Really shows what the human villagers have become, killing their own kind because they thought they were traitors. Ridiculous.

the villagers are kind of out of control but really? no sympathy for Shiki. to think if Ozaki could have convinced them earlier the shiki could have been exterminated with a lot of lives saved. they should ONLY be killing shiki but the hypnosis thing is hard to believe. this is mob mentality though and a fight for survival. if they didn't start fighting back the shiki would have killed everyone.

Tohru and Ritsuko seem dead .... again without meeting up with Natsuno. somewhat disappointing. did the Shiki stop when they murdered all those people? sorry but Sunako should NOT live. she's killed hundreds over the years I'm sure and just kept it up. still can't believe there's only one episode left.... with a lot of questions.

where the hell is Natsuno ? will he fight Tatsumi? isn't Tatsumi strong enough to do anything?

why did Seishirou kill the other werewolf? is he going to do anything?

will that stupid freaky Masao die already? owned by his own sister.

where's Megumi? did she escape or will she meet Natsuno?

whatever happened to Kaori and Akira?

they shouldn't of killed the monk's family as they were innocent but I'm glad that coward shiki loving monk is going to die.

I want Sunako, Nasuno, and Megumi to survive.
And I thought by this point Toshio would be alittle more lenient, god damn.

Also, the older brother had a split personality? Didn't see that coming :p

Only female villagers seems to be enjoying the situation. lol
Sunako in a bag is so pedo. lol
I think the preview already show barbarian guy holding Sunako's neck
and about to penetrate her heart. Now only Tatsumi is left to help Sunako. Everybody else is just ordinary zombies. Megumi doesn't look like she'll help her.

It was heartbreaking.Hope the fat nurse dies in a fire or something.
Actually,I really want a 'KillEmAll' ending. It'd be really fitting for Shiki.
Also,Tatsumi is really devoted to his loli.At this point,he's probably my favorite character.

People hate Shiki because they kill human like us.
(I can understand them at least)

People hope their favorite Shiki make it alive and wish for the rest died.
(I have no idea what is in their mind)

People that can only see that villagers were only doing what was supposed to be done.
(I really don't want to say it)

The death of Seishin's relatives, though, is entirely Seishin's fault.

ariapokoteng said:

Again, Seishin's relatives' case is dfferent. Like I said, Seishin did this to them.

So, is it wise to put the ENTIRE blame of Seishin's family massacre on Seishin and not on the villagers that did it? Did the villagers have some kind of moral immunity in your mind?

So, let's say your parents murdered one of my relatives. Then, do I have the right to say that I can kill you because of what your parent did? And there is absolutely no blame on me, really? You deserved it? I don't think putting 100% the blame on Seishin is logical.

The moment Seishin entered his house is the moment he dragged all its inhabitants into the bloodbath.
Villagers have become "hunters". You can say that they are "out of their minds". They can't think properly, thay can only react, because otherwise there's a good chance you get a bullet in your head or a pair of fangs in your neck.
Seishin's family didn't know he's home, and because of that it looked like they're covering for him. And for villagers that ment they were shikis allies, an enemy. And any sign of hostility would be enough for the "hunters" to kill them.
I'm not saying that whichever side is "right" or "wrong". Neither of them is.
But the one who brang hunters to Seishin's house is Seishin himself. You could expect that his relatives might get hurt as the result.
The moment Seishin entered his house was the moment he was being to naive to still put his trust on human.

You use the words "out of their minds" to back the villagers and push the responsibilities on Seishin alone?

Now lets say, there was a hot girl on a night street and there was a man who couldn't control himself after seeing the hot girl on the street and he ended up rapping her after that. Now the man in question told you, as the Judge, that the girl was the one who caused him committed the crime. So what are you going to do now as Judge? Who was the one that was wrong, the man who committed the crime or the girl who was the cause of the crime?

In the manga it was explained that Tatsumo broke into her house and kidnapped her to throw her in a cell with Ritsuko because they were friends and it was punishment to Ritsuko for not drinking blood

- R.I.P. kanemasa wolf-girl.
- Masao's sister , please don't fail even at killing that your wimp of a brother-in-law !
- The villagers got used to kill , it was awesome at the beginning but now they're just pathetic pieces of dung thinking they are "justice".
- Sunako , i hope the villagers won't find you but seeing that big spot of blood there's no way in hell you have a chance ...
- Please let Megumi live ... she was an average human but an awesome shiki.

I think Ookawa's group need to be taken out. I can't blame the good doctor for people going completely bonkers and killing normal people, but they're just getting out of hand. Still believe Sunako is the villain here, none of this would have happened if she just died in the past. They keep trying to bring this idea up that she's strong and persistent and some white knight vampire but she is totally the cause of all the current suffering in the village.

This episode was awsomeness *o*

Well the beginning was very shocking, I didn't expect the villagers to drink tea and eat onigiri with all the dead shikis around them... that's kinda cruel D: This is not a game.

I think it's only natural that the shikis need to kill humans in order to live, it's just like us humans have to kill animals to feed ourselves.
But everything that are dangerous in the humans' eyes have to be killed in order for them to live in peace.

The shikis shouldn't have the intention of changing the whole village into shiki from the very beginning. If they had think it throughly, it would have been better to kill as many humans as they need. Humans don't go around and kill every animal that gets in their way.

The situation is escalating, the villagers don't care if their enemies are shikis or rather traitors or the bitten ones, who are controlled by the shikis. They are living in fear, they don't know whom to trust, so I think I can quite understand them. I don't know if I would have acted that way, too, but there is always a possibility because you have to kill in order to survive.

Sunako is disgusting me. She is blabbering all the time about being scared of dying. How about thinking of the humans? They have to die because they are her meals. It's great that she talks about the stuff that she knows exactly how wrong it was for her to kill so many people but if it's about her dead, she's scared? Sunako are you kidding me? If you dare to kill, then you should also think about being killed in return, lol.

The Monk is disappointing me from the very beginning of the show. Whether killing the shikis or the humans, both is neccessary in order for both to survive, so he has no right to say, that the humans are totally wrong. Kinda ridiculous and cowardly, his behaviour.

I'm looking forward to the last episode... hopefully there will something unexpected happen ;D

can someone explain me why wolf girl got shot like that?

I kinda like this ep, it really showed how far ppl is willing to go for their own survival.
I feel bad for sunako, but then again she started the fight the moment she decided to kill people from that village. What she expecting to retribution if discovered? yes they need to eat and they are only trying to survive, but they cant complain if their food starts to fight back.
The Monk is pathetic, he got his family dead the second he decided to hide on the temple. His father got murder by the shikies and a lot of the villagers as well, where all this compassion for sunako comes from? he is bleeding to death and he is still being naive.
huh?

Seishirou Kirishiki shot the female Jinrou because Natsuno bit him in the arm, controlling him so that he is now against his own side.

wow what a flurry of replies. great to see so many people appreciating the masterpiece that is Shiki (i'm a bit new here and where i am, i know no one who watches shiki...). i think this ep builds up the perfect mood going into the last ep. i've got the feeling that most of the major players in the anime are going to die in 1 way or the other... but i think it's fantastic that the writer has managed to twist the story 180degrees and portray both parties as despicable in their own way. it forces viewers like us to choose a side, which is also a cardinal theme in this anime, that no side is ever truly the "good" or "right" side.

... Well, it seems that most people here like the Shiki than the humans. I think what they're doing is wrong, but they have lost a lot of people, and the fact that something like Shiki exists is not common, right? Those events must traumatized them and made them lose their sanity, so I guess it's not a weird thing to do. :/

Ahh!! Drinking tea around dead corpses always makes it taste better. Seriously though the show seems to try too hard to make us see the evilness in humans. Yes human can act like monsters, we already know that from our everyday life thank you. Besides what else is shown there is not human getting carried away but also the ability human have to getting used to everything. It is absolutely truth. Every single each one of us could be having tea while covered in blood if he was under the right conditions. Btw how many days has the killing be going because it seemed like they were going at it for days btw they got used to it.

Btw i wanted to see Masao getting his head open. Please tell me she succeeded. Btw that girl is really hot.

Natsuno really made a good use of that guy with the gun. How clever.

Killing all those shikis must have made everyone extremely strong. There is no other way that i can explain their power of seeing that old fat nurse like that and not trying to pull their eyes out.

Megumi was nowhere to be seen. Haha! i will love it if in the end Megumi will be the one that gets away. That will piss off so many here.

There aren't as many open-ends as you think there are.

1.) Natsuno was busy making Seishirou his mind-slave. Tatsumi can't just go out into the open and start beating the shit out of villagers either, mostly because he's severely outnumbered, and would probably get mauled to death. Also, I don't think he'd do much besides protect Sunako, seeing that protecting her is his only clear goal. Getting himself killed would definitely endanger Sunako, which is another reason why he's not just going on some homicidal rampage.

2.) He was bitten by Natsuno. Mind-slave. Read the first part of point 1.

3.) You answered your own question. He was owned by his own sister.

4.) I'm fairly certain that this will be a point covered in the next episode.

5.) Kaori was likely carried to safety by Natsuno; this is implied by the scene in which Natsuno catches Kaori as she falls. As for Akira, I dunno. I don't think anyone actually knows.

It was cruel of the villagers to kill Muroi's mother like that. They could have just searched the house without spilling unnecessary blood.
I sure hope Sunako would be found and staked. This might put an end to all this madness; probably the only way the villagers can find a resolution of some sort.

How fucked up is your sense of justice and logic, guys?

Yeah, of course, the Shikis have the right to live. So what? They are eating normal people, and they therefore have the right to defend theirselves. If they have to kill the Shiki in order to survive, then that's perfectly fine.

The villagers killing the Young Monks parents was perfectly normal, too. This is a matter of life and death here. If one of them had truly been a traitor, then the whole village could have died. Avoiding collateral damage isn't as fucking important as making sure you will survive, because the Monk's an obvious threat and their life is gravely endangered.
Imagine being one of the villagers without becoming too emotional just because Sunako is oh-so-pitiful (she isn't, the anime has just managed to make the villains seem like they are righteous too, so that the last episodes are more dramatic and climatic). What would have been more bearable to you, killing 3 innocent people or dieing because you didn't kill them?

It's extremely hypocritical to say that they have a right to live by eating the villagers but saying that the villagers shouldn't kill them.

This is a battle of survival, everybody fight to live, the both sides have the right to live, but killing the villagers (their own people) is NOT normal. The villagers started to kill the shiki in order to protect themselves, but the fact that they killed Muroi's mother and the other two people who were with her is not right. Like somebody said, they could've searched the whole house, which they did but they did it only after they killed perfectly fine villagers. They didn't even believe the temple people, they were too convinced in their theories. They could've captured them and asking them where he is, the villagers just killed them. I doubt if they were traitors that would've make great difference. The villagers already killed most of the shiki. I doubt they are even 10 now. Even if they knew Muroi is there, they wouldn't have said where he is because nobody wants to lose their child/parent and whatever you can think of. The villagers want to save themselves, but now it seems they don't care if they kill innocent people. The whole thing is just getting out of hand. In situation like this they didn't manage to think and act reasonably. You're right about this is matter of life and death, but i completely disagree with your comment on killing Muroi's mother.
