C'mon, the person isn't gonna die, but I wouldn't be surprised if it caused Goro to relive some trauma.

Hopefully everything wrong, both yips and the dead ball thing, gets sorted out next episode, cause this is depressing.

lol, is Goro going to return to the Memphis Bats that quickly? Just a few starts in the majors and he gets sent back down.

The dude's WHIP is probably still below 1.

Oh crap!! I did not expect them to have him in Gibson's position from his childhood. Whether he goes back to the Minors or not he will definitely get back into the Majors somehow though. This is an intense and depressing start though, but I guess Season 5 didn't exactly have a happy ending either.

Well I think it won't be anything like sanding him back to Minor-s, probably his m8s will show in episode to try to buck him up, or find some solution to his current state.
Its not like he got nerves when the match is tide or close one, but after just one hit he falls apart. Probably it will end good, but ye it is lot of drama for the beginning of the series

I really dont like how this season started ,i mean there always has to be a problem that stops Goro from playing at full potential.
How did it come so fast to the situation for him (when he was always the closer) ,to be in the situation in which he fears that he might give home runs when its not even the end of the game and nothing is settled.

I knew it was coming from spoilers I read, but man, watching Goro be confused is tough to watch. He also tried to walk off the mound without realizing it. Not a good sign. But this is an interesting development.

From the OP it was obvious Goro was going to throw a dead ball, but the thing about 'yips' was a little surprising. At least the author is trying something different instead of using the same type of drama over and over again like in past seasons.

O no Shigeno Goro! He's already got a severe case of the "yips." This is going to be so traumatizing for him. Goro greatest attribute used to be that he would improve drastically when he was most needed, now it is just the opposite. At least now there will be more suspense throughout this season.

This is pretty depressing. He's already got yips and now he just basically brought a childhood trauma back to the surface. Don't know what he'll do next but I hope they don't send him back to the Minors just yet. I hope this will all be resolved quickly, like less than 6 ep :s
Really gotta wonder what's going on in Gibson's head when/if he was watching that on tv. Oh, and of course everyone else who knew about his past trauma.

Oh crap he hit the helmet. Damn Goro has gone nuts in the worst way, he's making excuses and doesn't realize it.

He's sick and can't pitch? You pitched on one foot in high school and now you are blaming things on a make believe cold?! Wow Goro I never thought I would see this.

Well it appears my first guess was correct the OP showed Goro Dead-balling someone in the head...Dammit ugh this season isnt starting out great for Goro...

Keene while he had a good idea into motivating Goro it came out with opposite result that will lead into even worse results in the long run.

Oh shit! Literally the worst thing that could have happened just happened. I honestly could see this being the end of his baseball career. Not only does he already have the yips, but now he nailed a batter exactly where his father was hit. If he can get through this though . . . But I have a hard time seeing that. I hope to god he does though, I didn't watch 5 seasons of him kicking and clawing his way to the top just to have the last season be his tragic fall.

Oh man, the start of this season is really depressing.
Keane's plan backfires.
Goro can't get past through his yips and now he hit a dead ball like what have Gibson done to his father.
I think it will be really hard to watch for the next episode.

Wow. This season is nearly as cruel as the first one was. It was bad enough to have the yips, but to go and yank all of his childhood trauma back up from the depths with that deadball... ouch. That is some serious potentially career-ending crap right there.

Again, although it's frustrating, I don't think Keane did anything wrong here. Toshiya wouldn't have been any more help in this situation, people. Gorou's condition is bad. Keane was trying to get him to become conscious of the source of his poor pitching so it would be easier to fix; there's no way he could have predicted that deadball. What a way for that plan to backfire, though.

It's tough, but I don't see this getting resolved quickly. We're probably looking at another four episodes, bare minimum, and I honestly don't even see it happening that fast. We could be talking half the season or more with a development this serious.

It's interesting to see Major do something different. This is new territory for sure.

DAYUM !

As if matters weren't bad enough for Gorou he had to do the same thing which gave him a trauma in his childhood.

Really love where this is going.

Wow.. what a insane, depressing episode. The director did a fantastic job of displaying the psychological torture Goro was going through since I felt like I was going through the trauma with him. Also, how brutal was that flashback montage of all the important losses Goro went through? Just brutal.

What an intense, drama filled season so far. Also, every time I hear the heart attack sound fx, I always think of Death Note and someone is about to drop dead.

Just wanna comment about this ep, like a lot of us, this was fcking depressing af to watch but I love how they directed Goro's inner problem.
Among all the season we had this was by far Goro's lowest point, he was really confused and fcked up from that prev season homerun.
Keanne's method was too drastic and dangerous, you don't fix a problem by forcing it, there's a high possibility of it getting worst, which it did, that deadball brought back serious trauma.
