I don't care if it's trying to survive. I would stab the ant until it died. Although, with my weak powers, I'd probably get eaten instead.... >___< gotta call Gon/Killua haha. I can't wait till they beat these ants up. But stilll, those poor kids :'( waaaah. I literally cried; they were so cute. Reminds me of my big brother. What about their mom? Omg tooo sad. Actually, I really compare the chimera ant with Cell from DBZ. Anyways, rant over. That was a great episode. Really excited for this arc, although I know I'll be raging and very emotionally invested in it. xD This feels a lot darker than usual, and not sure if I'm going to like it or not. I really enjoy HunterxHunter for it's lightheartedness, but I'm interested for this turn of events as well. Also, really eccentric group of characters in this arc. xD Makes me giggle seeing them all together. Looks great though! Oh, and Gon made me laugh with his doggy nose. :3 So cuuute. Btw, no spoilers please, but could someone tell me how far this arc is in the manga? I know it's not finished yet, but I'm wondering when to expect fillers and/or a hiatus. (although that would suck like crazy. hopefully no anime-only ending tho) |
| This arc and the arc after are both finished The mangaka chose a nice place for its current hiatus. The anime will probably end at its current hiatus because of the circumstances ( Crappy wording I know but trying to avoid spoiling even hinting : P) |

She, just like humans, is just trying to survive. Just like the two kids captured fish to survive, she captured them so survive. |

| man the chimera queen was creepy. the whole concept of eating for progeny was creepy. seeing the effects of her meals in the eggs was creepy. ants are creepy. im very impressed with this arc, and that it went there with the hansel and gretel eating. this series is awesome! these antagonists dont feel as dangerous as the phantom troupe, but they're better antagonists because you just absolutely want them all squashed. the repulsion is real. |

| Never tell your imouto you're gonna protect her in a show like Hunter x Hunter. Shit is a guaranteed death flag. I actually enjoyed the fact that in his supreme idiocy, Kurt did try to chase the Ant away instead of taking Reina with him and run the fuck away like he should have. Goes to show how limited and unrealistic such a promise can be sometimes. Apart from those very disturbing and creepy last few minutes, the episode was a bit on the boring side; but it did do its job at building up the whole conflict revolving around the Chimera Ants, so not much complaining. ps: anyone else lol'd at the random incest remark? |

| Biological Hunters are an interesting bunch. Those kids were so cute. That comment about marriage shows how innocent they were. I had a feeling that they'd die... That was awful, though! They were eaten. ;-; I already hate these Chimera Ants. They need to die. It sounds like the queen wants to start eating a lot more humans too. Ugh. |

| Very disturbing scene with the little boy and the girl being eaten by the Queen. Especially after the anime shows there life and what there like. You can help but feel sorry for them. |

| So the Chimera Ant queen = Cell, basically. Man, Togashi must have really liked Dragon Ball. Also, as soon as I saw some needless character progression on two kids while human-eating creatures roamed the countryside...well, let's say I called it. |
