| I have to agree with some comments here, this is the best season of BSD by far. And to think i almost drop this series because i found S1 boring AF. So much tension, i can't predict what is going to happen. Also the girl there hide with the Vampire isn't? |

| All this shit with vampires and mind-control abilities coming out of absolutely nowhere without any foreshadowing is just fucking tedious now, honestly. As is the fact that we're forced to watch Fukuchi cheat his way through a fight scene every episode, while the show tries to pretend there's any stakes to it whatsoever and that there's even the tiniest chance of him losing. This is just a season of bad writing, falling into so many of the worst possible shounen traps and then just doubling-down on it at every turn. |

Agreed, a lot of new random things cropped up this season and we're kind of just supposed to accept it and play along with what ever little setup they're giving us. Also annoyed that they surprised us with how "humane" Jouno is, despite repeatedly showing us how much of a heartless psychopath he is. Still, it's pretty enjoyable to watch even though I don't know what's going on half the time. _________________________________________________________________ I'm glad that I watched the movie beforehand so I know who that girl is. Still, her role in this episode was pretty...coincidental. Lucky for him to bump into someone who knows and supports the Agency, when almost everyone is against them. Ah yes, the coffin is obviously the best place to hide in. |

| A good prep episode for the next one with one elephant-in-the-room major question left unanswered: Why on Earth didn't the Military Police Intelligence use that recording from the previous episode as evidence to expose Fukuchi into the entire world? Secrecy or "national security", due to them being intelligence, does not wash, since the hazard is global, not local. Nor being turned into vampires by Bram (as Fukuchi said he would do), since they could easily send the recording right away, before Bram's vampires reached them. A single piece of solid evidence, with Fukuchi spilling out everything, is far more effective than a million arguments by the Special Operations Division trying to "convince" world leaders or a thousand eye witnesses (like that girl). I know this is a plot device (as are many plot holes) to move the story forward, raise the stakes etc, but it is still too... crude to not even address at all in this episode (and e.g. conjure some excuse explaining it away). Sweeping major plot points under the rug does not make (most? many?) viewers stop thinking... 😩 |
