| So they basically ruined all the emotional investment made on this boner issue by using a plot device instead of slowly build up his connection with Sylphie that allows him to heal, as Rudeus himself admitted this had to be slow and steady... I don't know what was supposed to be "emotional" or "crying-provoking" in this outcome as so many people is claming. If something it felt very anticlimatic |

| @satchoff Sorry for the spoil, I guess I didnt think of that :( I saw no tears btw. I only saw a dumb tsundere who valued her own ego and self-esteem above even her own feelings. But lets move that topic to its right place (episode 3 thread), if you want to discuss it further. Anyway, the show remains a solid masterpiece in my book. I can see the argument of the lack of action, but action was never the main draw of the show (similar to vinland saga). |

A wonderful ending! Sylphie really does crank that adorbs meter to 11 when Princess Ariel busts out the Mrs. Greyrat line!   I just really liked those semi-chibi reactions. XD Anyways, I think this was a damn near perfect adaption of this part, and all the fear mongering done at the start of the season can go suck it. Even though I've read it before, several times, Rudy's reaction to Sylphie still being there made me tear up... |

| Man, this cour was a pleasure to behold. It was damn slow, but it drew out some sweetness - their reconnection was splendid. As a standalone effort it left me wanting more (and cour #2 is 6 months away). MC's adherence to the panty worship and pursuit of maintaining a boner are apt and noteworthy pursuits in a coming-of-age setting. The pervy vibe of the first season kinda washed out (or became burnished) as we drifted further away from his previous-life persona and the conflict of the adult mind in the body of a child. Implicit harem vibe undermined by his dysfunction. It's still there, though. This one still walks a wonderful line, just on the other side. It's great enough to recommend as a stellar example but in order to do so, gotta cross a sex line. I like the connection of his sword teacher with one of his friends at the school. The cat tribe out in the rainforest. The handling of Sylphie's development was top notch. Abiding her conflict/reticence was painful, but I'll take it. I'll be back in the Spring. Our homie worked through some BS. He hung out with another god. There's a princess in the mix. This one wasn't as violent or as viscerally intense as what came before. I look forward to the second cour of this second season and have high hopes it'll be a superior body of work at the end of the day. |

| Sylphie has always been best girl. So glad Rudy finally sees it and the one who cares the most for him. Overall I enjoyed the season, just felt abit slow. But I did like these last few episodes. Not many animes go this far with romances and prefer to kick the ball down the street any time something is about to happen... so congratulations to Rudy and Sylphie. Going to be a long wait until next season now. |

| I think Luke and the princess reactions to Sylphie account of events sums up this season perfectly. It may not seem like it but Rudus has living on an edge of a cliff for years. The princess, lacking in empathy, just brushes Rudus predicament aside with an nonchalant attitude. Jokingly making light of the whole situation and even half berating him by questioning his value as a man. While Luke understandably takes his corner because he knows how devastating Rudus's condition can be. The contrast between Rudus as he is currently from when he was younger just shows how much he has been affected by the one whose name shall not be mentioned. He can't truly move on in his life if he is constantly being weighed down by his past, which is a reoccurring theme from the very beginning of the series. Brilliant writing once more. My heart skipped a beat when he woke up and Sylphie was gone but deep down I knew better. Sylphie coming out on top. Points, points, points. Sylphie is getting all the points |

| Not quite as engaging as season 1 was with some very weak episodes early on, but I'm looking forward to Rudy being back on the road again. |
