| Awesome ep, seemed great. But the people who he just saved seem..not to happy. So, ungrateful bastards or what? That chick didn't seem to thrilled being saved like that..guess rape was better for her. But I could be wrong. Still .. wtf |

| Watch now they are gonna be all pissy with him cuz he destroyed the pirates, and completely ignore the fact that he wiped them out like he was taking a walk while they where overwhelmed. Hopefully they at least stop their delusional idea's about taking dismantling or destroying them lol. |

It basically restricts the amount of communication between the MC and all the other people, and forces each side to learn about each other only in piecemeal and limited manner. It also allows a bit of humor -- see how it describes a dried fish as a "corpse of a marine creature" lol. I especially enjoy that scene, which I find quite funny, and so is the scene when Amy learns that there is really nobody inside Chambers (though I can understand why all the adults still find it hard to believe). The idea of the "Galaxy Way" about electricity generation by marine microorganism is interesting. This kind of forces the fleets to keep traveling like some nomad. Though I have a feeling that this may also serve as some plot device for the story later. I laughed when Chamber said it was an underwater dead corpse XD So true, yet that sounds disgusting, no wonder Red didn't want to eat it. Both main characters seem to be very rational people, while everyone else is suspicious of Red, Amy isn't afraid, and Red is just waiting for someone to get his signal in space. As much as I am annoyed with the rest of the people for not believing Red, I think it's understandable. But wow at the weapon being able to so specifically differentiate between comrades and enemies, and then being able to vaporize them o_O That's one scary weapon. I also found the Galaxy Way to be a really interesting idea, not only that, but it looks beautiful. To me, for the most part of this episode, it definitely seemed like a healing type anime, but I don't know if that's the case. Like people said, it's Urobuchi's work...but it would be interesting if it headed that direction and he surprises us all by not writing a story that's within his usual niche. Anyways, this second episode was really good, I liked the first episode, but the second episode makes me even more interested in this anime. I forgot to mention the OP and ED! The OP was, well, very much like a generic anime OP, but it's not bad. I think it's nice ^^ The ED song is also very relaxing to listen to, the ED style also reminded me of Robotics;Notes second ED, which I liked very much. |

| Really liking the setting, concept, and visuals/production values here. Especially the setting... it's amazing to look at, has a great atmosphere to it, and I love creative settings like this. The language barrier still feels kind of weird to me with all the shifting between Japanese and the created language, though I do understand the awkwardness of trying to get around it, so I'll forgive this part of the show. Only two episodes in and I'm already quite enjoying it. I'm just waiting for something to really make this series stand out. |

| Freaking awesome. Honestly i was getting tired of how many mech anime there are this season and by how many of the follow close similarities with more famous mechca series such as Gundam Wing and Code Geass but this just blew that taught away and left a disappointing feeling of 'awww man this episode is over already' . If only i could see all the episode at once I would undeniably watch them all without any sleep. |

| So Gargantia now has a bit of a problem. Clearly Red and Chamber are overpowered and deadly, but there is nothing they can do about it since the mech is impervious to their attacks and is capable of acting on it's own, so even attacking Red will be useless. I guess the only thing left to do is to date him (oops, sorry, that's another show this season...). |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |
| I think it's time I declared this one a best of season candidate. Loved every minute of it, and I CAN'T FUCKING WAIT UNTIL WE GET EP3 >.< I think your assumtions are spot on - people will be afraid. Before it was "yeah, that mech is hightech, but we got him at gunpoint" Now it's "we are aiming our toys at it and they could just decide to sink the whole fleet in minutes and there's nothing we could do about it" I also expect amy to chew him out for the wholesale killing (she's spunky enough to do it <3), but she will also contemplate if it's her fault. Because, if you wanna scare the baddies away, send police or something. if you send a soldier who is trained for his whole life to kill stuff in the most efficient way.... this is what you get. Also, I liked how Chamber was floating instead of using a jet power engine. |
