Well I was going to give this a 9 out 10, but I said fuck it and gave it a 10 out of 10. Loved it. Loved how they moved back into the big house, and I can't wait for a second season.

Good episode, bit rushed but nevermind

I think overall this series is 7/10 it was good but hasn't shown me anything that I haven't really seen before because of Usagi Drop which imo was alot better and not as rushed.

It's not really my thing to compare animes, but Usagi Drop did such a better job in the same topic. It was hard to know when this show was been serious or just trying to be another SoL/Com.

6/10 - Never really found it funny or sad.

well this one series really quite really worth my watching it.

indeed time to tell hina about the parents & well drama emotion crying come in on it.
sora on swing here nimura to check on sora give also mention of yuuta & raika.
walking on rain 3 sisters with hina look ok give miu mention hina promise bunny that hina won't cry anymore.
sora still hmm on letter seeing yuuta heading out so follow yuuta on cemetery.
with sora assume yuuta might but relax yuuta want all 3 to stay.
oh here aunt & glasses famliy member here to say yuuta & 3 sisters can stay together.
yet the aunt said it "atonement" from 15yrs ago after all ok.
some walk then talking mention yuuta's sister leading back yuuta's parents days.
when yuuta's sister arrive as mother-father-brother-grandfather-grandmother & sister.
after recalling that yuuta got idea while hina is drawing something.
yuuta & sora enter Street Observation Research Society when yuuta mention raika saying & that i'm their father.
raika said the hat is correct so next one yuuta ask raika to be wife?! yea the hat said yes.
parents day for hina with hina bit might be sad but here yuuta with raika-wife, sora, miu & everyone for hina.
more twinkle star (indeed it's like arc words) after parents day done all ok.
now for cake give yuuta got lock-out like fred flintstone with doing wilma-saying on CAKE!!!
all wrap up & now moving back to 3 sisters house.

oh my indeed really give this is truly those must-watch anime to watch yea if even pull a s2 squee myself for it & hey pull a raika's spin-off series (of course i know there those who want it) & yet i know if also get english dub thank you very much indeed.

overall this is really worth it to watch.

The series ended the way I hoped it would.

I was always of the belief as soon as I saw the letter that said "We'll take all three of the girls in" that if they were willing to do that, why not simply give Yuuta a bit of aid. Whether it be financial or move them into a bigger place, it seems they would probably have done both which I indeed commend them for. It was just as well Sora tailed Yuuta to his sister's grave. I'm not sure how it would have went had she not.

I give the series an 8/10 altogether, it was quite a touching story and at least things will be looking up for them all a fair bit now they are back in their old family house.

Such a touching ending; really heartwarming anime; lol at the wife question and Raika's answer XD, lol Sora got no chance against that awesome weird chemistry :P Really would want a Season 2 or OVA, it was a good surprise and a enjoyable watch, it really showed the value of family, both the negatives of it and the positives, and in that sense it did even better than i could have hoped for :D

I'd rather they didn't shout the title in the end.
Pretty cheesy and kind of ruined the mood.

Otherwise, decent show.

As I said in my other comment on an another topic, why does this season have to be so good.A lot of lovable anime.I think this has been the best season in quite a while.lovable anime.

Now coming to Papakiki.A perfect mixture of fanservice & story.Lol,when Yuuta said to Raika to be his wife,I thought he was proposing her & I was thinking I feel bad for Sora but it was only for one day or more like one afternoon.Everyone was great esp. Miu,my fav. although I think Yuri-san should had more time. She seemed quite a lovable big sis from the flashback but anyways...Perfect ending for a perfect anime,10/10.Can't cut any marks.I loved it.

Poor Hina :< But still, she recovered way too easily, especially for a little child.

Other than that, pretty good ending to a decent series.

She's not really "recovered" i think any one will tell you that lost a parent when they were young that the real tiers came later. Because she's child she was able to move on easily

i understand everyone's happy about a happy ending and all that, but realistically(not like it matters) none of those present problems went away...they're still financially and mentally exhausted

Financially probably but they're getting help from the other relatives now (so it implies) and them being exhausted was because of the distance from Yuuta's apartment to the schools so they had to wake up super super early and do speed runs to school but now that they moved back closer it shouldn't be much of an issue.

The part where he asked Raika to be his wife took me by surprise he has more guts that i thought after all.

The episode was pretty touching with a happy end.
Was sad when they told Hina that her parent's aren't around any more something like that is very hard to tell especially to a child.
And it hit her pretty hard.
The parent day part was also very touching so many people coming out to see Hina.

I don't like the balance of touching moments to ecchi moments, and trying to pull both at the same time.
Like at the singing recital...Hina looking at everyone who showed up and then the little boy next to her says "she's got big boobs".

Miu was a total brat too.
Opening the curtain when Sora is changing and constantly trying to push her onto Yuuta.

Yumekichi11 says the manga is more ecchi. Then it's my fault for watching this in the first place.

Well that was a surprisingly enjoyable ride. The beginning was a bit shaky - I thought it would've been a cliched ecchi drama, but it turned out to be better than that.

Judging from the ending, I guess he's now getting financial support from the uncle/aunt? Sounds a bit extreme to go back to that huge house, but it's an anime - not meant to mimic reality.

Raika in the future of mangas sadly becomes a slut for Yuuta's ecchi/hentai fantasies going as far as doing the cream for cum on her shit. That sadly is having a negative effect on its fans that complain of the show catering too much towards the ecchi fandom where it should stay for family viewing whom the BDs did their best to do with no nipples added. I will try to find the link for the proof but I saw it.

What the fuck? Care to elaborate? Wtf is "doing the cream for cum on her shit" mean?

Well good to know they actually toned down the ecchi - it shouldn't have really been there in the first place. It already has a solid story.

Good ending for a series, hope for a season 2 now since i dont think this series did badly and there aren't any haters(at least not any that i know of).

P.S. You know i just realized a problem. So now that they're back to their old house, does that mean that now Yuuta have to wake up early and take a 1/2 hour train ride to and from his university?

]So the ending doesn't imply a second season [It said Bye Bye in the last artwork scene] however it does show them moving to the original house, could they continue from where the novel left off. From what I heard the anime (all 12 episodes) basically covers only the first volume of the novel, if thats true were missing ALOT.

I gotta agree about that end. I'm hoping they continue for a second season with the other novels. I may have gotten bored sometimes, but overall it was a great and emotional series to watch through. I never read the novels so I'm not sure on what we're missing exactly. Hoping for a season 2 though; If not it's a nice end :).

8/10 for me.

Me 2, I don't think that it is possible that a season 2 would be around.

Btw, it's really a nice ending that the kids where able to go back to theri real home.

A solid 8 on this series (and I'm still toying with whether or not to raise that to a 9). Epic proposal scene between Raika and Yuuta--he really is the only one who can totally understand her and that's why I think they should end up together. If there was a second season I think it would have to deal on how Sora's crush is resolved (I'd suggest waiting till she finish high school and then go after Nimura who has been giving the girls good advice and support all season). If they don't do a season two, this will serve as an incentive to keep learning Japanese so I can start reading source light novels.

A very sweet and cute series. I enjoyed it a lot. I give it a 9/10.

I am however, interested to see if the mom and dad did make it from the crash alright. So it makes me wonder for a season 2 or not. In any case, I really liked the series.

It's a shame that Kurumi wasn't in there very much. She was hot. And all the girls seemed to really like her, so it makes me wish Yuta liked her.

Anyway, I hope for a season 2 in the future!

When I began watching Papakiki I thought It would be cliché harem anime full of fanservice and misunderstandings It really surprised me it wasn't like that!, 10/10 and I wouldn't mind a second season :)

The new spin off with Raika and Yuuta:
http://www.mangatank.com/manga/papa-no-iukoto-wo-kikinasai-chronicles-of-street-observation-research/c4/9
it totally changes things. If they don't input it with S2 then fine but if they do it's going to bad IMO. It will be too muc ecchi. Just a fear of S2 and that Raika is being more slutty in her presentation in that spin off. As much as I like seeing some ecchi stuff, Raika being a mother figure and all does not really make me fit her as the spin off does. That's all I will say to elaborate but you can't deny that after seeing the spinoff.

Yep. Just as people say, Yuri's appearance was too touching. If I was Yuuta at that time, I might not be able to hold my tears.

The end where Yuuta, Miu, Sora, Yuuta's friends and the villagers appear where so touching!

8/10 for the series.

Regarding what we see in the last couple of minutes as the credits are rolling and the four seem to be moving back into the house...

I browsed through a translation of the first two light novels (not manga, light novels, which, by the way, didn't seem to have much, if anything, in the way of 'adult' content) and what I got from it was that Sora inherits the property and stuff as the eldest, but it's in a trust held by the older Uncle. The Aunt is the guardian of the girls until Yuuta becomes old enough to legally do so himself - she admonish him that if he fails this time she'll take the girls away. Basically, Yuuta gets to live in the house for free and commits to take care of the girls. I'm not sure if he keeps any part time jobs, but he comments that not needing to pay rent will lighten his burden considerably. Yes, he'll have a rough commute, but it's FAR better that he be the one with the long commute than the girls. (I worked a job for 2 and a half years where a good day was 90 minutes one way - my current job is only 55 minutes away).

Oh, the light novels made a point that it was the Aunt that did most of the arguing for the four of them to be able to move back into the house, the uncle was not for it but agreed to allow them to do so because she argued so strongly for it. Yuuta is told this and realizes he's been to harsh in seeing her the way he did earlier.

Amazing and tear jerking end! I cried when they told Hina that her parents would never be coming back. I could never imagine myself telling a little child that. Took a lot of courage for Sora to tell Hina.

Also I loved the fact that Yuuta kept the girls after all. I thought Yuuta was serious when he asked Raika to be his wife.

Hina's performance was so powerful and cute. Glad that the whole town came together and was there for the Hina when she needed it most. I wish this would get a 2nd season.
