Man, I know this show has its competitive elements but I couldn't help but laugh at some of the goofy moments.

Haruka seems like the only one who doesn't break character and sticks to his roots as a competitor. Others like Arisu...lol, they seem more like comic reliefs now.

Really loved the laid back feel to this episode I also really love the fact James Hunt was referenced as he was a truly amazing driver in his day

The race event was needed to show the character's growth, which was done well.

He did it again! He managed to take another picture! Another milestone to break out of his shell of being afraid to take pictures of people.
Haruka is a very kind soul.

Man, I thought the series' realism was phenomenal before, now it's almost like I'm watching the Hakone Ekiden, it's amazing. (Except for the water station, that's really not how those work, in case anyone wondered. 😅) Although a line of feedback or two on Haru's feet after running on concrete without shoes would've been nice, I can't imagine getting out of that unscathed especially as he pushed himself at the end there. The father-son bonding moments were also impeccably well done (again), not just the Kouta-Futoshi side but the Haru-Futoshi side as well... AND, once again those very lowkey BL undertones where Haru and Kouya are concerned. Subtle perfection all around, and I'm here for all of it.

Also: THANK YOU for this absolute FEAST of Kouta content! Better than the wagyu beef, I swear. He's my spirit animal, apparently - though he says he could run the 10k, which even the thought of derails my brain and has my soul leaving my body. But more than that, a total crush, sorry not sorry, his style (especially now I had some Miyavi flashbacks), his personality, the way he talks even, the way he's so carefreely touchy-feely with Haru - I just love everything about him.

Never thought I'd want to be a drone...... 👀 (great angles too btw 🤣)

loved the vibe of this episode. it's moments like these that really make or break a show imo, and this show did it right.

really seems like haru is going to be the reason kouya pulls out of his slump and starts taking pictures of people again. the only 2 pictures of people he's taken since the incident have been of haru. haru will act as kouya's muse to pull him out of the dark, and kouya will act as haru's driving force to push him into the spotlight.

also can we Not ship the high schooler with the grown adult? im getting so sick of seeing people do that with haru and kouya.

Pretty good episode despite no car racing as a 10k run is still a race. I was surprised that the run ended up in a 3-way tie and I figured that the wagyu meat would've been split 3 ways but that probably would've been messy. Btw it was funny how the elderly folks that volunteered in the cooling station misunderstood that all they really had to provide was water and electrolytes but instead had hot tea and food lol.

Anyways, the picture that Koya took of Haruka with Mr. Komaki looks great. Koya is slowly starting to take more human pics and hopefully Haruka doesn't mind this one.

Ngl somewhat disappointing, 2 episodes in a row without any racing aspects (I'm not counting this marathon lol). Thought really this will be an anime where the focus is on the sport, unfortunately very much focus on the drama and all the SoL moments.

Lets go! Kou has finally overcome his PTSD and is back to taking pictures again. Really cool to see. You know I gotta take back my earlier statement.

I thought MF Ghost would be the better “anime” and this would be the better racing story, but I think this is better as an anime too. Troyca have really done a great job with the characters and production on this one. I feel like I’m part of this family as they build up their race team.

welp, this has taken a disappointing turn these last few episodes. i can't be asked to watch a damn marathon bruh bring the cars. would've been passable if they were running with eurobeat playing though, funnily enough.

bringing up James Hunt vs. Niki Lauda was unexpected but welcomed. but then it kinda looked to me like Harunaga didn´t give a damn about Lauda whose crash was near-fatal - he was blinded by fame of his idol. i would understand it was for a plot but.. idk. very nice episode though, 10/10 can´t wait for more F1 references.

A 10K run sponsorship, anything goes for Komaki Motors's Kotarou to gain their sponsor count, though this indeed smells fishy...with a grand prize. Of course, this is spread to all the F4 teams to help out in the participation, which Kouya seemingly assumes that Haruka would be full of excuses to run away from the event. That's how everyone converges into Oyama for the race, which Kotarou did not want to run, but is forced to since each team needs 2 participants. Of course, his childhood friend and the Belsorriso racers are there too, though this is a friendly event. And since Futoshi broke his ankle, he becomes part of the sloppy commentary. It's clear that Alice joined Belsorriso for more than just the popular playboy Satsuki alone, but also growing her job as a grid girl as well.

Of course, this being a 10K run, it's an endurance run as racers slowly boil out, leaving Haruka and the Belsorriso drivers going, and the rather uphill race to the Fuji Speedway is brutal. At the halfway point, all the elders awaiting at the water station are all goofy and want to give all the runners all the food to drop out of the race, it's a surefire way to win the race by cutting it short, which the guys continue their run to the racecourse. Satsuki sharing the stint at the fateful 1976 German GP of James Hunt and Niki Lauda, it's the same feeling of expected winners and winners who win with confidence, and between Haruka, Toshiki and Satsuki, they gave their best for a 3-way tie, with Haruka winning the eel instead of the wagyu beef.

It's not the prize that matters, but of camaraderie between owner and driver. A rather good episode.

I've raced before, sadly i won a lot but experienced sad losses too. Not in formula, but this show keeps "hitting me in the fun zone" as the manager so wrongly states.
