It was a Nice Episode very relaxing, the OP&ED was also good and I'm just happy seeing an Atelier game getting an Anime adaptation( I would have wanted the Arland Series to be the first one though)

Only know this is based a JRPG which seemed like it was more targeted towards a female audience or people looking for a more relaxing rpg

this episode pretty much felt like if you took out all the tutorial stuff and went straight into the first quest so i can't say i was expecting much

least the arts nice

Felt just like being in the game world, particularly as we were walking through the town. Seems like they are skipping the combat, which is an essential part of the game (based on my experience with Atelier Meruru), but the earlier opponents are pretty wimpy (rabbits and animated dango as I recall).
Please don't feed the trolls!

Not really familiar with the Atelier game line, but I did enjoy this episode. Game adaptations are really hit-or-miss and so far I would say this first episode has mostly been hit. Escha's apparent innocence is rather endearing. I am expecting some stuff about those ruins though, since that was pretty much the only sequel hook they went into detail about besides the backstory about the Land of Dusk.

Very cute and relaxing serie, I really like the visuals so that's a big plus. I haven't played the game but I've wanted to for a while now. I wonder if they'll keep the romance hints in it, they would make a really cute couple and it adds a little extra to the serie :)

I liked the heroine and the MC, The OST, art & animation and the chill atmosphere, Definitely a great episode. I planned to buy a few of the Atelier games in the series in the somewhat farther future, should I start with the game that this anime is based on, or some other game in the series?

Not sure if I'll keep watching this, I doubt it could get any better. Very disappointed with this, it's too cute, the romance is too pronounced, the pacing is too slow.

One more episode maybe.

Funny how they throw in all the ingredients into the pot and get different items out of it. So obvious it is based off a game.

I wish they didn't cram so many events into this one episode and instead focused more on the atmosphere and environment since the world in this anime is quite nice.

I haven't played any of the Atelier games but watching this felt like I was actually playing it, I don't know why. When I saw the cauldron I was like "rpg!" :p Such a nice atmosphere too, really calming.

Escha's adorable and Logy seems like a nice dependable guy. The OP and ED's good. Yep, good first episode.

Hmm it was nice I don't mind slow pacing in anime but nothing really interesting happened in this episode.

However, nice set up for next episodes with that ruins in the sky so I'll see where it goes from here.

Hope this will keep up.

LMAO, I know it's based on a game, but it still was more game-like than I expected (that "cook it all" cauldron)

Hmmm... can't say I have high expectations on this though, it might end up being as dull as Shukufuku no Campanella.

The way the automaton speaks is really eh strange/creepy I dunno why

You have a good ear, she is speaking like an automaton, with a slight clip to her sentences probably due to the clockwork parts that she is using to speak (assuming that from the windup device in her head).

Its a nice small touch that raises this show above being too sugary, though it is that. Don't need it to be dark or bitter, but a little bit of iron would help (though it is implied).

I did like the talk about how long it took to cultivate the area, that is a very historical truth. Ancient societies spent generations planting and tilling to turn large areas of the world (like the Middle East and North Africa) from wastelands to gardens, it only took a determined enemy to turn it back.

Hah, it's like playing a game without have to scream at a screen while I lose to a boss a half dozen times XD

Lovely art. Cute characters. Seems like... every other RPG ever :'D I don't mind. I'll watch it unless it gets mega boring ^^

(Sup with her fluffy tail? It's cute but seems a little misplaced ^^ I guess she's not human?')

Only watching this because the art but the anime doesn't seem to have as good of art as the game does.

Can't help but think of Ledo considering Logy looks just like him and he's also voiced by Kaito.

This show reminds me alot of Wizard Barristers expect with alchemist instead of wizards and without the fanservice and annoying characters.

Have not played the game nor know anything about the series really, but it's looking good for a first episode. The pacing is calm and slow.

Time to wait and see how bad the game purists flame this later on.

As a person who doesn't have a PS3 this anime series is a nice alternative way

A bit too slow for my taste, and I wish Escha had a different seiyuu, her voice is very irritating to me. Still, not bad and I always wanted to know the Atelier universe better, not having the means to play the games unfortunately. 4/5.

And of course, they will visit those ruin by the end of the show. It is obligatory.

Well, it was good. Not great. Not bad. A bit ok. But good.

It look a bit childish. I'm not that much into soft fantasy, but it sure was cute. Almost too cute :P

It is a bit obvious that there will be a romance between the two main. A cute girl and an handsome man forming suddenly a duo? It's like the most used setting in classic romance xD

Also had to smile at Escha doing alchemy (and at her tail.... I WANNA FLUFFLE IT!)

Her tail is my favourite part in this episode, still it is quite enjoyable

Such a wonderful start :3
I like the animation style and setting which is similar to "Humanity declines" without the faeries
Escha with longer hair would look like Watashi

Seeing Clone there it reminded me of Nano, oh how I miss "Nichijou"

The world itself is very interesting with alchemists as well
Putting gears into cauldron of soup to repair an item was just funny to see
It was so soothing to watch the entire episode overall
