| Episode 4 and still no fight scene from Shishiba. Apart's backstory is sad but also really creepy. It's understandable why his dad freaked out when the doctor said his son was "healthy," especially after seeing him mutilate a cat. Though honestly, he should’ve taken him to a psychologist or psychiatrist instead of a doctor. That said, I’m actually kinda happy to see him join Sakamoto. Even if Apart probably still has some messed-up traits, all he really wanted is to connect with people. His mom was the worst though. Ugh. I hope Apart becomes a permanent member... I was impressed that Sakamoto managed to hold up the Sky Tower to keep it from tilting, but then I was completely blown away by Takamura’s move… hahaha. Insane. Oh, Slur and that white-haired guy were riding a bike together. Well both of them have white hair, whatever. Can’t wait to see their run-in with Sakamoto in the next episode~ |

Feel sad for Apart, that backstory was rough, that ending sets us up for some epic fights that are sure to come!

| While Apart's story is tragic, it doesn't change the fact that he is a full-blown psychopath: he killed a cat and killed his own father without the slightest remorse when he was just a child. Of course, part of the blame falls on his parents for not being present - especially his mother. Compared to other death row inmates, Apart was lucky: he faced Sakamoto, who does not kill his opponents. If he had run into someone from the Order, he wouldn't be alive right now. I guess Takamura showed up to finish him off, but I don't understand why he made another epic entrance and then left. Maybe he sensed that Sakamoto was already there? In any case, I doubt Apart will join Sakamoto's team or work in the store. Even if all he wants is to be included, his psychopathy makes it unlikely that Sakamoto would welcome him into his family so easily. Japan's assassin central certainly seems like a nod to John Wick's Continental, with a very similar vibe. Finally Slur makes his appearance and, along with Gaku, they give off an energy as if they were Gojo and Geto. With them in the spotlight, there's no doubt that we're in for some incredible episodes. |

| So we got to know Apart's backstory, and why he turned into a serial killer. Apart actually wasn't a bad kid, but the neglect of his mother and the mistreatment he received from his peers (more like the rejection of being in any group), made him isolate himself, with only his father being the one that he liked. Which is quite sad, considering his father ended up being his first victim... I'm not sure if Apart would be a Psycopath, or a Sociopath, but by the end of the backstory he for sure turned into one of them. Not sure how he wasn't arrested right there, but ok. Honestly, his father's reaction was completely valid. I think one of the biggest fears of any parent, is having a child that is a psycopath, like, how to you deal with that? It's clear Apart's father wanted for his behaviour to have some medical cause. Obviously, hearing his own father, the only person thar cared for him, call him a monster, triggered the last switch on him to go on his killing spree, but I mean, is the dad in the wrong here? Anyways, Sakamoto's fight with Apart was really cool, with the help of that old man from the Order, he was able to defeat Apart, but not kill him. Now, I wasn't expecting for Sakamoto to bring Apart with him to the clinic, and give him a chance in redemption, that was surprising. Is Apart going to be part of the squad now? I mean, sure, Shin and Sakamoto were assassins before too, and they killed a bunch of people, but Apart is a different case, people like him hardly change, and the 2 situations are quite different... Also, we can even forget about the fact that he dismembered his own father, to the point he could see his brain, but WHAT ABOUT THE CAT? HE DISMEMBERED A CAT, AND THAT IS UNFORGIVEABLE. While I like the intention of the story, I did not like its execution at all, and I'm worried of what they are going to do with this. Anyways, we got to see more of Slur and his colleague Gaku, and they honestly seem really cool, and I wonder what Slur has in mind, with destroying the JAA. The JAA is for sure a twisted concept, so I'm curious to see Slur's motives. Edit: Forgot to mention, but Gaku and Slur going to destroy the JAA headquarters on a bike was really funny, especially that they made sure to leave the bike properly parked xD Also, Heisuke is hanging with everyone, because he's the one with the most free time, considering he is unemployed xD |

| @SoulReaper85 Uh, no? It doesn’t have to be. The action is still worth watching regardless. By your logic, no anime would be worth watching except maybe two or three per year, since that’s about how often something on the level of Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer comes out. Those shows set the bar for people who prioritize top-tier animation above everything else, people like you. But for people like me, who consider much more than just animation, we can absolutely enjoy a show and have the best time with it. So, to correct you, it doesn’t have to be top-tier. You just want it to be. Think about it, if it had to be, then the sales would’ve tanked, and they wouldn’t have made a second season. But they did. Which tells us the sales were fine, and the project was profitable. So why would they need top-tier animation just to satisfy picky viewers? It doesn’t make sense. |

@Skuvan They Announced the Anime for a 2 cour Season which is why it was able to air in 2 different seasons of the same year
For the Best action manga in Jump it has be to near that level
It needs to top tier Animation to really elevate the manga which TMS has been failing at with this Team

You claimed that TMS has failed to elevate the manga, but that’s not really accurate. Hypothetically, even if the anime hadn’t been announced for two seasons before the first season even aired, they still would’ve greenlit a second season regardless. That’s because for most anime, a Blu-ray volume only needs around 500–900 sales to be considered a decent performance. The first season sold over 700 copies in its first week, which ain't bad at all. So even if the anime doesn’t perfectly capture the “speed” or “choreography” of the manga, as you say, it’s still a profitable project that effectively promotes the series. Claiming that the manga’s sales would’ve been the same without the anime is just plain ignorance, it sounds like something you're saying out of personal dissatisfaction with the adaptation. Before the anime aired, the manga had 7 million copies in circulation, up from 5.5 million in August and 5 million in May, an increase of 3 million since November 2023, which coincided with the anime’s announcement. By March 2025, circulation reached 8 million, and by June 2025, it had surpassed 12 million. After the anime debuted in January 2025, the 20th volume sold 117,987 copies and ranked third in overall manga sales for the month. So yes, the anime did help broaden the manga’s reach, as shown by those strong circulation numbers. Please do a little research before making baseless claims, respectfully. |

@Skuvan Each Volume was selling 150K a Month after each Vol release and it's still selling the same amount after the Anime came out so it really didn't increase the amount of copies sold per vol release

So even if the per-volume numbers didn’t drastically rise, the rankings, momentum, and exposure definitely improved. | @SoulReaper85 You could say “the manga would've done all that without the anime”, but that’s just speculation, and the actual numbers don’t support that. If the anime had zero impact, you wouldn’t see such a sharp and sustained increase in circulation. This pattern is consistent with almost every manga that gets an anime adaptation, look at Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, or Spy x Family. The anime brings in casual audiences who wouldn't have checked the manga otherwise. So no, it’s not realistic to claim the manga would've hit 12 million on its own in that same timeframe. The anime absolutely helped. |

| The Order getting quite the scoop of Slur's real intention with the death row inmates to hide their real plan, it's becoming problematic by the moment... Apart's backstory was "sad" to say the least, that it only triggered the psycholgical trauma out from a family that didn't care for him...or rather, a family so devoid of life that his father is no different from being an egotistical maniac who finds delight dissecting people. Clearly, there's a disconnect in ideology, and Sakamoto's fight will depend on everything to set the stage straight. And nothing says the same as Takamura just slashing part of the tower to align it to the ground, allowing Sakamoto to fully focus on Apart and take him down, for a conversation at best. To that front, Sakamoto dragging Apart back to Granny Miya's place just to get intel on their perpetrator, and the others helping to comfort their enemy to get what Slur is after by destroying the JAA's base HQ, right at its heart. Slur and Gaku together to raid the JAA, who's justice will win? |

| Apart is going to be part of Sakamoto’s group or will he be nipped at the vud before he assimilates? I like his character because of his back story although it was pretty lengthy. JAA is under threat from slur, his name sounds cool for his character. Decent episode starting to pick up now |
