going to become an orphan... Respect for Nishiki. The guy took a serious beating, survived and he's later serving tables like nothing happened. By the way, now that Jason got a little more spotlight, was the woman he was fighting in Episode 1 Rize or someone not yet revealed? |

| Although the filler with Jason and Hinami's father was good filler, I can't seem to like it when they're rushing this much. And is Jason really just S rank? I don't remember them stating his rank in the manga but I thought that he would be SS rank. Okay, must find something positive to say now. *brain overloads* Oh right, the OST is awesome as always and I think I've already said this before but Touka's Kagune really does look beautiful. Did anyone else feel that the animation of her wing looked a little... shoddy at times though? Maybe it's just me or the video that I'm watching >_> Looking forward to them cramming the 40 somethin chapters left into 6 episodes. huhu Already expecting some explanations to be skipped. | This episode was awesome. I don't know what you manga readers are bitching about. A anime can't be 100% exact like the manga, just because a few scenes are missing, it wont ruin the series. |

| the adapting this slower now, so I imagine that arc the anime will cover of the manga, this episode was full of feelings, but the outcome of the mother protecting her daughter will only be shown in the next episode, I think it would look better if it were shown in this, the sentimentality would be much higher .. |

| nishiki was adorable in the cafe uniform. ovo and wow. hinami's mom's kagune totally fit the mood and her persona and everything. everything about it was so warm and protecting visually versus the kagune we see from most other characters. those weapons that the doves use seem super morbid though... ghoul's kagune? definitely interested in seeing how they make those weapons work. |

| I definitely loved this episode more than the Gourmet arc. I never read the manga and thought the addition of the dad and contrasting that with Hinami and resolving her argument with her mom really added something before her mom's potential death. I loved how her mom dried off her face... Really hoping someone will rescue Hinami at the least. The fight in the beginning was definitely worth watching though seeing after a week does kind of make it lost momentum. I definitely thought Touka's kagune looked pretty as well. I also agree with the comment about the necessity of killing humans that know they're ghoul. I think they should've developed that more. I didn't really think that the ending of the fight was anti-climatic. |
| I didn't think it was possible to add filler and yet rush the shit out of something at the same time. I get the feeling Studio Pierrot is getting off on buttfucking this adaptation with a rusty nail bat. That being said the filler did provide some backstory that was lacking in the manga. So that was nice. The changes they made worked for anime, but I think that the manga's version was sadder. IIRC in the manga the dad died, and I believe he was buried or something. Then the ghoul investigators found the body or something and his mask was with him and that's how they identified him. From there they found out from his identity that he had family and when the investigators were looking for them Hinami and her mom were separated. I don't remember how exactly it happens, but I do remember that in the manga, Mado and Amon don't ever see Hinami. They knew the mom had a daughter, but never saw the face because Kaneki ended up grabbing her and taking her away from her mom. Then the CCG puts up wanted posters saying "hey we're looking for a ghoul girl that kind of looks like this, but maybe not". Since this is only going to have 12 more episodes I'm assuming that the Dove arc will be done in 1-2 episodes. Leaving 4 episodes left for Aogiri arc. Knowing the fast pace I bet they'll have 3 episodes for Aogiri and the last episode will be the episode that transitions between Dove and Aogiri arc, or some stupid rushed ending. |

| As much as they're rushing it and skipping some details, you've got to give them credit for handling the adaptation so far. Yeah the manga is obviously better but still the adaptation has been entertaining so far even though its main purpose seems to be to advertise the manga. |

| I AM REALLY UPSET This episode left me with a pain in my heart that I haven't felt so deeply in a long time... The voice actresses for the mother and hinami were beautiful together. I think OP said it best: A mother's love for her child is the greatest treasure, be it human OR ghoul. I think that's an important underlying theme, and I love where they're taking this. Bless this anime. |

| Nooooooooo... Ghoul MILF-saaaaaan!!!! That Mado guy wasn't really impressive considering his smug attitude, he just comes off as a pesky old man. The younger guy was even more useless. Same with that gay ghoul (whatever his name was), it was hilarious to hear him acting like he's so powerful only to be slaughtered by Touka a few minutes later. |
