Not getting the hype here, what do you guys see in it? it doesn't have the needed character development yet. Lisa's role is still ambiguous and not established, which is concerning. Everything else is fantastic. still think it is aots for me as of now. I get that it. It just doesn't have enough hooks in me yet to get me to sing any praises. This is more for semantics sake, but I can't let it go this time. Why is HxH OVA scored lower than the original HxH? York New is the most brilliant arc in the series and all of its highlights are captured in that OVA. I have a feeling justice has abandoned MAL and I am starting to lose faith in my superhero. |

Yeah, I dug the 99 versions handling of that arc a bit more then the remake's. I dig the dark/grainy/aged looking color filter. Hisoka also had one of my favorite scenes near the end https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2cI60cA0eE#t=543 Also dark blue hair Machi> pink hair Machi |

The production is great and manage to create a amazing atmosphere, I also really like Sphinx riddle and I enjoy how they mix in some Greek mythology, the police part is more classic but with some nice execution so I'm OK with it. All that is enough to keep me interested in the mystery behind the protagonists. Flashoftheback said: Oni-chichi rebuild got 10, though. It should be number 1. |

Bleach might be a bit overrated if you analyze the storyline, the inconsistencies, the cliches and things such as pacing and coherence. But we can't deny that this shit is good: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Q2aM5btBLVU Also, considering that a lot of people, while watching Bleach, care more about the powers and the cool characters and fights... Either way, after Aizen = bullcrap. But I honestly think until then everything was fine and enjoyable. A shame the author got lost in his own creation. |

@Kolnikov Considering MAL's love for battle shounen, I feel an 8.0 is appropriate for the series. It's not as good as One Piece, but a lot more solid than Naruto because of it's focus on the rule of cool and the cockfights. While Kubo couldn't let go, the last arc from the manga atm isn't that bad, but it's still building up. I just hope it ends after this one, however the Aizen issue hasn't been solved, if it's left unsolved for doujins and holding interest after it's over. @kera To avoid future shitstorms like that just be like "I tried watching it, got bored and dropped it so my impressions from the series is pretty meh and I have no interest picking it up". With some more appropriate wording such things can be avoided, unless you want to pull a roricon and provoke everyone. I'm kind of the same with Gintama when I tried starting it off with the first 2 episodes. It didn't grab me, but I know now that it becomes more amusing like 20 eps on. And doesn't JoJo's overblown cheesy action drama not enthrall you? Because that's the entire point of the series. Also you're missing the 2nd Part Battle Tendency which is the best one from the anime imo. |

Monster. - Nonsensical scenarios. - Repetitive. - Out-dated and over-used thrill mechanics. No real suspense aside from playing the next episode. - Easily telegraphed resulting in a rather poor mystery and thriller. - Too many episodic and annoying moments. Unnecessarily and annoyingly slows down the pace for further unnecessary character development and theme emphasis. - Too much emphasis in character appearance, ideals, and actions; so open book that it deteriorates in the mystery department because of the lack of ambiguity. Themes and motifs and also deteriorated due to the blatant nature of the characters and their actions/choice of words. It's not bad. It's above average, obviously, but nowhere near as great as people claim it to be. |

Oh, and what tsud said : fabulousness out-of-control =/= troll. @kera at the very least try going through the 2nd part; Phantom Blood is arguably the weakest part of the show and there still might be a good chance that Battle Tendency succeds in grabbing your interest. Zeppeli* That's interesting, beccause I think I'm pretty much of the opposite view. The OTT madness was intriguing, but everything became a storm once we got to that point. By the way, did you watch it as it was airing? |

Like Ckan, that's pretty much the contrary to me: Zeppeli's appearance and the introducton of Hamon (OBAA-MOTHERFUCKING-DRAIBU) pretty much multiplied my enjoyment tenfold. But then again, I was sold the very moment Dio dramatically knee'd Johnatan's dog in the muzzle. |

Kars has a certain respect for nature, a soft side to him. He simply wants to be God and live in his own eden that already exists. DIO on the other hand is antagonistic as fuck, he's evil and he's enjoying it. He simply wants power,to rule and manipulate others, he wants everything because he has had nothing his entire life. He's the the kind of villain you love to hate, Kars is below him on that front. |

Speaking of Jojo I think part 1 is underrated. It was my favourite part so far. Its the most tragic and has that dracula vibe. But most importantly the love-hate relationship between Dio and Jojo. I guess its just because my best friend is my twin brother but I could really relate to them. I dont think I ever cried as much as when watching episode 9. This is also one of the reasons I dislike FMA:B so much. The two brothers just felt really "fake" to me. Together with the "comedy" in most inapropriate places. |
