No OP this episode

Dia focused episode with Kita stalking her, poor Dia trying to beat out the Satono jinx allegations and instead all of these random hijinks occurring during the first half of the episode.

Copano Rickey's first appearance and all of those Satono family members being shown off and not just drawn as black silhouetted faces or anything, really wanting to show off the whole family to beat out the jinx.
Unfortunately doesn't seem like they could get any licensing of the family members are they were given generic names in the credits of Satono Related Family Member 1, 2, 3.

Ending song this episode is 「夢のこたえ」, lyrics by 柿沼雅美 (Kakinuma Masami), arranged/composed by Aira (Dream Monster), sung by Satono Diamond

So much tears this episode and full of emotions.

To reach a goal like that and also following a dream. I love how they managed to build this episode up and into the ending with all those emotions. Satono Diamond is something special.

Definitely the most emotional episode so far. The first half was quite hilarious.

I'm so proud of Diamond. ^_^

She only talked for a couple seconds this episode but I gotta say, Matikane Tannhäuser's voice is my favorite in Uma Musume. It's so unique.
Some of Dia's attempts to break the jinx were quite funny. Especially when she jumped onto the truck lol.
Do we know who they are? Either way, I really liked Dia's backtory. Made her character much deeper.

11:41, 12:02 I like how the camera focused on McQueen here. It's like she can relate to Dia about carrying the family's honor with her.
I loved McQueen and Dia's talk scene! The art became really good.
I got chills during the race! And cheered for Dia too! I'm so happy, it's like I was there myself. Everyone crying got got me really emotional. Sasuga Uma Musume.
A special ED again! Eagerly waiting for the albums to release too (Even though I have to get Uma Musume music through illegal means because it's region-blocked to Japan on every music service...).
And apparently the Kikuka Sho winner gets a whole championship pennant. This is cool.

Absolutely amazing episode. My favorite this season maybe.

Unrelated to the episode: Rn in the game I'm speedrunning training because for me the current event ends tomorrow morning and I still don't have enough point to access the 8th (last) episode of the story. I need to see the end!

This was an emotional episode and it's nice to see that Satono Diamond finally got what she wanted and won the race.
It was also nice to see all the encouragement she got from her friends and Mcqueen who she looks up to.

For generic Satono members: I think that the permisson is not unable but unnecessary to get, they are intended to not represent any certain horses, but netkeiba has post a tweet about the searching result of all Satono racehorses in their database, trying to find who these are in detail(For anyone don't know what netkeiba is: netkeiba is the biggest online horseracing media in JP, owing a great database of racehorses worldwide, and often post related IRL information about current events in umamusume in minutes, such as who a new girl should be)

Okay, I was expecting continuation of Kitasan/Duramente arc.
Instead we have a full episode dedicated to Satono.
Satono curse, as per usual for Uma Musume, is heavily based on real life story of Satono horses having really good bloodline, being sold of a lot of money but being unable to win any G1 races before Satono Diamond.
Was a really nice and emotional episode, but believe me or not, continuation of Kitasan/Duramente story should overpower it.
And I don't believe that it's a coinscidence that previous season episodes 7-8 were Rice Shower arch and there we will have what we will have. Can't wait for it.

Will Satono's long-cherished wish finally come true?

Carrying the long-cherished hope of the Satono family, Satono Diamond, despite having ample potential and skill, found herself unable to secure victory in races, falling just short each time. the Satono's can't win a G1 - the Satano Curse. Determined to defy such words, Diamond embarks on a training regimen to break the jinx.

I still get chills when I think about Nature's pep talk to Kita in episode 2. It resonated with me on an emotional level, especially when she shared her own experiences from the time when Teio couldn't race. Setting that aside, it all paid off!

Dia secured her G1 win, and the Satono family celebrated their victory as well!

Wow that was a really good episode for Satono Diamond and her struggles regarding her bloodline when it comes to luck, good that she proved that there is no curse in the end with that win!! :D

Was Satono Diamond the first umamusu to have both parents shown alive and well?

A umamusu racing against some standard kids.

That's why is important to scream. Gives you more power.

Nice race.

Man, this episode really packed an emotional punch to the feels. T_T

The montage of seeing Satono Diamond dealing with her bad luck and jinxes at school was pretty funny, especially seeing Kitasan Black reacting to most of them adding to that humour, but the more important part of the episode was Satono Diamond's struggle to find a way to end the jinx that's effected her family for a long while.

The talk she had with Mejiro McQueen was an important one, which helped Diamond focus on her goal with a clear head. The race itself was very intense and I couldn't help but feel nervous about it as Diamond battled her way up towards the front as fast as she could, screaming at the top of her lungs for the entire home stretch.

I'm really, REALLY glad that she finally won and, at long last, delivered the first G1 victory for her family. Seeing scenes of her siblings crying in joy of seeing Diamond win, before transitioning to Diamond herself to burst into tears after letting the victory sink in, was very emotional. I'm proud of her! =D

Best episode of this third season so far!

It was nice to see Satono Diamond win a G1 race finally, but idk, this one felt a bit too cheesy for me, usually Uma Musume doesn’t have that effect for me, or if it does I can forgive it but this one didn’t quite do it for me, like there was absolutely no question she’d win the race after that pep talk from McQueen, as well as the other Satono horse girls watching at the same time, I think another factor could possibly be that Diamond has always been in top form, it was just her unfortunate luck keeping her from winning, so the win didn’t feel like as big an accomplishment as they made it out to be, but I guess it was more about what it meant for her to win over the win itself, so idk maybe I can forgive it lol, my opinion develops as I write these posts sometimes.

But don’t get me wrong, it was still a great episode, emotions were definitely high at the end, I did think everyone crying was a bit much with how silly the first half of the episode treated the supposed jinx but I definitely liked the moment. Now I wonder what the rest of the show will focus on since both Kitasan and Diamond have now had arcs heavily focused on them, I’m guessing we’ll see the other girls they hang with get some focus.

Starting off with the Satono Family's G1 conference, it seems that the family curse is stlll in effect, though it's up to twin sisters Diamond and Crown to take the spot.

The final race of the classic Triple Crown, the Kikkashou is of utmost importance to Diamond, and the pressure got to her when it comes to luck, trying all she can to reverse her bad luck: horoscope readings, fortune telling, Feng Shui, ghost sightings of luck, anything. But all of that just leads to more jinxes, and Kitasan's reactions to it were as hilarious, as it is just as concerning.

Given the Satono family's pressure for a horse girl to win the G1 crown, which no one has won so far, generations have come and gone, but the jinx was proving fatal as all hopes are pinned on Diamond to shoulder the family burden. To that aspect, Mejiro McQueen puts up a pep chat with Diamond to give her some advice, and she is the same as she's ever been from the start to give her a clear mindset to win the Kikkashou. The 3km long racecourse is unforgiving, but as the legend states that "only the strongest horse girls will win", Diamond pushed and pushed until she reached the finish line, finally breaking the family jinx for an overwhelming emotional G1 win.

Satono Diamond has done the impossible, now it's your turn, Kitasan Black.

This episode was amazing in so many levels, one of the best UmaMusu episodes so far.

I assume we all knew this time she was going to win, but her crying at the end made me cry too, Diaaa 😭😭😭

Asside from everything Dia did this episode, I'm so happy, the Fukukitaru, Tannhauser and Doto trio is the best, and after them we got to officially see Rickey for the 1st time in the anime, I absolutely adore those 4 girls man they bring me so much joy ❤️

Btw I find really funny how for the Satono team their maid is also their trainer, and she is a beauty too!
Sorry if my english is bad (っ˘▽˘)っ~~~
Btw, cry about it.

I thought Dia messing around with all the jinxes in the first half was foreshadowing her inevitable failure in the next race - i.e. the idea that she's already "lost" to the supposed Satono jinx by trying to counter it (by showing that it's fully in her head and always will be whenever she races) - so I'm pleasantly surprised that she got the win she has craved for so long in the second half.

That aside, the flashbacks showing past Satonos leaving the Academy raises an interesting lore question, given that we've seen so many other horse girls just hanging around at the Academy for long after they've stopped racing, such as Gold Ship who just "graduated" to that Dream League thing (a euphemism for retirement, based on comments in that episode's thread).

One of the best uma musume episodes, really got a few tears from me, satono diamond story was really good, I hope we had a good twist for kitsan black as well, now we're going for the second half of the season that tend to be when uma musume seasons become masterpieces

I think dream league admission has a threshold of performance(e.g. won G1 races or enough money) and then can stay in the school, while the majority of horse girls who hasn't won enough must graduate

Damn man, I like clapped and started crying as soon as she made it to first. Just seeing the other Satano's crying too got me worse. Superstition and stuff, like it's also such a good representation for the fears, doubts, and insecurities one has inside of them, and she spent so much time trying to knock them down this episode-- you know facing them head on yet it's not the superstitions themselves that's the real problem. So having her overcome her real fears and actually win was just so beautiful.

Diamond is unbreakable!!! The first half she's trying to challenge all the jinx is funny. McQueen helps her to get the right mindset is kind of heartwarming. Encouragement from your idol is old school but always works. When she finally fulfilled her family's dream is touching. Although they only have one ep and can't go more detail on this. This ep is still the best within the first 6 eps.
