Worst Type of Censorship
| Censorship, no one likes them. Everybody hates them. But we have to live with it especially when the Blu-Ray/Uncensored Version of the anime isn't out yet. Enough said, there are many types of censorship out there in anime. But which type of censorship is the worst? |

| Not sure if this is Oppai Deletus, but one i hate is when they airbrush over a character's cleavage. (A character shows cleavage but they draw over it with the same color as her skin to erase the cleavage. |

| Oppai Deletus is best type, that's for sure. I guess shadows are the worst. Dark ecchi scenes are stupid to begin with, I want to properly see the girl after all. Lmao that mosaic. |

| Nothing worse than just cutting stuff out. If the creators had a vision and it wasn't cut for anything other than maybe disrupting the flow of narrative... nah. Show whatever it is as it was meant to be shown. |
| Lazy Pixelataion-oppai deletus-kiss cencorus. Those who made it to EP 5 of world’s End Harem on cruchyroll are the real chads. Seriously, in a medium known for it’s intense sexual themes removing it is just wrong… It’s like removing the action scenes in a superhero movie because some people (fictional) got hurt. |

| lazy pixelation if you use Crunchyroll because you're paying for literal garbage. if you sail the high seas, it doesn't matter because you can just look for the uncensored version once it's available. but lazy pixelation is still the most jarring form of censorship. |

| The worst is probably cuts if they keep the screen to black. Other than that I do not like fog taking over like Persona 4 is happening. |

| Full screen blinding light, R-15 was one of the worst offenders of this, especially since it lacked AT-X uncensored at the time. Most recent examples of this tend to have an uncensored broadcast available. |

That JJBA censorship wasn't done by CR. It aired that way on Japanese TV due to broadcast rules about showing tobacco use. Same with the "lazy pixelation" that some have ignorantly accused CR of doing on World End Harem, as well as the light beams / shadows / etc. on other ecchi and violent anime. CR and other legal streaming sites show the materials they receive from Japan -- contrary to popular misbelief, they don't have Departments of Censorship and Moral Rectitude to alter the animation, nor would they have the time to do so on a weekly simulcast schedule. In the case of "heavy ecchi" shows like World End Harem, Interspecies Reviewers, Highschool DxD, Freezing, Dragonar Academy, and others, there are sometimes two broadcast versions: the premium "less-censored" version on AT-X, and a more-censored general broadcast version. In most cases, overseas streaming sites get the general broadcast version, due to AT-X's contracts to be the sole broadcaster of "the good stuff." Bootleg streaming sites and other illegal sources that don't have to deal with laws and contracts may have the AT-X version, of course. In short, instances of "pirated version is uncensored, legal version is censored" for modern, non-kids' anime are a case of "correlation is not causation" -- that censorship isn't being done by the legal site in question. |
