| I'm - confused. Is this movie still going ahead? I know it was rumoured to be out in 2OO9, but now I'm hearing 2 stories ; one being that the movie was cancelled due to disagreements, and the other being that it's once again on hold till 2O11. Anyone heard any news on this? I'm beginning to think the same as Anomalous here and that it might never come out, and this makes me sad as it's a beautiful story, and I'd love to see it updated :'( I guess I'll wait to see if it gets released |

| I would anticipate a re-adaptation to the series honestly. With anime like Megalobox (a reinterpretation of Ashita no Joe), Dororo, Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu, Fruits Basket, etc etc etc, there's a good chance that this could be redone. |

| Well, that was a hell of a hunt to find the trailer, seemingly all the torrents are dead, and all that's left is the singular camrip of the trailer. Oh well. First thoughts, the animation actually looks really good, and the art style is a near carbon copy of the original 1979 anime art style, just very prettied up. That trailer music is super good, and it's just a little sad that this likely will never come out. I actually teared up a little seeing the reanimated scene of Oscar in her dress. Even if it was just a complete retread of the TV series, crunched down to movie length, I would still be more than happy to watch it. |
