That giant frog looked angry...

Not going to lie, I had fun watching this episode not just for the party enjoying their dishes AND fighting together like a family. Seems like no matter what, they always find a way to overcome their challenge and get their meal. Kinda inspiring if you ask me. Those outfits though.

Can’t have enough of these tentacles right? Though these things sticking out of walls and all sorts of construction was already creepy enough, we kind of got another creep creature to increase the count… that oddly coloured giant ass frog. Can’t be surprised though given these people are already close to fifth level now, but to see these frogs wreaking all sorts of havoc just gives an idea how things would look going forward.

Thumbs up to Chilchuck’s sacrifice, no, I mean his bravery, because if it wasn’t for that we wouldn’t have gotten our bunch standing side by side in frog suits lol. In all honesty, they looked like clowns. Though that suit works, and kind of makes you look cute as well, believe it or not lol. Anyways, a bit about the dungeon's history, or more like guessing the origins of it, did give a deeper understanding about how things go there or how the elven creatures want it to. We’ll get the whole thing in due time, so yeah, nothing to stress about.

They’re at castle town, the fifth level, where we know they might meet the red dragon. They being full motivated to fight it head on, except Chilchuck aside, no I mean he too agreed in the end, so anyways lol, but that thanks talk from Laios in the end with the food really did give the feel we’re near the end, except we aren’t… by a long shot lol. Though that ending was kind of hype.

Dragon gets beat by frog people. LOL.

The Red Dragon-sighted orc village lurks just beyond reach, but the path leading to it is ensnared by a thicket of writhing tentacles, hindering progress. As Laios endeavors to clear the obstructing foliage, a towering Giant Frog emerges, seizing the weapons of both Laios and Marcille. In a daring move, Chilchuck seeks to overcome the colossal amphibian by triggering a concealed trap within the nearby wall.

Lmao, it's hilarious seeing everyone in their perfectly fitted frog suits while Chilchuck's looks like it's been patched together from scraps. Reminds me of those clownfish in Finding Nemo. But hey, at least we're not getting sidetracked with Namari. She's a sweet character, sort of like a caring auntie, especially at 61. Finally facing the dragon, but that time limit is really getting to me. I'm hoping they'll keep up the adventures once we revive the little sister.

It's crunch time for our party now.

Oh, I've heard that there are edible frogs, and that they taste like chicken.
They are translating all the text on the screen, finally.
"We think you'd look real cute" No way that worked XD
8:41 Oh, interesting. So immediately going from deep underground to surface can cause nausea to some people (races?). Makes sense.
Oh hey, the inverse scale again. 逆鱗 (gekirin lit. inverted scale) - one's superior's anger, imperial wrath. From the legend in Han Feizi of a scale (鱗) under a dragon's chin that grows backwards (逆) and causes the dragon to enter a fit of rage if touched.
21:28 There is a cool pun here. レッツ炎竜にカツレツ (rettsu Red Dragon ni katsuretsu). レッツ (rettsu) is "let's". Red Dragon is written 炎竜 (flame dragon), but is pronounced in English. カツレツ (katsuretsu) is "cutlet", but "ni katsu" sounds the same as "to win (against)". So the whole name can be understood as "Let's win against the Red Dragon", with "cutlet" smushed at the end. "Cutlets to conquer the Red Dragon" is a good translation imo.

Finally fighting the dragon let's gooooo. I guess Falin will be saved by the end of the first cour. I wonder what they'll do after that.

A fed Senshi is a happy Senshi!

"Cutlets to Conquer the Red Dragon" is such a badass name for a meal you're expecting to be your last. Wonder if Senshi comes up with these himself.

A band of dragonslayers in frogsuits who ate the remains of the monsters they slew would make for a pretty dope legend ngl.

Once again, the teamwork in this anime is fantastic! Everyone in Laios's current party has a distinct, unique role. I like how Chilchuck was able to come up with a plan with the frog while standing back, since he couldn't actually fight the frog and vines directly. Also, those onesies are adorable and totally merch worthy XD

Marcille's new hairstyle was surprising but really cute. I love how her main concern with the onesie initially being stuck to her wasn't the damage to her clothes or some other party seeing her, but specifically Falin seeing her ^^

The last meal-type convo makes it seem like this anime would only have 11 or 12 eps but we have a whole second cour to go :o

That being said, I also would feel sentimental knowing the quest is coming to a climax and possible conclusion—but Laios's speech was still cutely cringeworthy :P

-I love these frog suits
-More politics are starting to appear, nice
-World building, as always, at the highest level
-It's a pity that our heroes didn't think about how to defeat the dragon earlier, they had no doubts and stuff
-Laios is a real leader in this epizode
-I love it anime❤️

Chilchuk proved to be a huge help when the team needed it as they made their tough descent towards the 5th floor. The frogs were difficult to deal with at first, but Chilchuk's quick thinking saved everyone, which also helped them harvest the frogs and vines for more food creations. Not only that, but Laios was able to make frogs outfits, which looked rather hilarious on everyone!

The castle town does look like a shadow of its former glorious self, which makes sense as to why the orcs abandoned the place as the red dragon itself is roaming around here. I did think the fight against the dragon would be later into this series, but dealing with it now would make for an exciting way to wrap up the first half of this two-cour series. Laios' prep talk was a little cheesy, but I do hope his team can win against the dragon. =)

Didn't expect politics in this anime. Elves and dwarves hate each other in almost every universe.

Yeah, makes sense to use the environment to fight the dragon. They obviously had no chance in a fight with dragon head-on, with basically just Laios and Marcille (considering Senshi joining the party wasn't initially planned).

Next episode will likely be fire!

The first bit with the giant frogs was pretty cool with Chilchuck having to use the skin of one of the frogs to trigger a trap and defeat that last frog, it was pretty funny how they took Laios and Marcille’s weapons tho lol, ambrosia is an interesting name for a magic staff. And upon the discovery of the frog skin working on the tentacles, then came the frog bodysuits lol, they looked goofy but worked like a charm, and then the party found themselves on the 5th floor which is like an abandoned underground city with some cool horror elements to it with the whole seeing things in the corner of your eye and hearing voices.

Unfortunately the scariest thing in the city is going to be the red dragon that the gang has been trying to reach this whole time, I was thinking both cours would be about this dragon but it looks like it’s just the first cour assuming they win lol. And after Laios thanks everyone when they’re mid bite which made for a serious and goofy scene, the red dragon finally makes its appearance, how it was hidden I have no idea lol, but I really look forward to the coming battle that’s been in the making since the beginning of the show.

Where are Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin and Darkness to help Laios and them to defeat the frogs?🤣 but fr tho the battle with the frogs had really good animation and when they all wore the frog suits was so funny bc as usual Marcille has a meme-worthy face🤣😭

Ohhhhhh shit were finally getting the fight with the dragon tbh I wasn’t expecting them to fight the dragon 10 episodes in I thought we were gonna journey with them throughout the dungeon until the 23rd and 24th episode where they fight the dragon but to my surprise here we are fighting the final boss😮😮

It’s so cool we finally got a great amount of lore drop in this episode about the immortality spell that was casted on the dungeon and the elves wanting to dungeon so they can take the spell, I wonder where this plot point takes us👀

Crossing those tentacles would have been a nightmare; Fortunately, Chilchuck's intellect managed to use the frog skins as they were immune to the tentacles' poison. Convincing Marcille has become easier over time; She did not hesitate much to use the freshly extracted frog skins.

For the past few episodes, the anime has turned its attention away from food. The story behind the dungeon spell and the conflicts between races seeking to uncover the spell are intriguing and I hope they are explored in another episode or a future season.

It's time to face the dragon and rescue Falin; I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

@Embient I'd heard of a tradition or superstition about eating katsudon before a major test, because "katsu" sounded the same as "to win" in Japanese. As soon as Senshi said he was missing eggs, I figured he intended to make something like katsudon, or as close as he could get with the ingredients he had available.

@Rezete_01 Maybe we'll get a new OP. Current OP has a lot of people whose faces aren't shown, maybe a new OP will show them. Also, current OP depicts the castle town at the end, but they've already reached that location this episode, so maybe a new OP will show a new destination.

This episode's menu is pretty normal, right? I mean, I've eaten frogs too... although the dish Senshi made looked more appetizing than the one I had hahah.

Seeing their struggles made me think that, even though Marcille is a bit whiny, it's great to see that she can be strong up there. If it was me, I would've been dead since the first floor... or at most only the second floor lol. So curious how Falin is doing there...

It seems that starting next episode there will be a lot of fights? I don't know but if it's true then I hope there's still a scene of them cooking those monster menus. It's so much fun!

Oh, almost forgot. I really like the comedy here xD especially when they're wearing frog costumes.... that still have blood on them hahahah, poor Marcille! XD
