| Do you have a favorite shoujo protagonist, or at least a female protagonist from a shoujo-like show? Lately, shoujo and anime with at least a partial female appeal have been seeing a second wind, so I'd be interested in asking what leads really capture people's attention and affection beyond any hasubendos (or waifu for that matter). Especially among the target audience. |

| Aira Harune. I dont care abt demos so I dnt know what they are of the things I watch but im pretty sure this one is targeted at lil girls but its till one of my favs. s3 which takes place in a parallel universe's mc Naru is a far 2nd. |

| Yona from Yona of Dawn and Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket are my favorite shoujo protagonists. Akari Mizunashi is my favorite non-shoujo female protagonist. In general, I prefer female lead stories more compared to male. |

| @Shirayukin Kaleido Star is actually the very shoujo-like story about nakama. It is not surprising that many years later many resources or bloggers mistakenly perceive this as yuri bait, given the old trends in depicting friendship for a female audience. |

someone already said it but Oscar from the rose of versailles is my favorite female shoujo protagonist and my favorite female character to exist in general. she's so beautiful and cool.  |
