Man, i almost shed a tear, but i'm glad this whole time travel thing is over, i guess there's one lesson that Okabe learnt: Never EVER mess with time, cuz it's gonna f*** you up so bad you'll wish you haven't.
EXACTLY! That is the exact thing! Same applies to occult and spirit stuff. Don't fuck around or it will do that to YOU! Yes you whoever you are that dares to play around as God.

Most people that played God in anime in thee end died or realized they are shit. Looks like Okabe did that with time and the despair he showed certainly cannot be denied. While most super forces like the God of Saturn, citing a mythical example, would not give a fuck to Okabe until he returns all.

Now we might have an Okabe that had been blessed with the fruits of his achievements of getting back everything to normal. Should they do this right, Makise should be alive and we should have a culprit caught but whether it will be like the VN or not remains to be seen.

IMO I want a BIG BANG action fest or something like that for the ED. Director show me you can be more amazing than the VN! Show me! Not going to happen? HAHAHA! He is in control and we are not so let's hope for the best in this case. That's all I will say.

After all that suffering, now world war 3 has to be prevented...Seems like a giant loop hole to me since no matter what he does someone has to either die or many others have to die.

The ending just came out of nowhere and before Okabe went back to the Beta line and Kurisu came back, i was like are you kidding me...so close to crying since it was sad farewell, for now i guess?

Existence is observation anyway. Something exists because something is able to observe that(ex; schrodinger's cat). So yes, for Okabe and for his unique gift, only one universe exists at time, however from universal point of view, where the infinity of time happens at once, they all both exist and do not exist at once.

I like the way you think.

Anyway, just because I saw some discussion of Robotics;Notes earlier, to clear up confusion the divergence shown in the trailer is the "Steins Gate" divergence: 1.048596% In other words, the Beta world line. I don't know the true ending of the VN so I can't comment on the difference between the Steins Gate world line and the current world line of the anime.

Hey Mage,

Usually when I'm referring to Robotics;Notes, I'll just simply say it picks up where Steins;Gate left off.

All I know about it is that it's the divergence shown in the R;N trailer and that it's referred to as the "Steins Gate" world line. I don't know anything else about it.

Quite a surprising episode. I didn't expect that kind of romance in this anime. And I couldn't imagine Okarin as the guy to confess like that. But yes, it was obvious that Kurisu had a thing for him.

The WWIII thing was very random and what can they do in only 2 episodes? I guess it will leave things for the VN...

Not-so-deep inside Okabe is strong-willed, confident person who isn't afraid to speak his mind or do what has to be done to get what he wants. Personally, I think his relationship with Mayuri has given him a sense of responsibility to her that's caused him to become the sort of shut-in that he is when we first meet him. After all, he has several friends who look to him as a leader figure, and that definitely isn't because they truly believe him to be a mad scientist fighting an Organization that controls the world from the shadows.

Very true.

Some people think Okabe is a wimp but honestly, what would you have done to save someone very close to you? If you decide not to give up, then don't expect it to be so easy to save them. You can tell how heartbroken and cold he has become from all these events yet he's able to hold himself up although appearing to be "pathetic" (as some will say). He doesn't even have anyone to lean on besides Kurisu. But even she can't really begin to understand his level of pain and how much the memories of Mayuri constantly dying haunts him.

The fact is, Okabe will soldier the storm until the very end - even if he is filled with anguish and despair. That's why I think he's a great character.

OMG. That was an awesome episode. It felt happy, sad and the end shocking as hell. I totally did not expect that. World War 3 and another Suzuha. That puts me to think and the pieces that don't match on episode 1 are starting to come together.

First Episode before D-mail was sent = Current World Line
-Kurisu pulls Okarin and aks him what what was he trying to tell her with that worried look 15 minutes ago.
-Metal Oppa disappears.
- Okarin notices Suzuha at the roof with her time machine. Time machine can only travel backwards. Suzuha waves at him.
-Metal Oppa goes missing.
-Weird static screen at Okarin's cellphone.
-A male scream is heard.

With the male scream, Kurisu knowing him even thought its their first meeting, suzuha waving at him and no d-mails to revert makes it pretty obvious what's going to happen. Something caused WW3 on episode 1. The time leap machine no longer exists with Kurisu's death and Okarin has sent the D-mail Microwave away. There is only one machine left to prevent WW3. Suzuha's time machine. The time machine can only travel backwards in time.

The title of the first episode is called "Prologue to the Beginning and End "

Good observation and thinking, now all we have to wait for is the conclusion. Off that record the kiss scene was extremely satisfying but it was spoiled to me before I was able to watch the episode by some complete ass making his avatar an animated GIF of Kurisu and Okarin kissing. All I wanted to do was browse the forum to see what's what and that assholes avatar popped up. So when I saw the scene finally come into fruition it was awesome for us Kurisu fans but still had me pissed knowing it was coming. :/

Of course, he is using actions over words and that's what is interesting. Through the anime we have seen him to 'evolve' in a way. But I was glad that it was Kurise the one who he loved - At first I thought that he would have some romantic interest in Mayuri but thanks goodness it was only love as a friend.

I'm still trying to process my emotions from this episodes. ;_; sorry, anyways near the end when Mayuri says "Okarin, it's all right... You don't to talk like that anymore... Mayushii is okay now... So you can cry for yourself, Okarin." and based on Okabe's reactions, could this be some indication that Mayuri vaguely remembers what happened in the Alpha worldline? If not, could someone fill me in. From memory I don't remember anything wrong with Mayuri in the Beta worldline for her to respond in the above way.

Mayuri is referring to Okabe's mad scientist persona. He created this mad scientist - hostage relationship to protect and cheer up Mayuri when they were young. After all these years, Mayuri is glad that Okabe is at her side. She can feel Okabe's pain when he gives that speech, so she tells him that he can stop forcing himself because she's okay now, and he can cry if he's sad. Hououin Kyouma is officially DEAD.

Don't know if someone already asked this: but does anyone know the divergence number on the world line they kissed?

Im >so< making a tatoo.

EDIT:

was checking the youtube for something and i found this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D66Lhu-Mtpc

If you follow the numbers, it appers to coincide with the ones shown at the show. Looking at the one from ep 18 (0,523307) and this one from ep 22 (1,130205), theres a number (0,571046). I belive thats it, since it also shows twice, as okarin dmailed a second time in the same world line after mayushii was ran over by a car saving him.

I just want to make sure, since i intend to carve my flesh with it xD

I loved it. Okarin and Kurisu finally acknowledged their emotions each other and kissed. I was happy to see it but felt very sad.

The last 1 min made me wonder. Still not finished? Suzuha is alive? World War III?

I hope to see Kurisu again in last two episodes!

Remember people, We're on the Beta World Line now, anything that happened in the Alpha Line does not always happen in the Beta.

Suzuha Alive isn't strange. So in the Beta Line, she never had to go to the past to get the IBN5100. But she has a different mission now, to Stop World War 3.

It's honestly such a painful sight to see Okabe try and talk the way he did before in his mad scientist tone, as a way to try and cope with what just happened.

His VA did an amazing job. You can hear his voice waver, yet hear the strength in it to remember those before.

This episode was perfect! When I saw that hug I felt like I was in 9th cloud but then I got TWO kiss scenes + confession. When ending started I was in tears... Can't wait for more!
Also, I just remembered something. I'm not sure but John Titor also had the same ability as Okarin. That would explain why Suzuha was calling herself Hashida Suzu even after her D-mail was canceled.

Considering Okabe's handling of the rest of his harem I don't think he'd kiss her even if he disregarded the he/she dilemma. The only two girls he seems to show any sort of attachment for are Mayuri and sort of Kurisu. The rest ended up friend-zoned.

You're right. Guess I'm gonna have to join the OkabexMayuri bandwagon

You chose the wrong wagon. If the story tellers let a romantic relation be created(or at least a kiss before death and things like that) then it can only be with Kurisu.

Feyris is clearly friend zone.
Suzuha is on dead zone.
Moeka is on "the-bitch-works-for-Sern-and-never-talks" zone.
Ruka is on friend and "i-can't-forget-she-was-a-he" zone. Not to mention she's going back to the male thing.
Nae is on, "Wtf, you sick bastard she's a child" zone,
AND in the end Mayuri to the disappointment of many is clearly on the "i love her like a little sister" zone.

It was the first time i was so excited with two characters kissing. They are so perfect together.
Damn hope he manages to save her somehow and they can get marry. The way she told him to give her his coat so she can fix it was another wife moment.

So cute standing on her toes to reach him and kiss.

It seems last two episodes will be action packed with this WWIII plot.
Damn awesome and sad episode this was. Sten's-Gate is going for a 10.

Both Okabe and Kurisu thought they were preventing a worldwide disaster (i.e. SERN's dystopia) by returning to the Beta world line. None of them could've possibly known that the Beta world line would result in World War III.
