I mean yes of course I'm hyped. I loved the first season 10/10 for me. So I'm really excited about season 2. I didn't read the manga nor the light novel, but I'm thinking about buying and reading the LN. Because I didn't read it I can't understand the hate the anime got. I personally think it was awsome. Ok he should have killed the guy that betrayed him but that is the only (minor) thing that I disliked.

From what i read, the production of season 1 was a clusterfuck, the entire thing got scrapped and delayed which ate a good portion of the budget.
Then they rushed and crammed 24 episodes of content into 12.
Ppl say the source material is good, which I'm willing to believe, looking at the concept, what was skipped, etc...
I do believe this can be a good anime with proper production, but they fucked up so bad in season 1 that I would rather see a remake tbh.

I think I don't know wtf I'm doing. Maybe. Probably.

Im not Hyped at all which is a real shame because the Arifureta source matirial is amazing and is a fantastic novel, however the Anime was terribly paced and was really rushed, i honestly dont see how they are going to be able to continue the story considering they have missed out alot of story beats especially for Shia (Bunny Girl) i dont know how they are going to be able to develope her character in a meaningful way, they just turned her into a comic relief character when in the Novel she is alot more than that, The Anime's OVA (Of which is completly made up, at no stage do the girls read Vue's Diary if she even has one) kind of hints to the character development but not in any considerable way.

If you like the overall premise of this anime and like the characters i implore you to please read the novel, im not sure about the Manga i personally havnt read it and dont know its progress.

The CGI is unfortunate, but for 2nd season I just hope there wouldnt be anymore terrible storytelling.

The story is decent but the animation studio did a bad job in 1st season ,the middle episodes were really forced and bad paced ,the CGI was awful and it was like watching a anime in 0.5x speed,but at the later episodes it was really entertaining.I think they should add more budget in the fighting scenes.In 1st season I was feeling sleepy 😴 while watching fight scenes

Arifureta is not a bad story and believe me I have read manga, it's just the adaptation made it same old low level isekai but it's story is one of the best in isekai.

Arifureta doubts weather summoner really is nice and good person instead of other series where a person summoned just start killing people cause they are on different side of the summoner.

This season is just flooded with bad generic isekai/fantasy anime so far, this one has the opportunity to stand out positively among the garbage in the absence of better competition. I'll be giving it a shot, even after dropping it halfway last season (those stupid harem hijinks ruined the little good it built up, IMO).

I do like Arifureta a bit, and i'm hyped for the second season because i would like to see how it will look like as a good adaptation (i heard s1 adapted 4 LN volumes and s2 will adapt 2), with better animation (1st season animation was really damn bad), more character development and an actual plot (what was the plot again?). Poeple who say "theres always people trying to find something to hate on isekais" but damn we all have a reason to hate something and theres actually a very few amount of people who hates a show just to hate it.
