| I am feeling such pignancy now that Jiraiya will meet his end. Such a good character meets a sorrow end. The episode was really good, great development on him, he is so effective as a sannin and using his frogs. I did not like the music used with the new opening, such spoilers are contained as well, hoever the animation was absolutely awsome. I hope they will have immense animation on this fight and the others in the future. Man the series is really starting to live up to its potential now. Good episode, next episode is decisive. |
| Naruto is finally getting awesome again, its getting interesting and Pain is already one of my favorite characters, the second Akatsuki member which I'm really liking. From the looks of it the next episode is gonna be really intense and the animation looks like it's gonna be on par with Kakashi Vs. Hidan/Kakuzo and Sasuke Vs. Deidara! I hope so! And I'm looking forward to it. |

| I don't think so. The animation in the Gaara v. Rock Lee fight is very similar to the higher quality animation in Shippuuden. It may have been a little more fluid, but I think Shippuden is a lot better directed than the first series. I don't think anything from the first show matches the brilliance of Azuma's funeral. |

Don't forget that inspite of being not so well animated for most of the time, shipuuden has some gems, I'm gonna list those gems: -Episode 23 (Sakura and Chyo Vs. 100 puppets) -Episode 82 (Asuma's funeral) -Episode 85 (Hidan/Kakuzo showdown, my favorite anime episode of all time) -Episode 119/120 (Kakashi Gaiden) -Episode 122 (Sasuke Vs. Deidara) I think most of these episodes beat Naruto's top animation except the epic Naruto Vs. Sasuke ep 133 |

| What the hell is up with the mid-episode opening sequence?!? Why not just place it at the beginning instead of some random halfway point? I don't know which is more irritating, 07Ghost's episode preview at the start(which I cannot find any valid reason for whatsoever) or the confusing placement of the opening sequence in Naruto (I mean seriously, 7min(+/-) after the opening finishes the ending starts). anyway, yay! for finally getting to see the Jiraiya/Pain fight animated. |

| the episode was pretty awesome, its been long time since i enjoyed a shippuuden episode...i really enjoyed it, finally things started to heat up alittle, cant wait for the next episode. |

| Really really awsome special was this. Also the opening is one of the bests so far, the animation is absolutely perfect the ending is good too. I hope they would keep up the good work with it after all this will be a kickass arc. |

Hidan - The attitude, the fighting style and huge scythe! and the amazing job of the voice actor made this character a pure win. The fact that tthe animation was always awesome every time he was on screen might have helped (best animated arc of shippuuden IMO). Pain - He was a very interesting character ever since he appeared, I can't explain why, he is a character I wanna see. Popular characters (and strong...) I could care less are Sasuke, Itachi, anything Uchiha Kisame, etc. I could say Kakashi but I can't help it, his character has become greater and greater, but he's just so damn popular. A third Akatsuki member that also caught my attention was Zetsu. Besides these 3, I don't care much for the rest of akatsuki. |

| Very awesome episode. Its always nice when they use flashbacks appropriately for a change. Anyway, cant wait for the surely epic battle that's to come...even though the outcome was spoiled for me. And the new opening is very epic by the way. |

| sooo, nagato is Pain huh? And here I thought it would be Yahiko who stole Nagato's eyes and inplanted them in his own. guess i was wrong. But didnt Nagato have red hair and Pain has orange...? Anyway great episode. oh and Toby is in fact Uchiha Madara, didnt see that one coming O_o |

| Interesting, I thought Pain was Yahiko who somehow got Nagato's eyes. Much like how Kakashi got Obito's eye but, if Pain can be believed (and I see no reason for him to lie), it's the other way around. Also, I am interested in him switching bodies to this long haired one, but I am sure that will be answered going forward. Oh, and I am calling bullshit on his (I believe) false indifference. If he really didn't care about Yahiko, he wouldn't have a default appearance that looks so much like him. As far as his speil to Jiraiya about him being a god and all, I wasn't that interested. It is fairly standard stuff, but if the WHY of him thinking that way is well done, I should really enjoy his character. Edit: Jiraiya needs to die. Don't take this the wrong way as I enjoy his character, but te way I see it his death is the best way for the story to proceed. Now, the OP strongly hints at him dying, but I have a fear that it is somehow a fake out as Jiraiya definitely is not comparable to previous "good" ninja who have died like Asuma or Gecko.. It would reallly hurt Pain as a threat. I mean, nothing says "danger" more than him taking out one of the Sannin. |

| One episode and I already like Pain. Usually I just get annoyed by characters with god complex, but Pain actually reminds me of Darth Vader(someone else also noticed this) and I LOVE Darth Vader lol. I guess I have a soft spot for anti-heroes. New OP is great, I don't think it spoils too much, it gives you just enough information to keep you anxious about what's coming.. Best opening and ending in a while. |

| So Yahiko is dead and this is Nagato. But that doesn't explain a Yahiko type Pain and multiple 'Pains'. Anyway looks like Jiraiya an 'one of the Pain' are gonna battle it out. Also Tobi is Madara Uchiha the founder of the Uchiha clan, and the one guiding Pain I guess? Also somehow he's still alive after so many years. |
