Feels like a common trend at workplace for co-workers to gossip and talk about Takuya. A lot of talk about family this episode though, especially from Rika's side. I believe this season is also trying to flesh out her character background as much as possible. More of her past is also shown too when she was younger. An important epsiode tbh. |

You know, if i was a boss of a travel agency, and two members of the agency would all of a sudden become engaged right when one company member is supposed to go to the end of the world ... IF i was a boss of that company, i would make just the calls now both of our mains received. But maybe im wrong, lol. But anway, the little Rika story flashbacks were very cute and sad at the same time. |

Looks like explaining things didn't go as planned. And more misunderstandings are created. Tho it seems they have other worries now with Rika collapsing like that. And we got to see some stuff from her past which looked kind sad. |

Nah, awesome, I'm loving this anime, the development is slow but steady, the interactions, while unexpected, still feel natural. I might start reading the manga... |

If anything that visit to his house was quite the escalation. Rika travel mode sure looked classy. Rika sure had a tough childhood. But i can see where her love of maps came from. Life back in Takuya's home sure looked tiring. But at least it was alongside family. In that kind of weather without a hat heatstroke is a dire threat. |

Someone needs to put this girl onto Google Earth. Or maybe it's for the best she doesn't, or else I don't think she'd ever go outside again lmao. But yeah, finally trying to break the news to the family, and this looks like it'll easier said than done. Btw, I THINK the grandpa's back hurts xD |

The best part of adult romance stuff is the emotional and mental maturity of the characters! I love that they’re not dragging out the fake marriage thing, at least not with Takuya’s family. Well at least until Rika had the heatstroke. Hopefully everything goes well with that and Takuya is just honest with his dad next episode. The grandma, as grandma’s usually are, is really wise and can obviously tell Rika and Takuya have a thing for each other, but they’re still a long way away from a proper relationship nonetheless marriage. Aw Rika’s backstory is really sweet, love how they explained her love of maps as a way of connecting with her mom who was always travelling and experiencing the places her mom visited. This continues even to present day! Rika is such a sweetheart she needs a massive hug. |

Whoever knows that Takuya and Rika are faking their marriage is definitely someone from work. And they're the one who's leaking all the information. Tho I gotta wonder how they got the information that Takuya was going back to his hometown... Would be creepy if they hacked into their phones or something... How can you hate 2 normal people so much? Anyway, it's cool to see Rika's backstory. It sucks that she didn't grow up with a father and her mother was distant. But maps kept her company. It seems like she has been obsessed with them since she was a kid and has never grown out of them. That's pretty cute. Don't think I've seen a character who's into maps this much so that kinda makes her unique. Takuya's grandma works as a deliveryman and a farmer? That is one hardworking granny. Considering Takuya is in his 20s and he has older sisters (one of whom looks like she has kids of her own) she's probably pretty old too (unless she got married at a very young age which was common for her gen). Yet she works and also seems mentally healthy. That's wild. Tho I don't get why the grandparents don't live with Takuya's parents. That cliffhanger was crazy. Can't wait for the next episode. |

Ninjitsu cat brushing. Kama is still best boy. Dummy Takuya interprets Rika's stalking and "stop letting other women into your apartment" as protecting the plan. That is a little bitty grandmother, but she could see the genuine affection on their faces that they cannot acknowledge yet themselves. "Aww, it hurts" Yes, yes it does. |

honjouji was such a good kid. the characters are really good. it is a very interesting type of romance. a score of 7.1 felt a bit low tbh. one of the comfy and slightly sweet shows of this season, with very low energy. |

This episode was adorable. I loved Ohara's reaction to seeing Honjoji's travel outfit. And Kama in the background reacting to Ohara's self talk! I find myself looking forward to this and Yakuza Fiancé the most each week (although they couldn't be more different). |

Because that person thinks Oohara and Honjouji make a cute couple (or something). I think it's very likely the boss lady, because she seemed to have a bossy personality and was really enthusiastic about it when she heard the news. |

She has a pretty design for a character who maintains a pretty low profile. The boss lady seems strict when it comes to work related stuff but she seems pretty dense when it comes to other things. Plus if she already knew their marriage was fake she'd probably confront or punish them somehow instead of sending prank calls. That's just my thoughts tho. |

@0451 Yeah, she would be my second choice, but I think if she's the culprit, it would be because she wants to break them up. I had a feeling she has a crush on Oohara, but that might be purely my imagination. Regardless, the boss lady and the pink girl are the only two choices, I think. I can't imagine a guy doing this kind of thing, definitely not one of his male co-workers... |

I can't imagine a guy doing this kind of thing, definitely not one of his male co-workers... I thought the pink girl might be doing this cause she is jealous. Or a more plausible reason could be that she thinks she'd end up going to Alaska if these two manage to avoid it. So instead of getting married herself she's trying to break up Rika and Takuya's fake marriage to improve her chances. I agree that the guys can't be the culprit tho. |

The extortionist is still around, and it's obvious that it's someone from the office. But since they only leak information about Oohara and Honjouji without mentioning their fake engagement, they probably want them to be together for real. perseii said: The boss is a good possibility, but I'm also suspicious of the old man in the Hawaiian shirt who hangs around with Oohara and Honjouji. He's the typical side character who doesn't say much but turns out to be important later on.I expect someone already mentioned this in earlier episode discussions, but... my guess is that it's someone who does want them to really go through with it. Because that person thinks Oohara and Honjouji make a cute couple (or something). I think it's very likely the boss lady, because she seemed to have a bossy personality and was really enthusiastic about it when she heard the news. Honjouji's childhood was very sad. I don't know what her relationship with her mother is like now, but as a child she dreamed of traveling with her when she looked at her maps. Grandma ignored her claims that her engagement with Oohara was fake, and I bet Oohara's family will react the same way. This reminds me of "The Proposal" with Ryan Reynolds for some reason. |

The way Honjoji overthinks her reaction to Takuya's time with princess, I can relate way too much. I'll do one little thing wrong and I'll be thinking about it constantly and avoiding the person involved. I love Takuya's grandma so much; I didn't think she'd overload Honjoji so much. |

I don't see how that "spy" or meddler framed as someone trying to blackmail or have leverage over the two of them (the one who has so far made two threatening phone calls) could possibly have known the truth of their secret plan and arrangement, going just based off all the information we have seen up to now onscreen. Not unless he or she installed some kind of tap on their landline or cellphones (just any electronic device over which they discussed it) or listening devices in their homes. Now it's gotten to the point where this person is compelling them to take actions they would not otherwise be taking if they didn't feel like they were being monitored. It's obvious that the plan has already gone awry and run out of their control. But even before their secret being compromised in some way and this harasser, even before any of the family involvement complication, I truthfully already felt that that was the case the moment they went public with the fake marriage intentions to the rest of the office crowd and said office crowd immediately didn't react as they seemed to have envisioned in their mind going into it that they would (which is just to take no interest and barely acknowledge it, owing to their status as quiet and mild-mannered asocial introverts at work and effective non-entities, leaving it as something easily naturally forgotten or ignored within days or weeks after the announcement). But the individual making the anonymous scary phone calls adds another layer to it. It's strange in a way because the show for the most part has and continues to have a very minimal stakes and calm and "chillax" everyday life atmosphere, but then that one element is like a high stakes thriller subplot just left nesting on ice in the background. This may be wrong, but for whatever reason I do have a feeling that although it's being framed as ultra-serious, I'm probably blowing it out of proportion here and it's probably a mistake to take it literally at face value. Since this is mostly a romcom and not a thriller or something it's probably more likely going to be something silly and dopey or a case of misunderstood noble intentions like said person really just wants to help along their relationship but has to resort to masking their voice and operating in the shadows because he or she is just as shy as them. |

@WatchTillTandava Agreed, this is definitely the romcom non-thriller route. I'm also in the camp that the person doing the threatening is actually secretly someone who wants to setup the pair together. For some reason my instincts are telling me it's Natsumi. |

Meeting the family is always scary! Not going to lie those melons look beautiful. I did not know melon plants look like that, it seems extremely organized, using stakes and now that I think about it the tarp to protect the soil will eliminate pests and weeding leading to better melons. Hmm. Now I'm thinking of growing some. Grandma is wise and thinks they're going to get married for real! Go Oba-san! And then it's plot device time! She faints from heat stroke and he carries her! Just then he comes face to face with his dad! A cliffhanger. Oooh! |

If yesterday Takuya was called by someone unknown, this time it was Rika's turn. She received a call. The voice on the phone said that he/she knew about Takuya's plan to return to his hometown to solve his family's problems. Not only that, he/she also said that he/she was watching them. Ugh, that's so creepy. Today the two of them went to Kumamoto prefecture by plane. They spent time on the plane with Rika telling stories about her lonely childhood. But this wasn't a problem for her. It was seen that little Rika didn't feel lonely at all, even though she was often home alone. Maybe because her mindset was too positive, thinking that her parents worked hard to earn money. Finally arrived in Kumamoto. At the airport, they both met Takuya's grandmother. The grandmother, who now works as a melon farmer, was offering her melons at the airport. Not only melons that she offered, the grandmother offered them to be taken to the melon fields before going to Aso (the final destination). There, Takuya and Rika had the opportunity to help their grandmother, who was working a little. Kumamoto's situation is hotter than Tokyo, causing Rika to suffer from heatstroke and faint, basically. Grandma and Takuya are quite panicked because of this. Grandma calls a doctor to check on Rika's condition, while Takuya carries Rika into the house. Eh, right at the entrance of the house, Takuya meets his father, who happens to be visiting the place. Seeing that Takuya is carrying a woman, what is the reaction of Kouichi, Takuya's father? Let's watch it in the next episode! |
