Looks like the episodes are half length of standard episodes (15 minutes) this season. But yeah, the familiar faces are back especially the popular ones such as Aqua, Megumin, Emilia, characters from Overlord, etc. I still Ainz is the most intimidating face among this group, even in his chibi form. Garfiel is still a troublemaker even at school LOL. I was not expecting him to fight Albedo already in the first episode. This should be a fun season. |

After close to 6 years since Season 2, Isekai Quartet is back, and Kadokawa's IPs are more profitable than ever. NOTE: You NEED to watch the film released in June 2022, as a prequel of what's to come before Season 3. Season 3's OP return to liveliness, though nothing can match Season 1's OP greatness. The Isekai Quartet class is back in session the exact same with all 4 of Kadokawa's IP chibi mainstays, plus Shield Hero and Cautious Hero since their inclusion in Season 2. And this premiere is exactly everything that we know and love about Isekai Quartet... ...like Albedo wanting a sparring judo session (and Garfiel standing up to the plate), and Ainz having quite a worry towards Roswaal of the Isekai world created for this cause, though the latter shrugs it off believing that it's "mother nature" at work, being usually as vague as he can be. Though all of the sakuga can be attributed to Albedo and Garfiel's sparring, and the Isekai world at large, begins to shift again with Eminence in Shadow's Cid Kagenou's appearance as the special feature for Season 3. Get ready to be chibi-fied again for another wacky season that's a long time coming! |

I mean we ain’t getting the second season of Cautious hero anytime soon, so yeah good to see a bit of Seiya and megami-sama.. though yeah, it really was for a bit lol. Though that aside, I’ve always found it funny how Takahashi Rie had to voice two characters at the same time, and you can’t even tell if it’s actually the same person lol. Feels great to have all the characters back… a talking Rem and Beatrice who’s actually acting nice to Subaru. They didn’t waste any time getting back into the stuff, I mean, not that they really needed, but hey, stop talking stiff and getting into deep stuff lol. This is fun and jokes after all xD Cid is here as well btw, so that'll be something to look forward to. |

I missed this crossover a lot. I thought there wouldn't be another season. Glad they made season 3. Didn't think they'd start off with a cameo of Cautious Hero. Just when I thought the series might finally receive another season Seiya and Ristarte literally left. I guess that's a meta commentary about how Cautious Hero will never get a Season 2. The OP is great. No complaints there. Otto and Garfiel join the class as transfer students. I don't remember if Wilhelm was already here. I think Julius was already here. At the same time, it looks like Subaru and Beatrice's relationship got "upgraded." To Otto and Garfiel it's the same as she's always been cause they didn't really know her that well before Season 2. I didn't think the series would go there. But Ainz is theorizing that they're copies...? I mean I just saw this series as a goofy non-canon spin-off. Could they actually tie this to some actual lore? That'd be so cool. But I'm not expecting much. If any series could be affected by IQ it's probably Re:Zero. I mean they introduced a character who wasn't even in the novels in the movie ffs. Loved the small cameo of Season 4 Subaru and Emilia! That was so cool. Also, did Garf win against Albedo? That doesn't seem right lol. |

Wasn't expecting to see Seiya again but we did cool and he leaves well I guess that's the last of the little bit of Cautious hero that we get. Then some sumo cuz why not. Also so they're all like copies of the original characters not the actual ones? They can affect the actual them as well maybe? Then there's cid as well at the end chilling on the roof Also we really got IQ 3 before Tanya s2...well at least we get to see Tanya again in IQ. |

Good job rejoining the large crew, and new guys, and most interestingly explaining these characters in universe(s) as some sort of copies of those in the original shows, and slso possible hinting at a main plot for the season. |

We have never been more back omg. I actually need to check out the movie because apparently this builds on that, but 2 hours for an isekai quartet film seems crazy lol. Still, enjoyed the first episode of this, hard not to when you’ve got 6 of my fave LN series together. It’s interesting they’re now aware of the multiverse and their other versions! This season should be really crazy with Cid and the shadows too |

A good story seems to be unfolding in this world. Yes, Naofumi is better off baking a cake than wasting time on nonsense. It seems the group will have a hard time fitting Naofumi into the group, and unfortunately, Motoyasu hasn't shown up yet; he would be a great addition to the isekai quartet. Will Cid blow up this world...? Of course not, but only time will tell. |

Was the Ainz talk about how their other self, assuming their main anime, are affecting their spin-off selves referencing why Betty was extra fond of Subaru in this episode and had the non-ReZero characters thinking it was unusual as a certain event ReZero occurred after IQ2? Or am I overthinking this? Maybe this is a indirect tease will get more Cautious Hero cause that one kind of went no where. I honestly forgot they were even part of this series. Was hoping to see more of the Shadow Garden member but at least they showed Cid a tiny bit at the end. Also Emilia talking to Megumin. Very brief but always on the lookout for these moments as they're voiced by the same voice actor. |

Roswaal says that he won't let "Dragon, Goddess, Witch, X" have their way. "X" is self-explanatory. I take "Witch" is Satella (even though she's not really a villain and still exists in Quartet magic system). Who is the "Goddess", Aqua? The only noteworthy "Dragon" in Overlord is Platinum, but he's not involved with Ainz's backstory, while Dragon Emperor hasn't been revealed yet. |

@0451 They really just want the dedicated Kadokawa fans, I still need to watch the movie, though the OP already shows a group I'm only aware of after a bit of research into the series in question. For a Quartet, they sure make it seem like it's going to become a Quintet, even temporarily. Shield Hero and Cautious Hero have been more sidelined, which is fine, since it seems more practical to just use a smaller group for them, but Shadow of Eminence has like 6 characters in their group for this season. Which it has over 30 episodes, not sure if there's been any announcement of a 3rd season. Gap of 2 years from the last season almost, but that's nothing compared to Tanya the Evil Heck, I still have the Overlord Holy Empire movie, which I think is supposed to adapt an arc somewhere prior to what S3 adapted, but I may be misremembering |

@Amonimus In the web novel, the final boss of Shield Hero is a very powerful goddess, but since this hasn't been shown in the anime yet, I'm guessing that it's probably the goddess of that cautious hero or maybe Ires from KonoSuba. About the Dragon, I thought it was the volcanica one from Re Zero. The other Dragon from the isekai would be Gaelion from SH, but I highly doubt it. |

I feel like even if we grant there might be, or probably are, Japan equivalents in many of these fantasy worlds, even with Shield Hero recently involving Qten Lo, I have to wonder if sumo would even be the term anyway. You'd have to describe the sport to someone knowledgeable about the culture and they'd either recognize it or just think it sounds bizarre. But I think anthropologically, there are similar kinds of sports/practices in other cultures, if Golden Kamuy is any indication with Stenka, which isn't really comparable in hindsight because the main common element is the brutish muscles and clashing male bodies. It's weird how I almost have more experience for this than the DCU, which arguably has less stuff I'd have to binge to be caught up (Peacemaker S1 and 2 and Superman 2025 atm, plus future projects coming out).l I'm only missing the movie and Eminence in Shadow, but that's probably comparable in how much time I'd have to spend for Peacemaker S1 and 2 + Superman and Eminence in Shadow S1 and 2 + Isekai Quartet Another World |

@holdingnothing The cautious hero barely appears unlike Shield Hero who was the focus of season 2 now the focus of the season is on the eminence of shadows. In fact, it seems that somehow Subaru will convince Naofumi to participate in a picnic with him. I'm curious about the object of this since the plot of the season will be for the group to get along and this will be difficult to achieve since Naofumi is a tsundere and Cid is a maniac. |

@Desmascarado If we consider even the personalities of the ostensible leads from the beginning, it's hard to say they're without some flaws, though Kazuma is probably the worst, even if we consider his series is more comedic/satirical/parodic |

Fun episode, actual lore though??? Don't mind as it explains why characters get updated personalities on how they are in new seasons. Also, Eminence in shadow is here!!! Probably my favorite isekai, possibly favorite anime, so nice to see my content with TEIS, judging from the OP and trailers, i think theyll do a decent amount (hopefully). Cid saying he'll do what he wants just means he be a mob student and shadow at times. |

Was nice to see Cautious Hero again. Honestly one of the better isekai anime there's been. Would definitely rather have that than Shield Hero or Eminence. Wild that the lore here is deeper than half the shows involved. It'd be something else for it to somehow actually affect the originals. |

so if Ainz's theory is right that influences between the copies can leak through them across realities and that whatever they do here could influence how they are in the main canon anime is there a possibility that in the next season of re:Zero or Overlord or Konosuba for that matter could include some sort of nod or cheeky references via random quotes or phrases from isekai quartet? my god.. the timelines are are fusing! but fr in a realistic setting I can't see the point of doing that anyways so it might not mean anything at all in the grand scheme of things but Imagine Ainz randomly doing a inner monologue and referenced a cheeky memory that never happened. |

mhmm! so Ainz figured out their respective 'worlds' are influencing their lives in Quartet World? the problem is... poor Tanya's folks have JUST ONE MOVIE!!! worth of influence after her single TV Season! funny little moment where Seiya and his goddess Ristarte from the 'Cautious Hero' show appear yet again in Quartet World... they only had 1 scene for one tiny moment in Quartet S2 to give folks some tie-in with their TV Season... i wonder if Kadokawa has yet another Season for those folks in the works and this... along with Cid and his girls... is a 'sign of things to come'?? but considering Tanya's crew has been in Quartet World since S1Ep1 and hasn't gotten anything except their Movie??? i'm not going to hold my breath due to one iffy hypothesis. |

@CorbanEsp I guess I haven't been up to speed on what's happened. Took me like...3 years to watch even just the movie in two sessions. And for Eminence in Shadow, there was a movie I heard about, but that isn't always something new, it can be like what several series have done, cram the episodes into a 2-3 hour adaptation |
