| totally kills the suspense gathered from chopper's transformation, but i don't mind too much. it's cool seeing everybody in feudal era garb, because the normal one piece has a very western feel. the plot line was a bit stale, though. i like the bit about chopper being rudolph! |

| From what I've read, this episode and the next one correspond to a Christmas special they made in the original air (something that many shows do, so I don't see the reason to get specially angry at this). In that sense is how it has to be watched and I think works actually very well. If you are marathoning the arc I guess that will make this episode sort of anticlimactic, but I think there's more sense to it than the bunch of flashback episodes they randomly inserted. And it is quite funny, the replay of Luffy's song is glorious and Pandaman finally gets a role that fits his qualities as a character. |
| Well to be honest, I didn't really think much of the episode. The fact that I got to see Vivi again (she is one of my favourite female characters ) was kind of nice, but it was really out there having this random filler in the middle of the arc. Also the fact it is all in feudal era time with shoguns and old japan is pretty entertaining. I didn't think it was christmas-y at all tho, it was pretty random, also wtf is with Luffy, he has weapons? :P |

| According to the Wiki this and episode 292 are Specials that air in continuation with the series.. This is the first time in One Piece's anime run that it's happened but that doesn't mean this is the first time they've done year-end specials.. chill out guys As for the episode itself I liked it! |

| Wow, after finishing Water 7 I came back to watch this filler. I skipped it due to its seemingly awkward placement but this makes so much sense! It's a cute Christmas special breaking from the horribly intense tone of the main arc. More than that, it's definitely one of the best fillers, maybe the best after Navarone! It's a really fun ancient Japanese retelling of One Piece, a story that could not be told outside of filler or one-off stories! It brings together all of our friends and enemies from the past arcs in a way they haven't been seen before. It's really a blast even if it's super simple. This is a nice Christmas special filler if you ask me. It even had Panda Man as a major character at play! |
| It might be filler that was placed in between one of the most intense moments that are inappropriate as hell to interrupt but it was pretty fun and it's good for those Japanese viewers who just want to relax in the Christmas season without missing anything important. I missed Vivi and I didn't expect to see her again like this lmao |

| I don't mind fillers, but the recent ones' placement is bothering me. :/ Even so, this filler was absolutely adorable! I genuinely enjoyed it. Seeing some of the old characters brought back such wonderful memories (especially Vivi, I miss her so much <3). |

| I’m feeling like I just watched an episode of Gintama in the middle of an important One Piece arc. It was an okay episode.. but terrible timing. Think I’m just going to grind through the filler anyway as I don’t like skipping anything. May as well get it out of the way and just look forward to getting on with the rest of the story. |

| So that’s actually one the better fillers. Cool to see so many old characters like Vivi, eyelash, etc. I didn’t know one piece did holiday specials. I feel like at the time of airing it would have been better around Christmas vs me binging it and wanting to see current day lol. Cute episode |
