Gamagoori was one massive child, his finger being the size of Satsuki's entire hand. I wonder if his suicide would have even succeeded, the blade might have broken being smashed into his iron body. I'm looking forward to the next elite four fight though, Inumata always seemed a bit more on the mysterious side to me so I wonder what tricks he has up his sleeves.
2-Stripper Sensei becomes suspicious..He is either the bad guy or just afraid Ruyko might push herself hard she might end as that woman mentioned in ep5
3- Next ep against the Nerd, he has been gathering data since ep1..but as from what we can see..Ryuko will most likely win, Ep 11 against the pink loli , Ep 12 rematch against TMNT , Ep 13 Mid series Climax Rematch against Rossiu's Gender-bend or an Imaishi Plot Twist .
4- I think this arc is just to add depth and emotional attraction to the elite four (highlighting their personality, motivation and past) because most likely they'll have a bigger part in the second Half ,either they'll team up withRuyko against the next threat (Satsuki's Mother / Suspicious Nudist Beach / Chancellor Hitler ). or the other way around.
As for Gamagori Size increase in the flash back...well remember Ep1 the first scene? He can increase his size .
Totally expected Ryuuko to not take the offensive initially, and what do you know, Ira turns out to be the ultimate sadomasochist who whips himself into transforming.
Nice to see a challenging battle and a awesome power-up for Ryuuko.
Interesting to see Mako get a nosebleed from looking at Ryuuko's boobies.
My prediction for what is to come:
(I was gonna make a thread for this but :effort: was overpowered by my laziness. Maybe I'll repost it after this.)
This is purely speculation rather than a spoiler, but with the possibility of it turning out like this, you may want to stop reading if you are sensitive to spoilers and want to remain utterly clueless of what is to come. ...for what has been read cannot be un-read...
This is the only way I can see things happening with what has been revealed so far...
Ryuuko will defeat the remainder of the Elite Four at one per episode, taking us to the end of ep12.
These fights will be challenging and Ryuuko will take a beating, but ultimately work out some strategy/level-up to end it at the end of each episode.
Ryuuko may or may not fight Satsuki in ep13, but that wouldn't have any impact on the second part of the story.
At this point (ep13 or ep14), Satsuki will reveal the truth which will go something like this:
The person that killed Ryuuko's father is Satsuki's greatest enemy.
An enemy that Satsuki herself is not strong enough to beat.
This being the reason Satsuki established that school system - to raise an army capable of challenging said enemy.
...With the most powerful uniforms ending up in the hands of the strongest warriors...
Her army was still not strong enough to challenge said enemy, with Ryuuko being the tipping factor.
She forced Ryuuko to fight her way to the top before telling her the truth because:
She wanted to get Ryuuko into the school system so that she didn't just run away and start a fight on her own.
She wanted to verify that Ryuuko will be strong enough to for the impending boss battle.
She wanted let Ryuuko gain fighting experience to become strong enough for the impending boss battle.
She wanted to keep her around as a strong opponent for her club leaders and elite four to gain more experience.
She saw potential for Ryuuko to be the leader of her army.
The reason for school system being structured to determine the wealth of the families is to motivate students to better themselves and their fighting ability.
This will ultimately mean that Ryuuko and Satsuki will unite against a new enemy for the remainder of the series.
The structure of the anime will probably change from a one-on-one challenge battles to an all out war involving all the characters revealed so far fighting together.
The Elite Four may also get stronger and we may see some successful four star uniforms.
Commentry on other existing non-plot-essential speculation:
Mako dies in Season 1 - Based on random digits seen on her calculator - see {this thread} and {this thread}
I don't see this happening, and here's why:
It's just random digits on a calculator. It would make the number 310115.
There's no logical reason for the creators to go out of their way to ruin the suspense by inserting a spoiler. (If anything, they'd put it in to mislead and create more suspense)
It does not make sense that the Japanese creators would put an English message in a Japanese anime that is airing on Japanese TV for the Japanese people and contains no English in it otherwise.
It would be foolish to kill off the most likeable MC.
There's no evidence to suggest that it isn't simply a coincidence that fans are reading too much into.
No-one would take the series seriously if that happened. - You don't just kill off your most entertaining MC.
There's no evidence supporting this, it's a purely random guess. - In fact, the evidence suggests that they never crossed paths before they met in class.
Here's what I think will happen to Mako:
In a time of need or difficulty, she will get another uniform and fight alongside Ryuuko.
She will maintain her overly casual and friendly personality.
She will be a bit overpowered, taking out enemies without receiving any beating in return.
Although, she may get more serious later on if they do decide to drag her into the fighting.
Satsuki and Ryuuko are related - see {this thread}
I don't know what the likelihood of this twist is, given that it won't make any significant different to the overall plot.
If anything, they may be half-sisters based on the following:
They can both wear "God Clothes" while other people can't even control a 4 star uniform. (Ryuuko seems to do this with ease, while Satsuki seems to be internally fighting with her uniform to force it to do her bidding.)
They make similar facial expressions.
Both will stop at nothing to achieve their goals.
Their personalities seem to be polar opposites. (which can be fairly common and entertaining in a family setting.)
It's entirely possible that a disagreement within the family caused Ryuuko's father to split off and do his own research to make Senketsu.
Which could have resulted in a family conspiracy to kill him.
Satsuki probably hates the family member(s) responsible for this (possibly for different reason)
With the enemy also being from the family, it would also make sense for them to be so ridiculously strong that Satsuki would need to build an army to defeat them.
...So the plot could actually turn out to be pretty deep in the end.
Damn, that ending was pretty satisfying, I thought. I'm actually excited for the next episode... I've been wanting to see more of Houka since his first appearance, hopefully I'm not too disappointed.
I can't believe I didn't realize in the preview for this episode that the thing on Gamagoori's face was a ball gag... it looked really out of place before I noticed lol. I'm glad I was right about masochism only being a theme for him, and not a guilty pleasure.

Lol, how'd I know someone would make a gif of this. Can't say I'm particularly against it.

This episode was hilarious with Ira's ensemble of bondage and S&M references. The ball gag was...marvellous.

Ryuko getting all fired up but she's still got 4 hours to wait for the scheduled fight start time. So that the entire town can watch on their stolen television sets with nothing in them... wait...
When did those stands get there? Oh well, no worries.
jijoujibaku - to be caught in your own trap, apparently. But instead of 縛 they use 爆 - explosion.
Don't slash. Pierce. Yeah, like Satsuki did.
Or do that...
New form of Senketsu. Interesting. Mikisugi doesn't seem too pleased, though. What is there about Senketsu that we don't know?
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.
Hm... not impressed, honestly. I guess I keep expecting more from this? The over-the-top ridiculousness wore down after the fourth episode or so, now it just seems like an anime wiith sub-par animation, ridiculous art, even more absurd story (that doesn't even have to be there? Really no idea if I should expect any depth later...) and a good soundtrack.
One Elite 4 down, 3 to go, nice action pack for Ryuko vs Ira.
TBH I was kind of laughing when Ira keeps getting hit or hitting himself, by making his masochist body absorb those to a powerful attack XD. Well at least Senketsu had a plan since the beginning of the fight with a new powerful transformation. Now a set up fight for next weeks episode; Ryuko vs Houka.
Damn, I didn't Satsuki was that much powerful five years ago. Well at least we know why Ira is very loyal to her.
This fight was so awesome. Some how i think panty and stocking has some play in all of this but it his transformation overall was pretty nice. Though i knew once she was close to his actual uniform that it was over i wasn't expect that transformation though.
The fact that uzu could tell might defiantly places him at a higher rank the the other two.
I also can't help but worry ryouko has that korra vibe, rushing off into things without properly training for it first. She should have taken that break.
Loved seeing Gamagoori's resolve although his attacks were a bit kinky, regardless, if the next 3 episodes follow this format with Sanageyama and the others I won't be a happy camper.
This show is gonna turn into the enemy of the week format isn't it? This is all style, no substance.
And Gamagoori's transformation was dumb imo. Also, random power up moment number 3. The similarities to Gurren Lagann are quite striking, only it's done worse.
It almost feels like I'd like this show a lot more if none of the characters actually talked.
thepath said: The fighting is not as good as Sanageyama in ep6, but I do like Senketsu new form.
The fighting in that ep was kinda stale as well. Just stills of Sanageyama doing the same attacks over and over.
The only time they've made the fights look interesting was parts of Ryuko vs Satsuki and the 3-way between Ryuko, Tsumugu and Nonon's non-athletic clubs, only because that fight was unconventional. I hope they do more stuff like that over the generic fight they had in this episode.
"Oh I'm getting my ass beat? Why don't I just TRANSFORM AND KICK ASS?!" -is like the ultimate cop out, they've done it a couple times already. Hope it doesn't become a running theme
HAHAHA I can't believe he had a gag....that's hilarious.
I always thought she would be fighting the elite 4 periodically throughout the series... but if she defeats them all this early I'm really excited to see how the story will progress; there are still so many episodes left.
