Why would you watch a 25min summary of an 114 episode show? Skip the Asgard filler arc and it's already a bit shorter (~80ep). It may not be a great show, but the first 8eps were actually enjoyable. Give it a try, ask someone who watched it and isn't a fan etc.

I was going to watch the summary for the sake of brevity. I have a little habit of watching compilation movies first to see if I'll like a show. For instance, after watching the Pailsen Files movie, I decided that it was interesting enough to make me plan to go back and watch all 13 OVAs. But now that you mention it, 80 episodes doesn't really sound that bad, so I might as well just watch the whole thing.

Does anyone know if Ochame na Futago RAWs exist? I'm watching the dubbed version currently and it's pretty good. Thought about subbing it if I manage to find the RAWs.

Eh biff, calm down or I'm going to use the fire hose on you :)

I exactly think like konnakude. Rare animes stays so because a circle of VHS providers decide so by maintaining overly high prices. They reserve it for a wealthy elite, that's why it's condemned to be endlessly underground.
Business, indeed, is ok. Not extortion.

I kinda experience the same problem whenever I'm searching for rare, fun-packed bad movies in priceminister. Some sellers propose their products up to 300 euro, while it remains per se a low quality length not really worth it. Speculation is a flail for any folk of the hobby. Leave this shit for Wall Street, not intellectual properties.

Justice is sharing rarities at a reasonable price with someone who has the means to widely spread it afterwards. It's either that or the works effectively disappear decades after~

To put it simply, rare anime VHS tapes on Yahoo Japan's auctions are rather heavily contested; believe me, I know that first hand trying to bid on them myself.

Unfortunately, that is a consequence of what we enjoy... we have to eat the costs.

Sorry, but I don't quite understand what you mean, sir. Is that what you call overly high prices:?
Kennosuke-sama ¥70 ($0.89)

Kakkun Cafe ¥100 ($1.27)

Rokudenashi Blues (1992) ¥100 ($1.27)

Magical Taruruuto-kun Movie 3 - Sukisuki Takoyaki! ¥150 ($1.91)

That's what I'm doing. But what in result, hate & contempt, ignoring & provocation? Seems like people similar to Konnakude can't uppreciate things that they getting for free, so doesn't it make some sense to ask for something in exchnage? Maybe I'm wrong, but there's definitely some logic in it.

It's flame against all these crooks who have the presumptuousness to call themselves sellers.

If I count the shipping fee, InactiveX, your price are more than reasonable. I'd myself be tempted to buy it; I can't afford it because I don't know what to do with all this stuff. I'm out of the fansub circuit since antediluvian times.

Sorry, couldn't reply due to my internet connection was broken for 3 days.

Let me see... Honestly, I don't get the point why you got so upset with me expressing my opinion. I think that you're mixing two different things: one thing is to sub some rare anime as a part of a fansub and thereafter offer to everyone enjoy it gratis and thus to be able to share the happiness of watching something that was never subbed before; the other side if you purchase the same anime from some auction for your own needs and after the purchase ask the people to pay you if they want to see it.

I am an editor and Q/C of Saitei fansubs and for me and for my group it's quite incomprehensible and unimaginable to ask the viewers to pay, say for each new episode of Tokimeki Tonight. We are doing the subs not for payment but to bring joy to the viewers. It's this I meant when I said that I'm repelled by this kind of business with rare anime. We have some "donate" button but during all those years we've received 10$ and were quite shocked that someone really donated as we never asked for that.

I personally have got a lot of help with rare anime files from the members of Oldies club and none of them have ever asked me or anyone else here for any payment.

"And stop watching my releases, miss, unless you wanna be officially called "hypocrite"!"
I thought that I might be called hypocrite if I would have declared that I never pay for some release and still will be doing that. Or I would tell that I refuse to watch ARR releases because of what you write. As I've never said anything like that and never payed anyone for the rare files or asked to be paid for TL, or paid for any of ARR releases (I actually ddl them for free on BakaBT) - I don't get how I may be "officially hypocrite".

PS. And, please, discard calling me "miss". It's absolutely irrelevant in this matter and using it your way in a sentence feels like you're using it only to put me down. My forum pic may be Ranze but actually that doesn't mean I'm a female. BTW, my usual pic on MAL is frog. So if you don't like to use "man", "dude" and so on, you can just call me "frog". :P

Hey miss konnakude, beware of your sudden push of oestrogens, too ! ;D

Half seriously let's bury the hatchet, we've had enough of arguing;
why not call it a day ? InactiveX perhaps runs his business to have enough money to buy new animes to watch. It's not necessarily wrong to advertise it so. In any case, we're our own judges, it's up to us to see if it's good offers or pure and simple extortion. The most diplomatic move would have been to ask by PM one of the club's officer whether it's allowed to post it. Supposing the topic's only about free links to shows...

I personally dislike the idea to sell rarities; I got on my shelves a very rare ancient compilation about forgotten french songs from the 15th to 19th centuries, with scores embedded. I'd gladly donate it to any organization (be it a library or a conservatoire of music) if I was given guarentee it's not simply going to gather dust in a corner.

Hello there, almighty!

Sorry, for having a PMS... :P
My thoughts exactly! You want to make money with rare anime - do it on your site! Or ask people to PM you, so not everyone in the club can read it and thus express the opinion about it.
And I was just explaining my standpoint cause I missed all the heated discussion due to my being without the internet connection because of some disturbance at my ISP company.

Sincerely yours,
official hypocrite

There has to be something with your settings in utorrent or you're unlucky and the seeders are not giving the torrent with much speed. BakaBT is always a good place for download though. Check it out if you haven't done so far!

That's because the movie is a compilation movie from the remake series from '78 and not a compilation movie from the original '73 series, but that you must already know.
The differences are not that many though and I would recommend always watching the available '73 series before watching the '79 movie.
