Dropping this. Too much drama for me. I thought the drama was over after the last arc and that we'd focus on the romance but guess not.

Lol people hating on Taichi because of how awesome he is.

Doing Something > Not Doing Anything at all

And for god's sake people, everyone has flaws

Anyways this was a decent episode. Was hoping Taichi would catch on earlier though.

There's a balance between action and no action. Many male MCs don't have enough action and just let all the other characters cause him to take action. In Taichi's case, he's taking too much action. He's sticking his nose in every time someone has a frown on their face.

Probably the best episode of the show. It touched certain aspects that I loved, such as if it's "better to act or not to act". Amazing show.
I have my own anime blog. It's called Anime Viking. Hope you'll you read it!

Isn't that sort of the point, that he isn't perfect? Yeah, he's really intrusive about helping people, but that's what makes him an interesting character. I love how the characters in this show are refreshingly human, rather than mary sue-ish and annoying.

Anyway, Class Rep was great this episode. Poor Iori though :(

Taichi is such a jerk. He's like Touma but he doesn't have the Imagine Breaker to solve all his issues for him. Anyway, I loved the Mr. Go. He's such a cool teacher.

Goddamn it, Taichi, how about you start think about Nagase instead of hitting her, I still espect a fight between him and Aoki.

The teacher and Fujishima opened Taichi's eyes, not bad, give them more screen time.

I dont hate Taichi but I actually pity Aoki a lot. It is not like he didnt want to help his friends, but Taichi as a selfless freak got ahead of Aoki and went to help. Aoki actually is as good as Taichi, but he simply does not know what to do to help his friends and that´s why this is unfair. Even the girl he loves is being helped by Taichi, its so frustrating that everyone relies on Taichi´s "healing power" and discards Aoki.
Aoki is a main, yet he has no screen time. When the girls have a problem Taichi tries to solve them, but I never saw him trying to know what´s in Aoki´s heart. Also Taichi has 100% screen time, aka, we always see him in his room reflecting, his sister and his daily life.
Aoki? Nothing. He is so ignored by the director that it seems he is only brought up as plot device for Kiriyama. period.

I hope I can see Aoki developing. He deserves it.

This arc is getting even more serious, this time they are completely separate.

I can't wait to see what will happen in the class journey, even if in the preview seems that they are still in school, I don't know, I really didn't understand the preview.

Wow Taichi just really dont care about Aoki's feelings huh . He basically just called him a useless person without having an outburst of desire . And of course Nagase has to be the one to endure all the hardships when everyone just choose to run away . Thats why Nagase is the best !

I like how it's being ignored that Inaba was being a bitch.
Well maybe Aoki can do something besides trying to act like he's doing something. Poor Inori though

Decent episode, I felt bad for Iori. Thanks to some help from baloon vine Taichi realized he was doing the wrong thing. Now Inaba just needs to figure out the same thing because right now she's just being selfish.

I found this episode a bit... light compared to the others, even with the arguments and stuff. I kinda wished the scene when Iori got hurt was more serious, it'd be more... interesting.

Great episode 4/5 would've been a 5 if Taichi is sorry for hurting Iori. Maybe he is sorry, but we didn't really get to see him like, actually regret what he had done.

And Iori continues to be a strong character.. I admire Iori even more now. She isn't just the cute girl who boys should protect because she's a delicate or sensitive type kinda girl. She's even the one who actually WANTS to sustain the group. Unlike the others who keeps on running away from the problems. She got hurt, but still managed to wear a smile just so Taichi won't hate himself. After that she still has the guts to say "OHIO TAICHI" even though Taichi is distancing himself from her. She's the one who should be mad cause she was only trying to help the two and eventually got hurt in the process.

Though i think when it's the "breaking down" part. It's Iori who'll suffer the most because she's keeping all her emotions inside her. So when it's time she really feels the outburst and has to release all those thoughts and emotions. It'd be painful :( Hopefully it doesn't come to that.

Sadly, Her efforts are a tad undervalued? Based on what i've read here. :(

Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances.
He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter.
Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
A great episode about a spiral that stops with a light of hope and enlightenment. A little hard to explain in a short amount but a few thoughts around those ideas.

About the beginning, the start was really good in showing Inaba being depressed in the spoiler
and I truly picked up on that really quickly.

However what really shined out []b is in fact Inaba’s smile in the spoiler
now despite her depressed mood and my thoughts in terms of that facial being a Poker face, it was still nice to show it. For I find it suits Inaba a lot more than her gloomy side.

About my RAGE, oh nothing can express so much of it for the following,

TAICHI WTF MAN! WTF! Put it this way IRL or realistically if you may. Possible concussion to the brain in the form of a KNOT forming at a basic stage followed by at one point it tying and Iori ending up as brain dead or a vegetable by the knot blowing out and internal bleeding or stops oxygen/blood flow that is vital to the brain. It takes F ALL of the smallest shit to make it happen and it varies per person of how easy it is hence some boxers never even have anything like it. Suffice to say a person that’s more fragile than Iori could have had serious damage there.

I feared for Iori at that stage that she would bleed but I was glad of the spoiler
as it being minor. Still major risk factor of a internal concussion. So in regards to all that Taichi disappointed a lot for self control and quite disgraced the maleship of not hitting girls. I piss on you Taichi for that shit.

About Iori, OMG WHAT A LIGHT OF SUNSHINE! You can’t deny it with the following,

Put it this way after being hit by Taichi, after enduring the shit of the spoiler
concerning Inaba and getting a little sad of Taichi disposition towards her, she still SHINES! Just is happy and shows it out. That’s just WOW! I wish I met a person like that or with a outtake like that, which none of my friends had as a personality like Iori does. Iori showed she is like a phoenix that despite getting burned out regains light and is positive.

About thee end of the episode, first of all PROPS TO THE TEACHER! Straight through, for giving all that advice. The teacher is cool as himself and I had great vibes of goodness for his advice for Taichi which got him stage 1 wake up while Fujishima gave him stage 2 and the final one.

The last thing is Taichi’s last motto ”The best Defense is a Good Offense!” LOVE THAT! I use it all the time IRL. A personal favorite motto.

About the preview, here are the points I expect most of the next episode in order in the list.
  • Heartseed in the spoiler
and of all things in Inaba’s room! OH RAGE! SO MUCH RAGE! I hope he does nothing to her damn SOB! Oh I so want to erase him of existence! CURSE YOU HEARTSEED!

  • Seems Aoki will finally have his chance with Yui in the spoiler
hope he impresses as much Taichi did or more with Yui. HUG HER DAMN IT! HUG HER! That’s what I scream and hope for!

  • Iori looks good in the spoiler
be being back with Taichi. Looks positive.

  • While I wonder of the spoiler
and what will be up there with Taichi.

  • While Inaba in the spoiler
has a rather worried face and with Heartseed looming around it looks more worrisome.

  • Finally Aoki in the spoiler
looks much more positive and that sure is another good thing. He might be finally getting it together for himself.
That being said Heartseed worries me a lot for next episode and I wish I could be in the anime to kill him! I would so erase him still.

Not as emotionally charged as the last two episodes, but still a strong and solid episode.
Taichi's realization that he wasn't even controlled when he said those things to Aoki was something I did not expect.

We can also see the seeds of understanding that lead to the drifting apart of friendships, but in comes the class president with some advice and a kick to Taichi to moves things in the right direction.

When Inaba doesn't have screen time, episodes just aren't as strong =D

Let's not focus only on Iori's frustration but the other characters as well. I agree with you on that she's hurting, but logically speaking the person who is most hurt in the moment is Inaba. Inaba was the one who always had the group in stable with Heartseed's gimmicks, now that she has -falling- out, the group is falling apart. Iori is taking the lead on establishing the group again but is not coming the way it should. Yes, Iori is a strong character, but she's not hiding her feelings, she's actually exposing them in a confidence matter, a perfect example would be is: suggesting Inaba to stay in a group for the field trip; this choice of Iori shows that she's concern, in other words, she's not hiding that shows she's worry about the group. Another perfect example would be she's is still going to club; she has hope for the outcomes, she's a optimistic.

Now for Inaba, let's say she's the pessimistic as of now. Though, before of the second gimmick, she always saw the dark side view of the gimmick but still handle the group in a good way with her scolding, but now with the second gimmick she has hurt someone with her scolding in the wrong time and place; and atoning them by not facing anyone face-to-face, however she does not realize that it's just making matter worst ( ep 9 with Heartseed will prove us that theory). As the story shows us Inaba giving them the cold shoulder, and presenting that she doesn't care, well, she really does. I don't know what point of view you have on characters like her, or Inaba as the hurting character, but she's really having it hard. She's bottling up everything and pretending that she doesn't care so the rest of the gang just leaves her alone, she doesn't want to hurt anyone, like she did with Yui. She's taking responsibility with consequence leading to misunderstanding with the audience, and cast, with her actions. I don't know if you remember, but Inaba at the moment doesn't really trust no one ( mention in ep 4), meaning that she doesn't rely her feelings with no one and keeps it in, psychology causing stress to her. Also, I'd hope you notice she also dealing with -guilt- ( ep 6, hidden sexual desire unleashed) , in other words, her feelings for Taichi ? Don't you think that doesn't causes pain for her that she doesn't feel worthy for the guy, mentioning she has low-self esteem, also more pain for her that she likes her best friend's crush, even more reason to avoid them so it won't be unleashed. She really has a lot of crap in her hands and is not doing any good, you'll see how everything would break for her, but it'll come with good results, somewhat I guess.

Now in my last thought for Iori and Inaba, there's really no wrong and right actions there. If you strongly took the point of both of them, you'll see that they're both correct, but also, wrong. We just got to put their shoes for a sec, and try to feel what they're dealing with. But everyone is suffering, actually. Everyone.

I feel the same way. Inaba is best girl hands down, my friend.

I also cringed a little when Iori was slammed headfirst into the table.

I really felt that this episode was very dark compared to the other episodes. Not as much comedy as the other ones either.

Kokoro Connect is not actually a romanitc comedy xD Is not meant to be, more of a romanitc-drama? But for now not much of the romance is showing like it did with the other ones however it will, but the point of the gimmick is not romance, is the bond of these cast P: They'll break then get back up again XD

Oh, Iori, I know what happened with Taichi hitting her with his bag was just...So...hysterically funny..I mean, he put too much force in his bag ¬¬ But kinda broke my heart, since Iori...Well....She's trying her best.

But Kokoro Connect is nothing without Inaba :3

Im not hatin Taichi and Inaba till this episode,
lol Inaba is main char ? but her role is just for fanservice role
fujishima way better than Inaban

before I want to see Taichi x Iori pairing but now I decline, Iori is too good for Taichi,
selfish Taichi deserve selfish person too

so Taichi x Inaban is the best selfish couple
good luck Taichi , Inaban
you two ruin this show, oh wait at least you two good at fanservice talk so Im waiting for another ero chat, good luck :D

and abou Aoki, forever alone guy...being friendzoned, being ignored, even his close friend Taichi ( well I cant say for sure Taichi is Aoki's best friend or also Aoki's best enemy lol ) even Taichi stole Yui heart, can you imagine, when your close male friend knows who you loves and he always try to look cool and always helped your target girl, what you gonna feel ?

Taichi is not just selfish, but also have no consideration towards Aoki, what he care is only girls and girls...as long as he can helps girls, why not, and speaking about he always helping friends . .hello, he only wants to help girls only, not male friends like Aoki, so who still think Taichi is the good character then yeah, you are just the same with him

Even though it's hard to understand what you wrote....As Yui said before she only thinks of Taichi as a friend. Every one of them has problems, that's the point. There's a lot of over-looking with the viewers. Even though Taichi has been a lot of help, when it's revealed that he's being selfish by being selfless and got his desire released, he's become hated. When Inaba is being a bitch and had her desire released, it's passed over

Not trying to say she's useless, she's been great
Things are just backwards. Have to admit though Taichi did go off the handle
Well anyways, they all have their pros and cons and that's a good thing.

I don't know why, but for some reason I didn't enjoy this episode as much as some of the others. Nevertheless, it still gets a 4/5 from me.

is the lack of inaba my friend, lol

Lack of Inaba makes episodes much better.I was wondering why i enjoyed this episode even more than previous, now i get it.

-cough- read novels -cough- inaba is best -cough-

Well, that was an interesting episode. Without Inaba there to take charge, the rest of the group aren't sure what they should be doing, and there's a nasty struggle for dominance. Taichi thinks he should get to decide what to do because helping people is totally his thing, and Aoki doesn't like that because Taichi is hogging the spotlight, damnit! I found myself getting increasingly angry with the both of them, and was pleasantly surprised when Iori stepped in and voiced my own thoughts. ...Then she got assaulted for her trouble. And Taichi wasn't even unleashing his desires until he hit Iori. My GOD, he has really been getting full of himself lately.

- respect for Aoki and Taichi this episode for their pissing contest.
+ respect for Iori and Fujishima for being awesome ladies.

Fujishima is really starting to grow on me. Who would've thought that she's the one pushing Taichi in the right direction with her unique manner?
Frankly speaking, the second arc is so far even better than the first one (only slightly but still) and I'm looking forward to its conclusion. Judging by the preview it looks like Taichi's approaching his friends and starting to set things straight. Although Inaba's case might be the most difficult one since it seems that the whole unleashed desire dilemma hit her the hardest (arguably the same could be said about Yui but I think it's still Inaba who's suffering the most this time). 5/5 of course.

There is more to the world than the five of them.

That was especially true this episode, where we are reminded that besides the five of them suffering with their desires being unleashed, there is still a world out there that isn't affected. Watase, Fujishima & Gotou were used well as external advice to help Taichi really get out of his stump. This I believe makes it seem less that the world revolves around them since after all, only the five of them are affected.

I did feel that the rain made the episode more gloomy and all, but it suited the mood well enough.

A well done episode.

This episode was a bit slower, but in a good way. I was never bored since it maintained that same atmosphere that I love about the show. Plus it was a soft break from the heavy and tense drama that usually is on the show. Not to say it wasn't here, but it had more breaks I guess. The drama was again, beautifully written and realistically well-done. Looks like were seeing Heartseed interact more with Inaban and some Aoki and Yui action next episode.

This really is the show of the season. Not counting Yuru Yuri ofc, which is fabulous in its own ways.

Aoki more or less proved my theory that Taichi only looked out for the well-being of others from his perspective. He never cared to solve their core problems. Taichi's inexperience (I say dumbness) was wonderfully explained by Aoki and Iori: Taichi always rushes in without a second thought and very rarely has an understanding of what the problem really is.

"Inaba, you are always offensive but you can't stand it when other people are offensive to you."

Anyway, really good episode.

Man, tension is rising. Good to see Tachi getting set straight by the teacher and rep. We're not out of the woods yet, but things are looking up.

We'll be getting more Heartseed next time though! D:

I'm really kind of disappointed in Taichi now that I look back on some things. The fact is that he really does only care about helping people to the point where they "don't look sad anymore" and doesn't care for the deeper problems. It makes me feel like maybe he just wants everyone around him to smile so he can smile too :(

ugh Taichi. Step your game up so you can be back on my husband list!

This episode was kind of annoying. Their problem is nearly nonexistent and they're really overexaggerating everything. It's also frustrating to see Taichi ignoring Iori like that when she's clearly trying so hard to lighten up the mood and get them back together. I'm hoping for a better next episode.
