Yakusoku no Neverland is the obvious choice as the only one of which I thought the second season was absolutely abominable to an extent of going so far as to actually drop it midstream and henceforth thinking of it only as a one season-series (which, by itself as a standalone/one-off series as just season one, it's still a solid 7/10).
Other series though for which I consider the second seasons a noticeable downgrade from the first, usually due to a perceived change in focus and direction the story was taken in (but sometimes could be the result of multiple additional other factors, like lower quality writing in general):
- Kemono Friends
- Black Lagoon
- The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Spice & Wolf
- Shadows House
- Ascendance of a Bookworm (the first season was definitely the best of all those released thus far, but the second season itself was at pretty close parity and not too discernible of a step down; the third season I found significantly worse though)
- Beastars
- 86
- By the Grace of the Gods (this would actually be the one I definitely disliked the most and have the lowest opinion of after Yakusoku no Neverland season two; also tied with Kemono Friends as the biggest decline represented by the largest dropoff in ratings given by me to two different seasons of the same series. Only Kemono Friends season one I give an 8/10 and a 5/10 to the second season, whereas By the Grace of the Gods I give a 7/10 to the first season and a 4/10 to this one. Very bland cliched writing with very uninteresting all-over-the-place focus on a bunch of different characters that all seemed just like bland unimportant undeveloped archetypes because we spend a relatively small amount of time with most of them. The most intriguing aspects of the first season, like the colorful and creative variety of different slimes and their various different abilities, and catching and raising them, as well as the relationship with Eliaria and the ducal family, was abandoned in favor of this which was like impotent static by comparison).
- Vanitas no Carte (I wasn't that crazy about the first season either)
- Rosario to Vampire (this is one of my least favorite series I've watched in its entirety, so I also don't deem the first season very good or enjoyable; it's just that the second did nothing to improve the series and only leaned further into repeating the same things which made the series tedious or unpleasant in the first season, so in that sense I judge it more harshly)
Then there are those series for which the second season may indeed be slightly worse than the first or even downright atrocious by comparison, but I'll likely never know, as these are all series which I completed the first season of in full, but for reasons which mainly come down to either not caring and being invested in the story/setting/characters themselves enough, or caring and being invested but feeling like the first season executed its wrapping up of them perfectly or near-perfectly already, I won't watch the second or any subsequent seasons of in the foreseeable future or ever:
- Steins;Gate
- Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic
- Rozen Maiden
- Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (not sure if the whole Magia Record business is considered a direct continuation-style second season or it's more like a sequel to the series or spinoff of the series, but either way, no interest or intention of watching it)
- Golden Kamuy
- Moyashimon
- Terra Formars
- Psycho Pass
