| This chapter is beautifully pieced together, and I make no exaggeration at that statement. Here we see Gaja fell helplessly to the ground as he meaninglessly sacrificed his life for little to no effect whatsoever on Megicula. The mortal wasted away his life for something that a being of absolute power can simply shrug of in a millisecond. You can feel that the hope is fading, what was once panels filled with intense movements and actions as they have been for several chapters now has been reduced to more sombre and still images. Magicula's decaying world has the consequence of altering her surrounding environments physically and metaphorically as well by decaying any ray of hope that was once shining above Noelle and the other Magic Knights. Until there's no longer hope, no longer a way to win, just eventual defeat and death. And yet she stood, Noelle committed to an action so simpleminded and so illogical, a superior being is completely unable to comprehend it. A simple and dumb act to never give up. Just as all is about to end with the shroud of death encroaching upon these Magic Knights at an unstoppable pace, here comes the embodiment of hope itself! A mortal whose capability rivals those with great magical potential all because he didn't give up. Asta never gave up and his way of doing so inspires others to follow suit, allowing this event to come into reality. The advent of a hopeful force capable of somewhat going against Megicula herself! It's a really well put chapter once again, for a monumental 300th chapter no less! I especially love the progression and the close-up shots at Noelle's expression throughout this entire chapter. |

| Another great chapter. While I would have preferred someone other than Asta to come to the rescue, this works fine as well. Perhaps they will still need additional help. The art again was phenomenal and the stakes keep on building. Megicula continues to look more terrifying every chapter. |
